Usually there's a sticky for this sort of thing but I'm at a loss here. Any /an/ recommended beginners guides to dog training? I'm adopting this qt terrier Sheltie mix and I want to do the best job I can.

You need to instill fear into your dog's mind.
You need to show the dog that you're the absolute boss, and it's helpless to your will.
It needs to know that it has no control over it's life.
It needs to know that it only does things when you allow it to do things.
