Sup, I found this at my work.
He arrived in a box of cucumbers from Spain.
What specie is this and what should I do with it? Netherlands here
Tarentola mauritanica.
depends, do you want to keep it?

Thanks!
Yes, my co-worker wants to take it home!
Any tips/info?
>>2033122
you can find a caresheet on google, they shouldn't be too hard to take care of.
I'd get it checked at a vet for parasites (you'll need some shit for it probably) they often carry them when they're wildcaught.
It's a little cold here, so I put it in the serverroom, it's around 24 degrees celcius in there.
>>2033127
>max 2cm
then it's not Tarentola mauritanica.
they're bigger than that.
>>2033138
Maybe it's a young one?
>>2033139
they're 5+cm when they're born.
most geckos in spain are Tarentola sp. though, it shouldn't be all too different.
>>2033142
Alright thanks, we'll see where it goes!
Thanks for the info.
Hemidactylus turcicus
>>2033182
I've never seen any that look like that.
>>2033193
juveniles as far as I know look like that. here in Portugal i've seen small geckos exactly like that, and that's the only specie we have here.
>>2033116
That is a qt lizard, please take good care of it anon.

>First the whole E.coli issue with exported cucumbers
>Now they come with free lizerds

>and that's the only specie we have here.
portugal has 3 species of gecko I think.
been a while since I visited portugal, how's the climate right now? last time it was dry as fuck.
>>2034631
yeh you are right, 3 species, and the one I probably saw was T. mauritanica. The turk gecko is only farther south in Portugal. Don't know why I had the idea we only had one specie. eh
Portugal is still rather dry, we only started to get heavy rain and colder days this year. December wasn't rainy at all.
>>2034652
it's the opposite here.
how cold do the winters get there?
>>2034660
not much we rarely hit 0ÂșC. Doubt that will happen this winter desu. Most days it is 10 at the lowest.
>>2034652
I live in Galicia and there was some rains in here during December. This year has been weird but normally we can get barely one or two weeks with sun and then the next few days rainy.
Can't argue about the temperature tho, you can only get minus zero if you live on the mountains or far from the coast, at least in here.
>>2034662
it's been about 10-5C this entire winter except last week with a shit ton of rain.
so the plants in portugal can technically survive the winters here, if they're protected atleast.
you know of any nice alpine species there?
>>2034627
It's the cucumber farmers' way of apologizing.
>>2034736
Just wait till Merkel falselly accuses Spain again for exporting veggies with ebola. They'll have to send Lynx cubs for each box.

You live in a basement stuck in a chair. To big for travel.
