Share your pet bird pictures and name! The story of where they came from too if you want too would be nice
This is my little Echo , he's an African Grey Parrot and he lives at the animal store where I work. We got him as a baby from the owner of one. He's such a cutie! But watch out, he likes chewing and biting off things... so don't approach your hand randomly. He especially likes water bottles. I will adopt him if we need to get rid of him at some point
I also have a white African Collared Dove called Blanco and he understands only when he's spoken to in Spanish. I got him from my step sister when she did her vet studies. The little boy was her test subject. That may be why he is a little more dumb than most, but he's my cute little lovely birb. He likes kiss a lot
In this pic he's angery
I took the water bottle from him

Cried hard when I read about this. Shit like this really makes me feel. The fact that this dog gets this kind of send off just goes to show how heroic he really was.
Let's talk about beetles
I like Ringo.
Not gonna say I didn't expect that
I like beetles a lot but I don't know what to feed it, don't you need like weird jellies or something?
This is what I want in a pet:
>super cuddly
>super friendly
>fine with being left alone
>just sits still while i pet
Pic unrelated, also, no dogs or cats, I don't want a dog or cat.
Teddy bear.

Is this a real bug ? Can someone ID it ?
>South East Europe
>Cca. Index finger sized

It's obviously plastic.

Its plastic but perhaps loosely based on the Anthia genus of predatory beetles.
Anyone knows anything about sparrows?
I have a question. I was eating outside on my break and as usual sparrows come near me to eat the crumbs.
Now yesterday they suddenly all left and surrounded another sparrow near me who was on his back. Like protecting him or something, he was lying there for a few minutes and then he got up.
When he got up it literally wasn't moving at all. Everyone left bur it stayed still. I tried giving him some food and it still didn't move. I could've literally take him in my hand.
Now after a few minutes it flyed off.
Someone explain what the fuck happened?
Did it have some brain injury or something?
The bird was probably injured or about to die.
This is one of the 3 baby mockin' birds currently being nursed in my back yard. They all puff out their feathers, lower their wings, and cock their head to one side and gape their mouths like retards for some reason. At first I thought it was because they were reacting to the reflection in the window, but I see them doing the same thing hanging out on the fence, or in the trees. Is it a way to keep cool, or a way to look big, or are they just retarded?
Your guess is as good as mine.
One of the youngins.
Takes them about two weeks to get competent using their beaks after they fledge to eat, and they're constantly begging their parents for food, even when it's right in front of them as it is in this picture.
Soon, dad is going to kick them the fuck out of his territory.

>Get best breed of dog
>Unaware that it likes to chase things if herding instincts aren't controlled
>Cry like a bitch over murdering your dog
Why are these people allowed to own Border Collies? This pisses me right the fuck off anyone who did even half an hour of research into the breed could tell you they need to be walked and stimulated mentally before being introduced to cars, let alone driving a car when your pupper isn't even in the car is asking for trouble.
Fuck outta here with young Jane Goodall.
I'm gay af for young Marlin Perkins.

Squirrels fit the miser stereotype
Hey, i have three dogs all of them labs, one stays in the house whike the others are in tha back yard. I feel like the two in the back yard are not being treated fairly. Anything fun i can do with them?
You make the doggos sad
Why are they set up this way?
Post here any unidentified plant/fungi/animal species that you have found and other anons will show off their knowledge by identifying them
Pir related, also produces 4mm, round, black and hard seeds
What are some exotic pet blogs? I'd like to read about people owning squirrels, prairie dogs, hyenas, kangaroos, etc. The good and bad, mostly bad. It somewhat satisfies me to see people with foxes get stressed out.
Also exotic thread, I guess. Sugar gliders and ferrets allowed.
I've raised virginia opossums and grey squirrels(under a wildlife rehabber walking me through) and had a short tailed opossum. STP are neat but not very interactive. Less than sugar gliders which I currently own but he was super chill as long as you moved slowly. They don't live very long.
I've thought about owning some type of squirrel like a flying squirrel or prairie dogs but I'm a lot less interested in exotics since you can just get better out of other pets normal in the pet trade. I can't see myself owning something like a fox or coyote unless I went back into rehab, had the space to just let them live out their life after being dumped.
mainly the groups are on Facebook. i own 2 flying squirrel a prairie dog and short tailed opossum. the prairie dog requires a ton of attention

How is the flying squirrel? I've only read good things about them but I have a friend who had a captive one from when it was a baby and she said he never really warmed up.
How is your P-dog? What are they like compared to cuddly animals like ferrets?
So what bear would make the best pet? Sun Bears or Spectacled Bears? And how much would they have to be shrunk down?
