Anon, buy mushrooms at the store. Misidentifying a mushroom still sometimes even kills trained people. No way you are going to be able to safely identify it from advice off a Mongolian turtle forum.
>>2460284
anon, please listen to the fpbp; you can very likely kill yourself from eating the wrong mushroom; look alikes are incredibly common.
Chlorophyllum Molydbites
It will make you very sick. They are super common, taste good, smell good, but are the most common source of mushroom poisoning in the US.
Violent gastrointestinal response, i.e. bloody vomiting and diarrhea for days.
Not worth the hospital trip.
Parasol mushrooms are for experienced foragers at the least, if at all. They may not kill you but they all look alike at various stages.
I have been thinking of a project to help motivate myself in life.
Here are the kinds of flowers I'm looking for:
1. A flower that either grows or glows in the dark. One that thrives in darkness. This is symbolic of the ability for people to grow in the darkness, or the unknown. That no matter how dark things get, growth can occur here. And while it might be scary, it can also be beautiful.
2. A flower that can grow in the heat, and maybe one that only releases seeds after a forest fire. Im thinking of something related to a phoenix here. The idea is resurrection. The ability to come back to life after death. Shedding your old self and blooming into something new-and beautiful.
3. A flood-resistant flower. This symbolizes the ability to withstand the floods life throws your way. When things dont go as planned and everything washes away, you can either drown, or ride the wave.
4. A "dragon" flower. This is symbolic of beating or taming your "Dragons". The big fears in life that must be acknowledged my everyone but people are afraid of facing. The thing that hides the very treasure you seek. Im thinking a dragon flower of some kind, ive bought a dragons breath flower before for this.
5. A rose. This is to symbolize that in order to grow into something beautiful, you need to grow some teeth. or in this case, thorns. If you were only beautiful youd be a flower, but a rose is a rose because of its thorns.
If anyone is willing to help me think of some flowers that would match these descriptions that would be neat. I plan on making a small square or circular pot holder with pots that hold seeds for each flower. the goal is to get into a habit and water my seeds of growth. the idea that all of these things need to be groomed to make me into the best me.
side topic: Flowers that look like things

For a glowing plant, no one seems to have any of the genetically modified seeds available yet. However, there are tons of plants that bloom at night. I like the smell of Cestrum nocturnum in particular.
If you really want something that glows, Panellus stipticus isn't too bad to cultivate. The bioluminescence from the mushrooms is pretty dim, but neat.
For fire and renewal, the first thing that comes to mind is fireeweed, Chamaenerion angustifolium. It basically forms a sea of purple amid the blackened remains of an intense wildfire.
For flood resistance, water hyacinth might be interesting. It has literal sponges for stalks to float around. Also survives hurricanes just fine.
I don't really have any ideas for your dragon flower.
Mimosa pudica is a shy plant that curls up when touched and it's pretty darn stubborn about hanging on and growing in shitty soils. I can't see it guarding a treasure, but its flower is pretty whimsical looking.
Is this a Loxosceles spider?
No.
They are not hairy or furry.
They are small.
Eyes are arranged in groups of two, two forward, two on each side, total of six.
But that's definitely a brown recluse, you should take it to the vet.

Thanks for the advice and clarification. Certainly will do that.
that spider really tries hard to be a swaglord faggot
is your cat a big fat cat?
no i own a dog, h'es fat

My girlfriend's cockatiel NEVER STOPS and it's driving me fucking insane
Things he screams over:
>The sound of water anywhere in the apartment, be it a sink or a bathtub
>Plastic bags of any kind
>Me just leaving the room
>If I do the dishes without having him perched on my shoulder
>If I take a piss without having him perched on my shoulder
>If I leave the room
>If I don't leave the room
>If I use the microwave or stove
>If I use the rice cooker
>If the neighbor's dogs bark
>If any bird outside makes any noise
It's fucking deafening and I'm at my wits fucking end. We've tried everything. Positive reinforcement when he's good, negative reinforcement when he's bad, etc.
Fucking help, /an/, I can't get a moment's peace and I want this little shit to behave
Take it to the vet.

Nice meme
I never understood the whole "cockatiel screaming" thing. My brother had one for over a decade before she flew away and even her loudest vocalizations we're relatively quiet. Softer than a cat meowing at your feet for attention
What dog breed is this?
grey wolf
a lhasa apso and a fat leg in tights
>>2460128
It's kinda brown so I think it might be crossed with a bear too
My baby opossum is sick, he was having a lot of trouble breathing earlier. It's gotten better but I think he has fluid in his lungs, When he breathes I keep hearing popping noises. What can I do to help my little guy?
>>2460076
Take him to a vet to get some baytril and doxycycline and steroids. Sounds like pnemunia or a uri.
>>2460078
I'm broke as shit until Thursday, is there any other options.
>>2460079
Give him a small piece of dark chocolate and keep him in a well ventilated area. Take him outside for a few hours everyday until Thursday. Keep his cage extra clean.
I don't know anymore
hang in there monki

it's gonna be alright little man.

Hi /an/. Do any of you have an idea what this insect is? I suspect it's some kind of larval form of something, but that's just a guess.
Location is in a bottomland hardwood forest in south-eastern Louisiana which has been under about a foot of water for at least a month. I found two of them (along with a shed exoskeleton from one of them) on a rope which I had left tied to a tree about four feet above the ground/water.

firefly larva
Here is a side view. It has six legs, and it would inch its posterior like a spare leg as it walked, kind of like an inch-worm does.
>>2460004
Neat. Thanks /an/on.
So I have a question, I have a Betta fish in my living room, and every week or so, this weird gray stuff at the bottom. Does any one know what this is, is it bad? Is there a way to stop it from developing?
At the bottom of your betta?
>>2459979
Is it...is it maybe poop?
>>2459979
>grey stuff on bottom of betta
It's fungus, your betta's going to die. You can try get some anti fungal meds but they don't do that much.
>grey stuff on bottom of tank
It's poop you fucking retard
how do you like my new dog?
what breed is that?

Looks like a smart dog. He's even sporting a smile.
I dont know much about cats so im asking here if anyone knows if these kittens look old enough to be able to eat solid food. Found them today, gave them milk and left them. Planning on feeding them daily since im unsure if they have a mother caring for them.
Do not give cats cow milk for christs sake
They're street cats, they're gonna eat what you give them. Someone had already given them some milk but it had completely gone off so I decided to wash their bowl out and give them some fresh milk. Just assumed they were hungry since they were constantly meowing idk.
>>2459924
They look old enough to eat canned wet food. Don't give them cow's milk, it could make them sick. If you have any pet stores nearby, you should be able to find kitten formula.
Is it a minitoy?
it's retarded
>>2459899
No shit, it's a chihuahua.
