would that even work or is it different when it's THEM making the loud noise
Single guy living in an apartment. Thinking of getting either a Dachshund or Schnauzer. Any preference?
>>2460793
Despite being a pain in the ass, I loved my dachshund. Only thing was that she was hard to house break, it takes some serious dedication but is possible. Otherwise, she felt like a big dog in a small dog's body, she was full of personality. Really sweet and smart, she wasn't crazy about little, little kids but tolerated them. I lost her this year just shy of 17, so they have some serious longevity. I miss her terribly and would consider getting another.
On the other hand, I never owned a Schnauzer but I've heard from people who have that they're wonderful dogs.

I don't think it matters much, but either way do it right. I'm assuming you have permission to get a dog, but you if you don't, do not do it. Adopt from a shelter or breed-specific rescue group or buy a dog from a responsible breeder, don't go to a pet store or backyard breeder.
Once you get your dog, spend time taking it out and socializing it with humans and other dogs. Especially since you live in an apartment, daily walks are not optional at all, be prepared to commit to this even when the weather is shitty. Your dog needs time devoted it every single day, don't get a dog if you aren't willing to do this.
One thing to prioritize is to train your dog to not bark constantly, this makes apartment living miserable for your neighbors.
This bird came into my house last night, what kind of bird is it? I've never seen it before

One time, about five years ago now, my gold fish committed suicide and my mom told me I could revive it (using a straw ) and doing little fish cpr on it. Bastard lived for four years and then just said fuck this and hopped out of his bowl when we were away.
We had a mouse at work that was evidently preying on the mice that did get trapped.
This guy suddenly pushes you out of your hole and starts holding you like you are a sack of potatoes

Top kek. Thanks, mate.
My 10 y/o mastiff went through the trash in the night and got at some chicken wings. I do not see any left so she must have ingested all three. Just recently she threw up and inside was shards of chicken bone. This concerns me, wat do? Its been at least four hours since she ate them and maybe an hour since she threw up. She just recently ate, but she hasn't taken a dump since last night.
My friend's dog ate like 30 chicken wing bones once and was fine. If I remember right he said she didn't shit for a day or so and then took what seemed like a really painful, bony one and that was that.
How has your 10 y/o mastiff not been trained out of this behaviour? You should have done that 9 years ago.

Feed a bunch of rice or soft bread. Anything to surround and cushion the shards.

My favorite mammal is the cheetah and in RPGs i max speed.
Never liked Sonic, though.
Not sure about absolute favorite but Red Breasted Nuthatch is top 5 material. They're so cool looking.
Vultures get too much of a bad rap for no real reason

How much walking should a 24 lbs spaniel mix be getting each day? Currently 2.5 miles total (two 1 miles, and one 1/2 mile)
Sometimes she lags behind, but sometimes she's ahead of me later on.
>pic related
>>2460450
Accidentally made it the name instead of subject, forgive me
Dogs can walk a lot further than you'd expect
2.5 is plenty, hell you could go further and she'd be fine
>>2460456
Thanks
Red pill me on these /an/.
I've used the hamster ball in the past, but it wasn't until now that ive started to think about the negative consequences it might have on my hammie
>>2460408
Why would the ball be bad for your hamster?
I assume you have a job, same thing for humans...
>>2460408
It's perfectly fine. The biggest danger I guess is overheating. Just don't use without supervision and don't use in very hot conditions.
Is this a forming bee hive? What should I do with it?
>>2460394
looks more like a wasp or honet nest. very odd looking one but bees don't make hives like that.
>>2460395
So I should definitely kill them right?
>>2460394
Where the fuck are you?
There are lots of wild species of bees, we can't identify this individual species without knowing exactly where you are.
Hey /an/, what's a good shampoo and soap that doesn't test on animals? Asking /an/ instead of Google bcause I trust y'all better.
Just Google it.
The ingredients were test on animals anyway.
