Cats are much more like people than dogs. While they're still pretty stupid they have free will and use it. Sometimes they wanna be loved and love back, other times they're busy contemplating whatever cats contemplate.
Can someone please hel me to figure out the name of this spider? It's very tiny... I'm from Argentina

Tricky Rick dog.
Any plantfags able to tell me what this is? I'm not sure if it's some kind of flower or bush, but I'd like to know what it is/called.
>>2464596
Looks like some impatiens...
>>2464635
I thought so too but impatiens don't usually have yellow stamen/carpels.
>>2464636 it may be a hybrid type or a kind not very common, impa can grow big like this .besides it's a pretty tree
What would you define as a species? Organisms that can produce fertile offspring? 4 of the 5 species in the Panthera genus (the odd one out being the snow leopard) can reproduce and have fertile offspring, examples including ligers (Male Lion X Female Tiger), jaguleps (Jaguar X Leopard), jaglions, leopons (Leopard/Lion), and tigons (Male Tiger x Female Lion).
What does this mean for the term species? Could a hybrid breeding population survive in the wild? Are snow leopards really incapable of making hybrids, or have we just not tried hard enough? And most importantly, is this the next step humanity needs to make towards genetically engineered catgirls? Discuss.
>>2464544
Organisms that are able to reproduce is the classic definition.
>>2464544
The next step humanity needs to make towards genetically engineered catgirls is in interspecies cloning. If you had a willing human egg donor, the cloned kitten would have human mitochondrial DNA. Theoretically, you don't even have to implant the egg in a human either.

Here's some chick that tried it with a dog:

Where does /an/ buy doggo stuff online? I wanted to get some nice stuff for my good girl, but IRL stores where I live are absolute garbage AND expensive as fuck (they pretty much only have balls and ropes for insane prices)
Pic related, the kind of stuff I can't find IRL and would love to get my doggo

Amazon or Chewy
Is it possible to ship a puppy? I want a specific breed but they don't have any in my city. I've heard it meantioned that you can ship a puppy by plane. Is that cruel or stressfull for the puppy?
>>2464478
Just drive to it
I mean, I wouldn't stick a puppy on an 8 hour flight. But I had one of my dogs shipped on a 1 hour flight, and went to pick him up at the airport.
So it depends on the distances.
You or the breeder may have to hire a pet travel company.
>>2464522
Yeah, I know it would be quite the cost, but I would work out some way to have a dude stick the dog in a car and drive it to you rather than fly it long distances.
I've been told that when a dog's palate/roof of mouth is black, the dog is aggressive, contrary to a rosy palate. Can someone confirm this?
>>2464415
I was told that too, but I think it´s BS
What would the color of the palate have to do with temper?
>>2464427
I dunno.
>>2464415
Sounds like a great way to get bitten by an unsocialized chow
>walking dog a few days ago
>see baby bird laying on grass
>get a stick and push it little by little to make it walk into a bush, its wings were not strong enough to fly.
>wife thinks bird is a goner
>I go outside at night and the baby bird is in the same spot I left it at, I give it some bread
>not sure if bread is even good for birds I just didn't want it to go hungry
>morning comes, bird is still in that same spot, but the mom bird is with him
>afternoon and nighttime, the mom bird is still with baby bird.
>Third day of seeing this bird, go outside in the morning, dog gets excited and lunges at them.
>They both fly away towards a tree 20yds away and sit on the branches instead of on the dirt under a bush
i'm very proud of them and you, anon

Life uh finds a way.
+1
>walking golden retriever off leash in field
>find baby bird in grass
>can't fly, but is chirping loudly and dragging itself around
>dog stops to sniff bird
>proud of how gentle and sensitive he's being <3
>dog suddenly chomps on bird and picks it up
>he drops it instantly
>bird is no longer moving or chirping
my dog is a dick

>November, 2016
>Sleeping in the afternoon
>Wake up from nightmare
>Mom is calling me
>Head down stairs
>She tells me she found a dog
>Ask her if it's the dog she told me that she saw on the street a week earlier
>No
>She opens outside door and closes it so that my other dogs don't quarrel with stray
>She tells me that he fell on her feet when she was taking my brother to his private math classes
>Dog looks like he came from Hades' kennel
>Grey, fairly large, very skinny and fur like a used broom, weird left eye and with a blue, perfect collar around his neck
>He's nice to me
> I enter
>Dog starts howling
>I chill with him while my mom does the dishes
>He asks me to pet him and lays on my side
>After like 2 hours, I ask my mom if she would come with me so we can try to find his owner
>He walks slowly, like a tortoise
>He falls on the ground when we reach the street where my mom found him
>I take a closer look
>His stomach is bleeding, his head, his neck is bruised due to the collar, and the soles of his paws have carpet burns
>Ohshit.jpg
We return home, he is severely dehydrated and hungry, tired af too
>We take him the next day to the vet
>He was beaten by a stick, we find pieces of wood in his head
>He has to take alot of medicine, painkillers and antibiotics
>We put him up online
>28000 views on Twitter (My dad is kinda of a twitter celeb, he writes about Corinthians, we live in Brazil)
>Noone knows the dog
>He develops a deep affection for me specifically for no apparent reason
>Now, he still looks like he came from the fucking limbo, but active af, has normal eyes and acts like a puppy, and he has grown
>People stay wary and are intimidated by him, and he has a painful bite, as he has bitten me by accident once
>I think he is a Big Schnauzer
>I called him Nino, short for Menino
>Pic related
My other two dogs consist of some sort of bigger New Yorkshire and something that resembles a Daschund but with taller legs. Both of them can't protect much.

So I need to train him to become my battle buddy to protect me, as Brazil is a gun free zone (for civvies, at least)
Advice on the Interwebs didn't help much, and I figured you guys know your shit, please help me train him? I mean to train in like attack commands, for him to follow me on the street and not have to use a walking collar, and to obey commands like sit and wait, and not attack random people or dogs without my consent. Thanks in advance.

Are Crocodiles and Birds superior compared to Dinosaurs?

Rewilding is just introducing more non-native species than humans already have. Why do humans have to fuck literally everything up. Even humans "helping" is just more destruction.
>>2464274
Not really, there are many places on earth that lack certain animals that once have been there. So it would just be a sort of "reintroduction" to an environment that humans took away from them.

Thank bro
How do I stop my kitten from being so aggressive? She always tries to stalk us and gets really angry after playing. Then if we leave her alone she follows us and bites our hands and toes.
i hit mine a lot and he turned out cool. it only takes a couple of good memorable whacks before he respects you, like he bit my ankles once and i kicked his head so hard he was breathing funny for at least 2 days. now he has calmed down cause he knows he'll get it.
I've noticed a few rashes on my dog but this is the largest area.
