Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.
Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:
-tank size (include dimensions, not just volume)
-parameters (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, pH, GH, KH)
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had them

don't repost your awful meme suggestions from the last thread either
Looks pretty hideous but I set up my first fish tank. It's 5 gallons and I plan on putting a Betta in it. I dosed it with some chemical that supposed to kick start the cycle. About how long should I wait before going out and getting a Betta to put in?
>>2465497
Fuck I forgot the picture.
What should I buy for it?
Decorations, gravel, plants, filters, and other stuff to maintain it.
Also, I'm planning to put some corys in there, which fishes could be nice neighbors?
bump :^)
This is a decently slow board, so you don't need to bump very often.
I would ditch the fish and get an Axolotl. Way more interactive, and they live longer too.
A 63 gallon could house three very comfortably, or one gigantic specimen.

You should get a rooster
Did you know that the peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) is one of the fastest dinosaurs of all time? Reaching speeds of over 200 miles per hour while diving in on prey this feathery predator is at home in both wild open fields and atop busy city scapes!
The peregrine falcon has pointed long wings making it a heavy wing loading, and rapid wingbeats yet provide an energetically expensive high speed.
surely the purpose of this thread isn't to start a pedantic debate about taxonomy

Here we go again!
are you ballsy enough to do what Brave Wilderness does for a living?
>Gets a Yellow Jacket or any other fucked up insect or animal that can hit you painfully
>Intentionally get bitten by them
>Scream for a bit for 4 to 7 minutes

Sounds like the road to joint problems due to all the toxins, venoms, and poisons. There's a list of disorders and diseases caused by repeated exposures like that.

This
If he ever does the Warrior Wasp I reckon that will fuck him over hard.
>>2464879
His latest video is false advertising, that's a paper wasp and not a yellowjacket.
In a zoo, wolf gets aggressive with soldier, zookeeper saves the soldier

notice how she kicks the shit out of it and doesn't back down
it's all about fear
>>2464611
Yeah. She even chases it down afterward to scold it.
That was hardly an attack. The wolf wasn't looking to do damage.
I'm getting a 4 Month old Border Collie Puppy next week.
I'm planning on chew and potty training him right away, obviously. But most of the things I've read are for 2 month old puppies or so.
What do you think are the most important things to consider about a 4 month old pup compared to a 2 month old one?
Does he have any earlier training? If not, treat him like a two month old. You have to be real adamant about being consistent with training a border collie too because they can turn psycho otherwise. Give him a job, they're an incredibly smart breed just need to direct the energy into stuff. Start teaching him simple tricks so he learns to be obedient and willing and eager to please you
>>2464433
No training, no.
He was just left to be himself with his parents and other dogs from the breeder since the siblings were sold a month ago or so.
I've read a lot about BC and I'm planning on training him a lot and taking him for hourly walks before and after work everyday. Thanks.
>>2464442
I forgot the exercise time to age conversion for puppies. I think it's 5 minutes for every month (so 4 month old = 20 minute walks). Hopefully someonr else can confirm, but Don't over exercise your dogger.
>Had to fucking put my dog down today
Anyone else had to go through this? He was a little jack Russell terrier and he died fucking instantly.
just buy a new one lmao
>>2464358
When you agree to get a dog, you also agree to watch it die when its time comes a few years later.
All dogs are temporary pets.
>>2464403
>tfw turtles are the only permanent pets
Can someone tell me what kind of bird it is I think it's an owl but not sure
Also what should I give him to eat
Here's one from the front
looks like some kind of nightjar
>>2463739
Thanks dude I went to the vet and he told me the same so I guess I should take here of him till he can fly
Pic related.
It's a Hallucigenia.
I really want to try to fuck it.

Dinosaurs look way better with feathers imo. How is this not badass
So I caught a little caterpillar, bloody bastard was munching on the aromatics I grow in my garden.
How do I make it turn into a butterfly?
Let him keep eating
>>2462679
Not my fucking aromatics though. Is eating all that's really needed?
Any favourite foods you know of?
>>2462684
>Any favourite foods you know of?
Clearly, your aromatics.
What is the most successful mammal on earth?
>>2462676
humans
>>2462676
Success is a pretty broad term
Cats
face it, they are in almost every home across the world
So these people claim this husky mix is a wolf hybrid. I initially thought they were full of shit, but I noticed a bunch of things.
>wiry fur, not soft like a husky
>mannerisms are really aggressive when playing, not resembling a 5 month old puppy
>always bullied by other dogs; all the dogs, including puppies, constantly team up on it
>have seen like 10 dogs of all different ages, breeds, and size chase down and bully this thing
>when not getting slapped around, it has really an aggressive, loud, hard playstyle
I'm not 100% convinced it's a wolf pup, but even my golden retriever seems to act different with it than other dogs, and he's 100% love. I feel like it shouldn't be lawful to take them to a dog park if other dogs, or them, are at serious risk... right?
It's also 5 month old and more the size of a husky
Also, some crackhead used to bring his red wolves (I think), 3 of them, to the dog park before they got in a fight with a pitbull and cane corso which ended in basically all 3 needing some level of medical attention. They look similar in the face to this thing.

It's a dog

Fair enough, thanks anon.
looks like my dog wowo
Is /an/ excited?
Dinosaur Zoo time
>>2460859
Looks neat.
Looks cool but this is clearly pre-rendered
>hey guys lets work on this fence with a giant super predator on the other side
>rex can somehow bust 3 feet of reinforced concrete like its styrofoam
>guy cant outrun a rex even though scientists have found that they were much slowers than humans and only hunted other large animals that were just as slow as them
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dz-n_Fo9-g :(
I thought it was satire at first. Had no idea these things were venomous.
>>2460801
The fuck.
>>2460801
Damn that's fucked up.
