Anyone here with cats?

I recently adopted pic related

He is an awesome cat and really smart. He got sick with an upper respiratory but he is almost 100%

However he has been having dirreha due to the antibiotics and new dry food I'm giving him. The problem is that he put his front paws on the ledge of the litter box. Sort of like standing up. And so his poop always touches one of his rear paws. Causing a mess and living shit prints around the house.

What could be the problem? Litter box too small? The litterbox is always clean so idk why he does that

He might not like the texture. Some cats try really hard not to touch a certain litter texture.

Cute cat OP 10/10 face

>What could be the problem?
It's a disgusting cat

Try a finer litter, try a bigger box, you can see if he'll use one with a lid. My cat uses a 44 quart Rubbermaid bin as her litter box. It was only 5 bucks and now there's no chance of.her go in over the edge. That combined with a litter he likes might help.

It's really just a trial and error process with cats who are picky about litter boxes. Try some different things, good luck!

Try to prove me wrong, I think you can't

We are talking here of the most resilient species to human disturbance - dare I say - antifragile

Insects and other bugs do fairy well too, but plants are even more persistent in the face of anthropogenic change

There's radiotrophic fungi living around the radioactive core at Chernobyl, literally feasting on the deadly gamma radiation as if it were sunlight. They took our best chance of killing most of biosphere and made it an advantage.

Fungi are the best eukaryotes

How much room does a deer need?
I mean if people hunt and eat them all the time, it sure as hell should be OK to have as pet in a great backyard.

Post your pet, others try and guess their age.

This guy's been an indoor cat most of his life, fed and groomed well, and has never been to the vet.

Any takers?

I just got home from work to find my dog of 11 years dead in our backyard. He had a bad ear infection and unbeknownst to me, my brother was giving him aspirin. It was the special kind from Petsmart that's made for dogs, but he was giving him too much of it (apparently 3 to 4 of the 120mg tabs per day). The signs and symptoms of his death all seem to point to this. I don't think it was anything else. My brother is denying it because he's just as grief stricken over it, but I'm 99% certain this was the cause.

Words can't explain how I feel right now. I legitimately want to die. I feel like all of my zeal and ambition for life has been stripped away. I don't want to do anything but cry.

That said, I want to talk about something. For the past year or so I had planned on doing many things for this dog that I never got around to. I wanted to take him to a professional cleaner and have his nails and teeth and coat done. I wanted to buy him a proper harness so we could take walks without fear of him hurting himself when he pulled. I wanted to buy him a larger dog house. I wanted to do so much more for and with him. Things that I had planned to do but put off because I didn't have the money, or had it and spent it on crap.

I feel like a piece of shit. I feel like I've failed him. All of the great things I wanted to do with and for this dog were always put on the backburner, and now it's too late. Just typing this makes me want to stop breathing forever. I hate myself for it. I will never forgive myself for it. Please prioritize whatever you have planned for your dog. Please bump it to the top of your to-do list. I no longer have the time or opportunity to, but you can. I got my tax return and I spent it on bullshit. Fucking garbage I didn't need, when I could have spent it on my dog like I had planned to.

His name was Ty. I'm so fucking sorry, Ty. You deserved so much better. I love you and I'll never forget you.

Hey anon I know you feel guilty right now but it's clear that you loved your dog a ton. Even if you couldn't spoil him the way you wanted, the fact that he was safe and loved would have been enough for him.

I'm sorry for your loss

Sorry for your loss OP

"Ty was a good bowler, and a good boy. He was one of us. He was a man who loved the outdoors... and bowling, and as a surfer he explored the beaches of Southern California, from La Jolla to Leo Carrillo and... up to... Pismo. He died, like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364. These young men gave their lives. And so would Ty. Ty, who loved bowling. And so, Theodore Donald Karabotsos, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which you loved so well.
Good night, sweet prince."

>The slow loris is the world’s only poisonous primate. Its venom is stored in an elbow patch. When it is feeling threatened, the slow loris will raise its arms above its head in a diamond shape, suck in the poison from its elbow patch, then mix it around in its mouth before delivering a toxic bite. So when illegal traders catch lorises to sell, they usually remove the hapless creatures’ teeth — with wire cutters.

http://www.snopes.com/2016/04/14/tickling-is-torture/

I'm not looking very hard but I can't find a lot of info about this particular slow loris, Sonya. Who owns her, where she is, where she came from, etc but it is true slow lorises do get their teeth removed like that and suffer a lot from the pet trade and traditional medicine which also in turn unsustainable for wild populations. They are not cared for or housed properly, often dying from malnutrition.
People who own them aren't rich first world celebrities with tons of money. They're sold openly in markets or smuggled out where they are illegal to own. According to wiki they're difficult to breed and care for even in zoos.
Aside from biting, they also freeze up when threatened and are nocturnal.

The 'tickle is torture' seems more about raising awareness about slow lorises in the pet trade in general and just because an animal is cute doesn't mean it's a pet rather than just Sonya here.

What is this little bird called?

One of them came to my table the other day. It was obviously not afraid of being that close to a human, and I found that very curious. It had its eyes on my food, and once I gave it some, it took it and flew away. I never saw pigeons or crows acts like that.
