What do you say to your dogs when you are petting them? Any nonsense words?
I say "oogie boogie boo" or "wuzza wuzza woo". Yes, I am autistic.
Pic related my pupper
I say nothing and observe the dog's behavior to ensure what I'm doing is what the dog enjoys the most at the time. I also frequently make sure the dog isn't getting bored by stopping the attention briefly to see if the dog tries to restart the attention by looking at me, pawing at me or putting muzzle in my hand.

He looks cute. Is he a good boy?
Post photos of bugs and hopefully someone else can guess what it is.
Can anyone tell me what this bug might be?
Found the little shit on my bed
If that's a bedbug, you've got trouble. Those things can infest a house like you wouldn't believe.

ROACH
I came here for the first time and the only thing I see are 4~5 threads about shitty autistic cat owners arguing with shitty autistic dog owners
>Dogs are better hurr
>Cats are much clever durr
I really hope y'all older than 18 because that's fucking pathetic, I thought here you had discussions about how to properly care about animals and shared interesting/cute pictures
So im starting a cat&dog thread because I can you idiots

Do snail eyes grow back??
If they get cut off or atleast removed I mean
No, they will not grow back.
Please stop torturing animals.
Any Vetfags? I found a worm in my dog's stool and can't I'd what kind it is. Looks like a tapeworm or roundworm. I can't take my dog to the vet because he's aggressive and last time I took him he acted up. So should I just buy dewormers? *Will post pics*
These pics are blurry but I can't take better one's since I have a shit camera. Please help
>>2470893
Definitely not roundworms. Perhaps pinworms. I think that and roundworms are the most common but roundworms basically look like short pieces of spaghetti.
Just get some revolution and treat them for a few months.
You know you can call a vets office and ask for advice? Instead of know it alls on 4chan who are going to give you incorrect advice.
And even if your dog is a mean prick you can still take him to the vet.
What do you think this dog is doing or how it relates to you
Probably sticking it's finger in its mothers cunt after she's come back again totally smashed and passed out on the sofa from drinking out with her girlfriends. He's probably recording it too on his smart phone.
He's regretting the porn he just masturbated to and thinking "what am I doing with my life..."
What do you think this dog is doing
So i found what i believe to be a Cicada Killer Wasp today outside my back door (pic just found on internet, not of the thing i found). Do i have anything to be worried about? i live in Maryland btw
Compared to other wasps they're pretty relaxed.
Like a more terrifying looking bumble bee.
>>2469907
Cicada killers are practically harmless so no.
Why is it inhumane to declaw a cat? It is a critter I feed, house, and clean up after, without proving anything in return.
>>2469338
Nice bait, but you gotta get more subtle. Not using a pic that answers your own question would be a good start.
>>2469342
Dude I seriously believe it is morally ok to do this. The thing is, it's living under my roof and I already cut it's balls off. So why would be wrong to cut off the tips of it's claws.
>>2469346
Because it's not the same thing and there's a reason it's illegal in a lot of places and considered animal mutilation there. It's a much more painful and dramatic surgery because it's essentially 10 amputations and there's evidence the pain is long term and doesn't go away like neutering. Plus, it cripples the cat and alters their gait permanently and can cause more behavioral issues like aggressive biting without warning and refusal to use the litterbox.
Scratching is normal cat behavior and there's many ways to deal with it other than declawing, including trimming their claws, providing plenty of appropriate scratching posts, putting sticky tape on furniture to discourage scratching and using the soft nail caps you can buy. Or if it's really, really something you can't deal with, get another type of pet instead of mutilating a cat.
>parents plan on adopting a dog
>already have 4 cats
>house is small as fuck
It's almost certain we're getting a dog at this point, anything I should know/worry about? Never had a dog before
pic unrelated
>>2469103
be prepared for your parents to completely neglect the dog and refuse to ever take proper care of it.
good luck. my family did this same shit except with 3 dogs. get out as soon as you can.
Your house must smell like shit.
Tell your parents they need therapy. save burgerbux until you can afford to move out- anywhere at any time.
Any good wildlife documentaries?
be happy about yourself :) - Op

Ah, I thought a new reply came but it was my own lol thanks
>>2467642
No, none exist.
- Pugs
- Chihuahuas
- Dachshunds
- Whippets and other perpetually pathetic pinhead dogs
- Like half of all dog breeds
For the betterment of Planet Earth, please can we just gas all pugs? Or at the very least agree to not make any more?
Please, see reason.
>>2467295
I seriously thought that was an abo skull at first.
>>2467302
Looks like it ehh
>>2467302
Can anyone ID this snake? I know it's a shit photo but it's the middle of the night and I don't want to get to close to the thing. Can't afford to get bitten.
I'm 90% sure it's a mocassin
>it's a "dinosaur thread gone wrong after a featherfag or scalefag posts bait, ending in yet another feathers vs scales debate that leads to nowhere, with both sides acting pretentious and shitting on each other" episode
>it's an 'autist makes a thread' episode
>OP complains a about feathers again
What is the more potent method of derailing a thread? Scalefags or Ibrahim et. al.?

This is the invertebrate general. If you have any questions about invertebrates, want to look into owning one or more, or want to simply discuss them, this is the thread to do so, whether its

MYGALOMORPHS I NEED MYGALOMORPHS
so, for my question, its to late (fall of my building when he tryed to escape, but he have a glorious death so............)
How good of a mantis is Hierodula sp. Sumatra? My sphodromantis lineola died today so I'm looking for a new one.
Cat brought home a bird last night, and I made a little nest for it in a cardboard box and left it with some water. It survived the night but isn't flying away, so I don't think it has any major injuries but there's clearly something wrong with it.
There wasn't any blood, just a lot of feathers around, and it only made one half assed attempt at flight when it started flailing its wings in the box and never tried to take off after that.
What should I do with it? Pic related
>>2470729
Either take it to an Audubon or wildlife rehab center, or just leave it alone in an isolated but safe spot so it can leave when it's ready. I've seen birds with cat wounds that were fine after they were set somewhere secluded overnight. It probably doesn't have a broken wing but if a place is near you that you can take it to it wouldn't hurt to have it checked I guess.
>>2470734
The only place I could find is really far away, so I'll just leave it out there for today, and if it's still alive but not flying tomorrow I'll take it there. And thanks, I never come to /an/ and didn't know such a thing even existed.
>>2470729
he either makes it and can fly or not OP. no good options really. you did what you can for the little guy. just keep him somewhere safe until he's ready to go or just let him loose into a safe space outside and let nature take its course.
btw that's a really clear pic. is that from a phone camera?
