>watch dinosaur movie
>the dinos don't have feathers
>switch it off immediately
What can society not understand about this?
>>2358598
I don't remember there being significant proof of dinos having feathers until just a couple of years ago, but then again humans are known to be fucking illogical
>>2358598
It is far preferable to think of dinosaurs as some mythical, reptilian super animals that no longer exist, than to acknowledge that they still exist in some degenerated form, as fragile, harmless looking birds that get torn up by our pet cats, and destroyed by shitty little bb guns.
Dinosaurs are skeletons.
Should dangerous dog breeds or "fighting breeds" be banned or heavily restricted? Why or why not?
It can't happen until people crack down on backyard breeding.
>>2357884
You can still restrict the actual breed, so anyone wanting shots for their dogs, tags, microchips, etc. can't get them unless they register their dog, and then they'd be hit with heavy fines and possibly have their dogs taken away or be restricted from owning future dogs of that breed.
Slippery slope.
PETA is behind the majority of BSL with the intent to make the breed part as vague as possible(pic related allows labs and poodles). They hire the top jew lawyers to make that shit happen and defend every euthanasia. On top of that, the government abuses BSL to the extreme; taxes are raised to support the new regulation, however in nearly every area where BSL is in place, it's a non profit organization that takes on all the financial responsibilities, and they don't get reimbursed at all for it. All the fines and lawsuits goes to line someone's pockets. To make matters worse, these non-profits end up also having a very bad live release rate as a result, which then proceeds to give the shelter a bad reputation and even less support. BSL often opens the door to other laws being passed silently, like how that BSL in canada tried to get away with allowing any city official to search your home at any time without a warrant. Even if it was enacted, it would likely not change a damn thing unless you did random unauthorized home searches. Only scum and thugs would posses illegal shit, and scum and thugs are the main owners of dogs that attack unprovoked. I'd also imagine that wherever dogs are banned, guns would be banned too. It is usually a liberal thing to ban stuff.

I really like crows.
How do I make friends with crows /an/?
What sort of food do they like to eat?
If I ring a bell every time before I feed them will they eventually associate it with food and show up?
Apparently McDonald's fries will inspire gang warfare

So tell stories about animal abuse you've witnessed or performed. Please avoid the edges.
p.s. I am somewhat regretful for being apart of that but don't really care now, in the past and all. I've got more....
I saw several cats being drowned as a kid ;_;
A neighbour of mine gave me her(what she called) hamster. If this thing was a hamster it was certainly deformed. It looked just like a hamster in every feature though it's legs were like Pic related. anyways
>Be about 11-12
>Neighbour gives me hamster to look after because her mom was "being bitch"
>2 or 3 months go by and it dies.
>She's pretty sad about it and all
I don't think I really cared that much. Maybe just that he's gone
>She buries him out side in the yard
It's a shared yard because i live in a complex or whatever
>My mate T shows up next day
Same older guy I told you about in the past story.
>He convinces me we should try 'cremate' the dead hamster
>We dig up the poor hamster and place it in a toilet roll
>Salute.png
>light up the toilet roll and wait for like ages
>After like an hour effort to try and cremate this think alls we've managed to do is burn it's skin off
>yellow shit was oozing out of god knows where.
>Eventually left with this hairless burnt corpse covered in yellow goo. truly an unpleasant sight
>We proceed to place it in a container and present this abortion of a corpse to the owner(we knew what we were doing)
>She freaks out, screams at us and tells us to take it away.
>We were laughing through the whole incident
>We obliged her and returned the poor hamster back into its grave and reburied it
I know alot of people have tortured and killed animals but i don't think anyone has desecrated it corpse and grave.
Looking back I still think it was alil hilarious showing her our work.

I know /g/ isn't my personal tech squad, but I never been in /an/ before so forgive me if this is frowned upon.
However, I got a stinker that made a home in my smoker, I don't know much about birds, and Google image search doesn't do much for me.
Is this bird easily identifiable for anyone, if so what species is it?
Thanks in advance.
Where do you live?
>>2361520
Don't worry, though it may be to the dismay of some people, "I found an animal, please identify it from this blurry picture I took on my camera" are a staple on this board. I honestly don't know why there isn't a general for it.
If you want a better chance of somebody identifying it your best option is to give a location, an approximate size and a few pictures from different angles to show any defining features that might help.
I'm no expert on birds, especially American ones but it might be a Chimney Swift.
It looks kind of like a Bewick's wren from what I can see
Is there a theoretical model for a species to fill all possible niches in its environment
my initial thought are it would have to be inherently cannibalistic, have a high reproductive rate, and a high tendency to be territorial
>>2361483
Marsupials you dumbshit. They permeated every niche, including flying fucking marsupial squirrels, and marsupial tigers.

I have a business idea I wanted to run by you guys.
I collect and pin insects, but I'm still pretty new at it.
I live in Utah, and the Mormons celebrate a thing called The Coming of the Gulls, which is when seagulls came and ate up a plague of locusts. It's a big deal to them and part of Utah history, and proof that god loves the Mormons.
I was thinking I could mount and frame Mormon crickets (actually a shieldback katydid) with maybe maps of Utah behind it, or a picture of the temple or whatever. Then sell it to Mormons to put next to their picture of Jesus.
But where the hell do I get a supply of shieldback katydids?
Mormon cricket. Surprising range in color phases.
My cat is sneezing blood what do I do. She was treated with Frontline for obsessive scratching two days ago, she's still scratching a lot though. She hasn't done this the other two times she's had Frontline. There's a lot of blood on her nose too.
Picture of cat.

Come at me
Hi /an/. I got my ratties last July from a breeder. When they were maybe three months old one started making an odd noise but I googled it and someone said it was normal. This past week the noise has gotten louder, which is worrying me. I looked it up, and found out it may be an upper respiratory infection. I'm really scared, I'm in an awful financial situation right now, I can't afford to bring her to a vet. If I really have to, I'll go donate plasma to afford the vet bills. I just don't know if the noise IS an upper respiratory issue.
Does anyone have experience with this? Is there anything I can do to try and cure it without going to a vet? Thank you :(
It probably is. can you record the noise? Did you check it on the rat health guide site?
If it is a clicking noise it is a serious infection.
I keep hearing small amounts of dark chocolate helps with respiratory difficulties in rats.
I forgot to ask, what bedding do you use? Pine shavings irritate rat lungs.
Is it ok to kill a dog if you own it? This trash dog just killed my prized $1k persian cat i've had for 10 years.
No. Also you're a shit owner for leaving your cat and dog together unsupervised.

dont bother having fucking animals if you can't even care for them.
>>2360794
Are you retarded? Is OP supposed to know his/her dog was gonna kill their fucking cat and have to watch it 24/7? I live with 4 dogs and 6 cats, (8/10 of those animals belonged to and were taken in without our consent by my Mom before she abandoned our family) 3 of the dogs are complete monumental fucking assholes, one has bit me multiple time and we just couldn't get rid of it because my useless mother cared more about the dog then her son's safety, but even still none of my dogs have ever hurt our cats beyond a strong nip that hurt the cat for a while, for OP to somehow anticipate his dog singlehandedly chasing down and killing his agile cat over the course of what I assume is a week or so (As it sounds like Op's cat is new) is just fucking stupid. I hate people like you who think animals can never do wrong and anything they do is always the owners fault.
help me lure her in
