My cat is dying. I spent an hour petting her, but she wouldn't even purr or close her eyes, so I decided to leave her alone for now. Is this the right choice?
And yes, she is 100% dying. She's 17. I don't want to talk anymore about this. Thank you.
>Is this the right choice?
Entirely on you as a owner. You know the situation better than any of us. It's not like she can decide for herself.
> I don't want to talk anymore about this.
Then contact some friends or people who care about you so you have a shoulder to cry on. Had to put my cat down last summer. She was my best and most loyal friend. She helped me get through the deaths of my parents, deaths of my siblings, and the depression that follows a lifetime worth of loss. They put her down in my arms and I cried as hard for her as I did for any family I lost. For me, with her death, I lost all interest in cats. I'll never have another one. I never liked them to begin with but she was an extremely special specimen. Now my friends ask me why I shit on cats so much when I used to have one, the truth is no cat can compare to her memory. Never cared so much for an animal in my life. I hope you handle this to the best of your ability.
well why did you post if you don't want to discuss?

I need to know what to do, but I don't want to be pestered about how I know she's dying.
Is there a single dog breed that even comes close to being as elegant and perfect as the Italian greyhound?
I can wait...
Hello?
>>2471952
You said you can wait.
Also, original greyhound.
They are anything but elegant. Greyhounds and borzois are far superior.
I know this is a really weird question to ask but here goes:
Does anyone manufacture fake buttcheeks for dogs? I like to be able to hear all of my dogs' farts and I think buttcheeks would help to make them more audible. Thanks in advance!
>>2471915
I know it's fucked up sounding, but I'm serious. Only sometimes do I hear them fart. I want to hear all of them.

Over the course of the past month I have mastered the art of catching house flies alive. I grab the little fuckers by their wings, take them out to a bush on the outer edge of my garden. This particular bush is home to several dozen agelenid spiderlings. I toss the crippled flies into the spider webs, and the spiders promptly start eating their meal. I feel a little bit like a serial killer, but there's something very satisfying about seeing a baby spider merrily chowing down on a fly that I caught for it.
Take that, you little buzzing faggot.

What is your secret? I'd like to torture those little fuckers instead of giving them a quick death via fly swatter.

Hello /an/. I've had a Leapord Gecko for about 10 years now and she's very, very old and weak. Now she won't eat even when hand-fed and she's basically a walking skeleton (it's very sad). I'm going to put her down because at this point she's just going to starve to death and I would prefer for that not to happen. What methods would you recommend for this? The one I'm likely going with is fridge-->freezer but I'm not entirely sure about how long she should be in there for. I'm also considering putting her in a jar with a rubbing alcohol-soaked paper towel, but I'd prefer the fridge and freezer way.
>>2471565
Take it to a vet to do that
Vet. It shouldn't be expensive.
Fridge then freezer is not painless (yes even if making it gradual by doing fridge first). Do not attempt that alcohol idea, gecko will be conscious for some time in that.
Euthanizing lizards quickly in a non-messy way is dicey as they are quite resistant/hold out much longer to methods that work very quickly on equivalent sized mammals (like hypoxia).

Could always just cut the head off. Quick and clean painwise and not pay an overpriced vet that jacks the price up for killing your animal.
What are traits of an alpha male H. sapien, /an/?
Pic somewhat related for fags who will say there are no alphas.
PhD in math
>>2471481
there are no alphas since humans don't have a distinct social hierarchy system that would be considered as such. Humans are socially flexible, and thus saying that 'alpha males' exist is universally wrong for different types of people. Only the narcissistic muricans say this shit.

Hey everyone, let's predict what kind of response this post will receive from any resident /pol/fags.
General animal shelter related discussions, and gud dogs from the pound.
She was only 25 bucks
IMO it's extremely hard if not impossible to get the connection to an animal you've raised from birth with adopted companions.
Totality line with the dog.

Really?
http://www.danceswithwolvesranch.com/pricing-2/
>implying they're gonna meet those sales before they grow out of being puppies
>not having a waiting list before even breeding them
You could haggle that down to 500 bucks, which is what a dog will sell for when its no longer an adorable impulse buy puppy
>>2471476
I won't just imply that they meet those sales, I'll state it outright.

don't be so sure

But then I suppose all this is what I should expect from a possessor of decidedly lesser strains of dog.
If you can even call them that
wolfboos are probably the second most annoying dog owners after shitbull heads
Hi guys, this is junior, no one knows his real age but he has less than 3 years, he was found like a year ago on the street by my brother's girlfriend
The little fella was attacked by another dog and almost killed him bitting his head, aaand was knocked by a car (at leat not run over by it).
After lots of recovery time an care, he is now living with me because the girl dont have a permanent home as she is travelling a lot. So im taking care of him.
This fella is the most loving piece of fur ive ever meet, he just wants to be hugged and patted, and cries a lot when someone leaves the house.
He even made friends with Luna, my 5 years poddle and is like an annoying littke brother to her
He likes to chill and wave his tail
Luna at least tolerates him
They are both lively and happy
So my cats favorite thing in the world is ranch dressing, to the point where I give him a little ranch rather than cat treats and on special occasions I'll pour some over his food. But lately I've noticed he's gotten pretty fat. Was it a bad idea to give him ranch?
>>2471382
Who cares? It's just a cat. It's not like it's a real pet or anything.

Then stop feeding your stupid cat concentrated fat that it'd didn't evolve to process

I got this lil guy about a month ago. He doesnt really play around his cage all that much. As you can see, I have several toys and a soft wood chewing log in his cage, but for the most part he just sits on one of the perches (the one he's on in pic is his favorite) and doesn't explore too much.
I've taught him to step up onto my finger, but it takes a couple attempts before he stays on for more than 15 seconds. In the last few days I've brought him out of his cage and into the living room. It takes like 5 minutes before I can get him out of the cage, and he's super cautious with everything. His first few flights have resulted in some less than graceful landings and bumps off the walls, but we're getting there.
Finally, his vocalizations are almost exclusively loud chirps. He doesnt really do that cute little chattering that you see in YouTube videos and stuff. It's all just sharp, shrill chirps. He does it for like 2 minutes straight then stops completely. Hes never in distress or anything during the chirps, just chilling on his branch. Im wondering if hes bored? I'm not sure whether to ignore it so he stops, or respond so he knows I'm safe. I interact with him a lot throughout the day, including practicing stepping up and letting him out of the cage. So I'm not sure what the chirps are signifying (if anything).
What do you guys think? Is this behavior normal? How can I encourage him to explore his cage a little more and play? And why are all of his chirps really loud and shrill, and not that garbled and bubbly chatter a lot of other parakeets do?
How is your bird doing? I'd love to see your guys' birds and cage set ups!
He's lonely. He's flock calling to try to find more budgies. Try playing happy budgie sounds and see how he reacts. I have three birds and my third bird (Foie Gras) is very timid. As long as my other two birds are with me she is willing to stay on me and preen me or herself. She is the green girle
>>2471345
He's very lonely. Get him a fucking mirror. Of course actual company is better. Budgies can die from loneliness eventually.
>>2471345
Also, can you post a more up close shot? Dude looks like a lady.
What was their endgame /an/? Why have they not learned to use spears?
>>2471070
Why would they need to?
>>2471071
To crush your enemies. See them driven before you. And to hear the lamentations of their women.
