What is this? Should I be worried?
Burn your house down while you stil can
Wow thats a bad one this is much better to look at please look here.
Hit it with a book. Problem solved, dirt gone.
Dogs are an obvious one as they have been bred and evolved specifically to be human companions but what are some other perhaps lesser known animals that are well suited as pets? What I mean by this is that they are comfortable and happy living in a home for, whether it be in a tank or other.

Rats, people view them as destructive pests because of wild rats, but they're incredibly social and adaptable.
Pretty much all of the long-domesticated species do well in captivity (being bred for the purpose helps) and range from relativity common to somewhat uncommon but not unheard of in the household. Cattle, horses and yaks are too big for most yards unless you have some spare acres for them to pasture at. Goats, sheep, pigs etc. have been kept at low density in small plots for many thousands of years (check your local ordinances though). Bees are a good choice if you like honey. Most of the domestic birds can readily take to a household setting provided you're willing to deal with the shit, even waterfowl (which do not require a backyard pond though they like it). The mink and the ferret are both kept with great success in captivity. The hedgehog, the fancy rodents, and the rabbit are all common in the household. There are small donkey breeds kept as backyard pets in acre or so plots.
No matter how much it triggers your typical dog/catfag that people just aren't buying dogs or cats as much these days, there are a lot of species that humans keep as pets in this era. So there's a lot of support floating out there if you want to branch out of the typical.
I haven't seen a terrarium/vivarium/paludarium thread in some time

clearly a brown recluse
how bad is it for a dog to live with no eyes? not just blind but no eyes at all.
shes only 4 years old, still acts like a puppy so energetic, not like my older dogs that went mostly blind but could still see shapes and spent most of the day relaxing.
is it considered bad to put her down because of it? i feel so sad thinking of this lively energetic pup not able to see.
anyone have fully blind dog?
teach it to echolocate

Dogs adapt really well to problems like that.

even without kids and trips? we live in the city, no vehicle, and her biggest issue is that even with her eyes she cannot have fun wtihout interaction. If I'm not home or not playing wtih her, she is simply laying down. i tried getting toys and puzzle toys and toys that move on their own but she doesn't know how to play unless im playing with her, and i worry that being blind will worsen this.
im just so scared and sad.
Literals retard here.
Are eggs/egg yolks dead chicks? Am i eating the remnants of a dead chick? And how do chicken breeders know which eggs have chicks in them and which dont.
>>2378930
An egg is a hen's period.
It only has a chick fetus in it if the egg was fertilized, which doesn't typically happen in commercial farm environments.
>>2378930
No because you most likely only eat unfertilized eggs. Pic related can be the sign of a fertilized one, but it doesn't have to be. Among older chickens, it's possible that some tissue gets encased in the egg during development and also cause that look.
When you take a lamp and shine through the egg you should be able to spot a dot that shows you it's fertilized.
The small white spots are what turn into chicken embryos. Egg yolk is its food source. They wont let roosters near chickens when they want infertile eggs.
Hey /an/ my dog two days ago fought and killed a rat, when I found out about it I noticed he had a wound where the black area is near his nose. Pretty sure I have his vaccines in order but I'm worried wether the wound is healing normally or if it's infected or something. Do I need to take him to the vet?
>>2378792
>I'm worried about my dog so I'm going to ask people on a Burmese karaoke imageboard what they think of this one single picture instead of taking him to the fucking vet
>>2378803
>I'm gonna take him to a vet over something that the vet might even laugh in my face about after having to drive 45m and pay for an appointment that I possibly don't have to.
Not to mention he hates being in a car and I don't want him to destroy the the car inside out
Thanks for the input anon
>>2378808
>gets a pet
>won't even take it to the vet when it gets bitten by a rat who's quite possibly carrying all sorts of diseases
>acts surprised when anons tell him to fuck off
hmm
Does anyone know what this thing is?
It kept flying into me in the dark, then I tried crushing it and it ran across my bed fast as fuck, took about 5 different attempts at crushing it to actually cause immobilization and as it was dying its arms and head started twitching insanely fast
Another pic
looks like a Loxosceles reclusa.

dude im pretty sure thats just a cockroach
So my mom lives with my 4 siblinga in a small apartment. They are not allowed to have dogs and even though my mom has gotten eviction warnings she still hasn't gotten rid of the dog. I do not want my crazy mom or siblings to get evicted and have decided I need to get rid of the dog but it has a microchip. I'm thinking of taking it and leaving it in a forest somewhere if my mom doesn't come to her senses. What should I do?
drive across the state line with it then give it to a shelter there, claiming you found it
Wrap it in aluminum foil so it can't be scanned.
Don't leave it in a forest you lunatic.
Find someone sympathetic, I'm sure you can find one.
What the fuck is that
obligatory brown recluse post, now you might get a real answer with that out of the way

A reclusive brown
>>2378559
It's not a bedbug or any kind of louse. Kill it and check the surrounding area for more. If there are none then forget the whole thing happened
Could anyone help me discover the breed of this dog?
Its 1 month old, weights around 5-10 kg and seems like a mixed race, i am also from Mexico if that is of any help. Thank you
Some sort of pit mix. I can't tell till they're adults but the prominent features say bully breed is in it.
Yes, it's a QT

Have you booped its snoot, yet?
This walrus showed up at our campsite. My sister wants to take it home & keep it and our parents are going to let her.
How do you take care of a walrus??
This is a fun bait
>>2378391
Take the walrus. Leave the hambeast sister.
I would take the hypothetical walrus calf to a proper wildlife rehabilitation center and avoid violating the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972.
Was dicking around at Walmart and saw these weird really long fish in the tank. They didn't have an identification tag anywhere. Sorry for the sideways photo.
Anyone know what this thing is? It had a sort of u-shaped mouth.
Another pic.
>>2378384
Gobioides broussonnetii, I can't remember if the common name is violet goby or dragon goby.
Is a brackish water fish, they don't tend to do well in freshwater long tern.
dog has a serious eye ulcer
vet says she should see an eye doc specialist but we can basically either pay 500 to remove the eye or 2000 to sew her eyeball back up with some patch. not sure on the success rate. anyone have stories of one or the other? dog with one eye can live happy life?
Remove the eye. Fairly common procedure, the dog will be fine afterwards. Even fully blind dogs can live a mostly normal life.
>>2378359
i remember we had a dog that was fully blind and it lived just fine. i just feel really bad being the guy who lets a dog lose an eye to save money. but i dont even have the money to spend on it. i could maybe put down 1000 but my dad just had two strokes and mom lost her job so im not getting help from them.

Expensive option *might* fix the problem. Cheap option will definitely fix the problem.
