man that shit kawaii
how emotionally advanced are dogs?
can they feel complex emotions like guilt/shame or jealousy?
Guilt/shame? No.
Jealousy? Debatable, but potentially.
I think they can know they did something they weren't suppose too.
Maybe jealousy, not sure. One dog seeing me give attention to the other will prompt said dog to try and get to me. Push the other out of the way. I don't think that counts as jealous as much as it is "hey he's petting us and I want to get pet too".
Firm believer dogs know they did something wrong though. Our recently past dog was famous for knocking over the trash can. We could watch her without her knowing as soon as she heard a door open or someone's voice, she'd haul ass real low and tail between her legs. Whether or not we could fronted her, we would know she was even just sniffing the trash because she would act very submissive and roll over, try to act all happy and cute.
There you go

I've released it almost 120 miles from my house and its back to bug me.
>>2395116
Owl take it off your hands. Not really though lol
>>2395116
Where I live, that's illegal as all fuck, due to owls being migratory here.
I'm sure it is, but my only other option is to put it in the ground.... It runs off with almost one of my flock each day.
Have you emotionally abused your animal today, /an/?
Why would I do that? I'm not a psychotic with inferiority issues.
Yes. There are few things that destress and amuse as much as bullying birds.
>>2392079
Yes, I sprayed a bit of water on my dog.
What's the largest (by weight) animal you think you could fight and win in hand to claw combat?
>hardmode: you must fight the animal in it's natural habitat
>>2384114
a mosquito

You

Define winning. Do I need to restrain it and kill it, or do I just intimidate it into running the fuck away?
There was one dude who kicked in the head and then death choked a Puma then roared at it and it fucked off, for example. He didn't do any damage to it, but he "won".
Post animals based on your country and a little video about them if you want to
Norwegian lemming.
The most pissed of rodent I have ever seen. It's impossible to walk past one without them squeaking at you.

The California king snake is a badass. I enjoy seeing them sunning themselves on trails, knowing that they're killing rattlesnakes and making my hike safer.

Should New Zealand and Australia ban pet cats to save native wildlife?
They could, but at this point it wouldn't do any good. They're too well established, and people wouldn't give up their cats.
>>2394412
Honestly, every feral cat and dog should be killed or rehomed and every cat and dog should be required by law to be neutered. But this wouldn't go down well with white trash and BYBs, so it's literally never going to happen anywhere.
Ban pet cats as a whole, or at least have them require a license. Almost every cat owner is a shithead who either lets them roam outdoors to continue destroying the environment or are shitty owners who don't know how to properly take care of them.
I can't think of a domesticated pet that is more harmful to the ecosystem than cats.
Thoughts on the Irish Wolfhound?
They're pretty fucking based.
>>2394207
I don't have much to say, but Irish Wolfhounds are pretty fucking based
>>2394207
pretty sure that's a dire wolf, OP
Quite possibly the coolest and most badass dog breed.
You can keep your meme Tibetan Mastiffs and Ovcharkas and Dogo Argentinos, they look like shit compared to this majestic, ancient breed.
EMERGENCY!
My dog ate a whole egg McMuffin that I left on the counter when I went outside for a bit, and some paper warping.
Is doggo kill?
>>2394151
He'll be fine.
Bad doggo but wil not die
He'll be fine, but at his next feeding you need to eat all of his dog food in front of him so he understands the consequences of eating your food.
Bunnies confirmed most important
>GF wants a "chill pet"
>tell her to get a pair of lab rats
>"Eww, no Anon."
>she gets bunny
>see her laying on the floor playing with bun
>she sneezes
>bun darts across room
>bun slams into wall
>neck broken
>she's all sad and shit
>later find out that she's getting another one
How do I put an end to this?
Saw this bun at a pet store when I was picking up dog food.
>>2394058
I do wish people would drop the whole "ew rats, gross" thing and give them fair consideration. They are one of the best small pets out there, and considerably more engaging then things like hamsters or gerbils (that said I love gerbils, but they are thick as fuck).
They do however only live two or three years, assuming they don't develop cancer, have a stroke, or die from a respiratory infection.
I'm retarded and don't know what kind of cat this is. My mother said it's a "domestic short haired orange" but that seems kind of vague.
I took some other pictures
