Is there a species of firefly that looks like burning ash? I've been googling for awhile now and not seeing anything resembling what I saw last night.
I was on my way back from the store through the woods in the almost pitch black when I saw what looked exactly like falling ash.
Not sure why it's bugging me so much to know what that was. There definitely wasn't anyone smoking there so it had to be a bug of some sort.

I can't stress enough how important it is to follow op's advice. My mother killed her two red eared slider turtles because she thought keeping them outside in direct sun was good for them. Because "I thought turtles were cold blooded". Please don't buy any animal unless you are fully aware of how to care for them. I warned her three times. And she just told me the same shit about how turtles live outside, I told her that her tank was not a fucking pond, but she didn't listen.
