north is nice, it's mosquitoes only and they are all in the forest. Well, ticks also but they cant do much against a pair of rubber boots. Although bogs is another story, there are swarms upon swarms of flying fucking piranhas here and I'm not even sure who they are, flies or also mosquitoes, but it's a horrible experience to try and go here without any repellents. Or, if the reason is cranberry, and you are most positive nobody comes to your place you can just go gather it early in the spring.

it's kinda a matter of how long you stay in the water though. Every hour spent in the ocean increases your chance of getting eaten. You're still thousands of times more likely to drown than get eaten by a shark though.

Indoor growing = Pot, dirt, seeds, move plant outside during the day. Your blue spectrum isn't going to do shit for the plant either, it could take 20 days to germinate and another 120 to grow anything.

its winter in oz, its about 8 degrees indoors. The seedlings are sitting on heat mats for germinating, the light is for heat + moisture and the already just germinated Drosera admirabilis seedlings in the pot next door. But this is the first time ive run the light and the mats before, the mats are on a temperature controlled socket but the lights are just on a timer now.

Bigger plants will go to the greenhouse outside which should be getting nice and toasty by the time these guys start doing things

Do you have a background in biology? That would really help. If you're into birds I suggest that you get some bird ID, set up a feeder and do some bird watching. I think the best way to introduce someone to animals and nature is to go on a hands on approach.
