Firstly, do doggles work and secondly could anyone recommend a good pair.
Work for what? I know someone who uses them for their dog who's eyes are sensitive to light
>>2437200
>Firstly, do doggles work
why are you a special forces operator doing HALO jumps out of aircraft with you dog?
>>2437200
I kind of want a pair just so I can force my dog to cosplay as Dogmeat.
But I have no recommendations, sorry.
Im tired of that ugly anon posting his stupid bait threads. Post comfy pups
I really wants a Border Collie but I live in a small apartment. I've read that you can make it work as long as you take it out like 3 hours a day which sounds kinda crazy.
I'm willing to take it out one hour a day to play fetch, plus more during weekends and even agility classes once a week. Also as long as I'm home with nothing to do I'm willing to play with it, train it, etc.
My apartment is really small so there's really no place for the dog to run in here when it's older, but also I would be moving in 1 year and try to get a bigger place.
What are your experiences with this kind of thing?
>>2436883
Don't. Your dog will be bored and frustrated, and will take it out on anything he sees fit to play with; your furniture, clothing, apartment in general, and will be an aggravated dog with a not-so-nice temperament. It's just not very nice for the dog. He'll be unhappy.
>>2436883
>I read I can kind of make it work if you take it out 3 hours a day
>I'm willing to take it out one hour a day
>Will it work?
You answered your own question.
>>2436911
Well, I've also read people saying a dog gets used to let it get used to.
This is a bacteriophage T2. It looks rad as hell.
>>2436524
Post viruses OP.
>>2436524
That's actually a brown recluse
Yes, but does it have an immune system?
Why does my Vet suggest neutering my dog and give me a dirty look every time I say I wont do it.
I understand that an intact male dog can be problematic and it suppose to have health benefits.
But my dog is well fenced in so there no chance of him impregnating any local dogs and he is not aggressive or has any tendency to hump things.
I have no interest in breeding dogs either.
I don't see the point of neutering him since there is no need and I believe it makes dogs fat. I have done it to my other dogs and always regretted it, even though they got lots of exercise and I dieted them they were still a bit chubby for my taste.
I am not against neutering/spaying, I had all my cats fixed to prevent them spraying in my home.
>>2436051
Get your dog neutered you degenerate hippie
>>2436051
you're probably imagining it. People who don't fix their dogs get a victim complex when they think they are in a pro neuter area like a vet's office or an animal shelter.
>>2436054
No being anti-vax should be illegal.
>>2436056
Once or twice maybe but there is four vets at the clinic and they all know me yet still suggest it.
favorite Pleistocene megafauna before we killed them all?
I've always loved Megatherium, the giant ground sloth.
>>2435517
Also: if you could bring any of the species back (so it would be like they never disappeared again), would you? which ones?
Forgot the name but I've become really fond of those knuckle walking ungulates with long necks.
Probably because we don't have anything like that today besides apes and anteaters. They were very bizarre.
And giant sloths. I know there was smaller ones but megatherium was fucking huge.

Give me definitive proof that humans caused the last great extinction.
She won't budge from the goddamned passenger seat. She just sits there and growls at me. At some point she's going to piss in the car. How the hell do I get her out before then?
>chihuahua
Are.... are you back, chihuahua-anon?
She just bites and snaps at me when I approach her. I tried luring her out with food and have had no luck. It's hot out today and I can't leave her in the car and I'm not going to waste gas keeping the AC on in my car indefinitely. So, how do I safely get her out?
>>2435369
It's a fucking chihuahua just pick her up and take her inside
It's not like she can draw blood you pussy

Fish owners, I have a question: What fish live a long time? Would they have feelings for me? Would they love me? Would they understand me? Can they sense things that I can't? Can they protect me somehow?
In general, can you tell me about them? I'm considering buying an aquarium of fish friends because I'm very little lonely and want some company.
>>2431298
Very lonely rather, idk why I said 'little'
>>2431298
A lot of fish live about 10 years from research I did, so yeah. What size tank you willing to get, OP?
>>2431298
>What fish live a long time?
most medium-large predators including goldfish and lots of various cichlids
>Would they have feelings for me?
fish probably don't have feelings
>Would they love me?
>Would they understand me?
humans don't even understand you, fish have no chance
>Can they sense things that I can't?
yes, they can sense vibrations and electrical currents in the water you can't detect
>Can they protect me somehow?
they can be thrown at intruders. In a house fire it may be helpful to rub yourself with a wet fish prior to making your escape. In the event of nuclear war there's no safer place to be than hiding under a fish tank.
>In general, can you tell me about them?
they'll gather at the front of the tank when they see you because they learn who feeds them. Other than that they're colorful and active little potatoes.
>I'm considering buying an aquarium of fish friends because I'm very little lonely and want some company.
what an odd solution to your problem.

Reptile classifieds for finding breeders of various scaled and sundry creatures
>kingsnake.com
>faunaclassifieds.com
>reptilescanada.com (Canadian breeders)
>Also check to see if there are any annual reptile shows/expos in your area as these are good places to find good animals from good breeders at partial discount
/herp/ officially official all purpose care sheet of wonder and magic
>sand a shit
>use a thermostat
>read all the caresheets
>set up your tank before you get your herp
>regulate temps & humidity levels prior to herp arrival
>do not fuck with (handle) your herp for at least 7 days after bringing it home and ideally wait until herp has eaten at least one meal (for snakes), two meals for lizards, frogs, etc.
>PVC tanks are way better for most applications and worth the extra money
>it is best to avoid chain pet stores when looking to purchase live animals as mass breeder suppliers are not especially careful about health and sound genetics... it often saves you money long term to spend a little extra up front to get a healthy animal
>Jump Start (formerly Hydrofarm) thermostat is a good basic and inexpensive thermostat for regulating ceramic heat emitters and under tank heaters (Amazon sells it)
>if you want something more advanced for temperature control, look at Herpstat products
