>neighbor is a dumb cunt straight off the boat from the Philippines that married this black ghetto dude for citizenship
>have 3 stupid kids
>forward 5 years, marriage is failing so they buy a dog (schipperke-pit mix)
>forward 2 years, the dude takes off. She now has the dog tied up in the sunroom and never walks it, bathes it, pays it any attention, or cleans the shit out of the room. She hits it when it won't stop barking literally every day
>I call animal protective services dozens of times and she always weasels out of it even though the dog is absolutely disgusting
>forward 2 years, the dog is absolutely insane and hostile now. It gets out and kills two dogs and attacks their owner outside. The police come and shoot it, the owner lost some fingers
>she gets in no trouble
>a few months later she can't afford the mortgage and the house is foreclosed on eventually
>they have to tear it down (built in the late 90s) because there is dog piss and shit literally leaked into the house foundation, walls, and floors
She should get the fucking death penalty

Heard this one from a herp vet.

>Vegan cunt thinks sneak cool
>Get snek
>Feeds it tofu because it's obviously cruel and inhumane to feed your snake rats or other small animals to keep it healthy
>Snake gets sick and keeps losing weight
>She goes to the vet
>Learns that it can't survive on tofu
>She just leaves the snake there and doesn't give a shit if it dies or lives
>>
>>2432310

why would you get a snake but feel compelled to feed it shit it can't live off of
where the fuck is the logic? did she think she could convert it to veganism?

It's time for me to ask for repentance

>be the 14 yo dipshit I was
>aunt's family gets a dogo argentino puppy
>the only one in the family who wanted it was my aunt's son who picked up the dog and he kinda wanted to get rid of it too
>we went over one day and me, being the kid I was, started cooing over it
>dad fucking decides the next day to take the dog off my aunt's hands and bring it home because I liked playing with it
>I got a pet now I guess lol
>too bad we don't have any fucking outdoor space for the dog and confine him to the garage and a narrow walkway leading into the garage
>all we really know how to do is feed him and clean up his shit
>we tried to train him to not shit in the garage where he sleeps but he never figured it out
>I'm at school and parents work so he is alone a lot
>bit us and fucked up a lot of our shit
>I'd hit him when he would act out sometimes (I'm so sorry I regret it a lot now)
>aunt didn't want the dogo back so we kept it for 6 months
> dogo ended up becoming a big, muscular, kinda aggressive fuck. Strong enough to pull my dad around when he would walk it.
>we eventually find a family willing to take the dog
>they ask us if we want to take him back after a few weeks because he is aggressive
>say sorry no lol
>don't know what became of him after that

I'm sorry Max. You deserved so much better and I hope you are ok.

why aren't these more popular as pets?
I get that they have a pretty short lifespan but aside from that i don't see anything wrong with them

People like pets they can actually pet.

triops are more like living decorations. In the same class as tomatoes and reef tanks. Except not as tasty/pretty.

The only time I have ever seen these or seamonkeys for sale have been at garage sales and fleamarkets. I am completely sure the last ones I bought 15 years ago where at the minimum of 20 years old when I bought them since the shop I bought them from had been opened since the 40s.

They still hatched.

Had a bunch as a kid from a kit I got at Toys R Us. Pretty neat. My dad called them my "dinosaurs"

Had a pretty shitty experience adopting a kitten today...

My wife and I have talked about getting another cat for awhile and ran across a rescue group in a tractor supply with kittens. After much consternation we chose an adorable tuxedo kitten and brought him home. He looked extremely healthy until shortly after we got home when his eyes began to weep. Fast forward 2 hours and we are going to a vet because one of his eyes is swollen shut. Vet says its X, Y, or Z. I paid for medication to treat him and the visit. Made the difficult decision to call the rescue group and let them know that I need to return him because im worried about getting my cat sick. They accept and I drive an hour to return him. I didnt accept any refund.

Am I a terrible person? I feel guilty as shit. What could I have done differently?

It's OK OP. You could have kept him and quarantined him in the bathroom or something I guess. Hopefully his condition clears up, you might be able to get him back afterwards. It sounds like he probably had an infection before you brought him home.

Don't feel too bad, you can go rescue another one.
>>
Maybe.
Whatever it is, it was probably a respiratory infection and could easily be treated. Secondly, your other cat probably has already been exposed to it.

I think you're weird and just wasted money over nothing. The worst case scenario of introducing ANY new cat is shit like feLV, not the sniffles.

So long story short I got roaches from a dirty ass family that moved in downstairs. They finally got kicked out due to several reasons but we still got roaches. Problem is I have a hedgehog and the roaches love being in his cage cause of all the bedding and the open food and water. I need a safe way to make sure they don't get into his cage so no sprays or dust. I was thinking about like a line of duct tape around his cage so they get stuck on the tape when trying to climb in and maybe some glue traps. Also if anyone has ideas for some way to have the food and water contained but still accessible that'd be great. Kinda like a feeder of some sorts that he can easily access, I've tried making some but they dont work.
I'm working on the rest of the house, I just don't want them in his cage while I do the rest of the house. The landlord called an exterminator but that guy was fucking useless

Pic related is my hedgehog, the previous owner named him Red

TL;DR don't be a lazy cunt just read

Hello /an/, I come to you from /tg/ in seek of your aid. I need to know what, if any, are the species of the most social snakes. As far as I know, only american garter snakes gather together in large numbers. In order to survive winter hibernation. And then to make mating in the spring easier.

But are they the only ones? Isn't there at least one species of snake that guards it's nest until the eggs hatch, like the serpentine equivalent of a crocodile or alligator?

I need this info because I am trying to flesh out the multiple strains of lycanthropy as part of my worldbuilding. And the more social the creature that you shapeshift into, the greater the chances of infection from scratches/bites. For instance, the strains of African and Asian lion are much more contagious than the strain of American mountain lion. Because African and Asian lions are social, and have a family unit, while mountain lions are solitary.

Help me out /an/ons, please. I really want an excuse for snake lycanthropes to be almost as common as wolf, coyote, rat, dog, Asian and African lion lycanthropes. Scale butts are just too cool/cute to be left out.

>>
Lycanthrope literally means wolfman.
>>
All snakes that aren't live bearers coil ontop of their eggs to properly incubate them until they are hatched as far as I know, that is of course the females do.
Snakes in general aren't really social animals but Ive come across small pockets of same species in the wild most of them being garter snakes as you mentioned but I also came across a small piece of a canal where there were 3 or 4 water snakes two or three times.
>>
>>2443048
Yes, I know. Lycan = wolf and Thrope = man

But if you are working off of the logic that lycanthropy is a magical virus, like a form of super HIV, then it makes sense that there would be multiple strains of it. So wolfman, catman, ratman, snakeman, birdman, etc.

>>2443050
I didn't know that all species of snakes that lay eggs incubate them. I was under the impression that they laid their eggs and then left the nest. Thanks for this useful bit of info, it's opened up a lot of possibilities for me. Within the pre-established logic of my worldbuilding that is. I hate when I have to break my own rules.
