well, it's extremely competitive for one. if you get any Cs on your transcript you're pretty screwed, you need a shit ton of hours of work in a clinical setting working directly with animals to even have your application considered, and at least one recommendation from a vet. just for perspective, each year the school I was considering gets 500+ applicants. they only accept 50.
>source: was going to go to vet school until I realized animal behavior was way more interesting funny thing, vets get very little to no education on ethology. you'd have to get a separate degree to become an animal behaviorist, which is my goal. weird how they separate it like that
