Should I forgive my friend

So, I have a friend who ended up fucking me over, stole my rent money, car battery, jacked my stereo, firearm and then took off.

Now, I'm not saying he didn't get his, I'd say we broke fairly even after it was all said and done, with me wanting a little more, but never pursuing it as far as I could've.

Well, he was under the influence of a meth whore, and he's always struggled with drugs, but I've tried to always be a positive influence.

He came by and apologized, and wanted to be friends again, but I wasn't ready to accept it at the time, but now that I think about it, I'm better off now than I was when I had everything I owned taken from me, and he dropped that crazy bitch and actually has a job now..

Should I give him another shot, or continue living my good life with out him?

He's pulled shit like this before on other people he was close to, where he faked being clean or something along those lines for another attempt at getting something he wants, but to me he was always just a good friend.
