I have wax blocking my ear canal and its annoying as hell. I tried ear cleaner and hydrogen peroxide several times to clean it out and nothing is helping. I know you aren't supposed to use a qtip but I've managed to get some wax with it. However it hasn't unblocked my ear and I'm afraid to puncture my eardrum if I continue.

What should I do?

Keep flooding it with warm water, as hot as you can stand having in your ear. It will soften it and the q tip will gradually remove it layer by layer.
>>
At this point you should visit an ENT doctor to have it examined and cleaned. From that point forward, make sure you generously flush your ear canal with warm shower water to promote the natural outward flow of wax. You should only be using a swab to collect the wax which has worked its way to the outer ear.
>>
An ear-nose-throat doctor can easily clear it up if you wanna drop some cash on fixing up your ears.

Otherwise just do >>16799577

never use a qtip. those things are meme as fuck. they just push shit deeper in.

your ears are self-cleaning. like, 90% of the population will never have to clean their ears. if you've run into an issue with wax build-up then a saline solution/hydrogen peroxide to loosen the wax. once you let the wax breakdown a bit then take an earpick, not a qtip, to clean it out. have someone else clean it, don't do it yourself.

I had this problem recently. Ears completely blocked by wax. Here's what you do:

-Get one of the things in the picture, meant for cleaning babies' noses
-Get regular hydrogen peroxide from your pharmacy, and mix some in a bowl so you have about 1/3 of it H2O2 and the rest hot water.
-Tilt your head so the ear you want to clean is facing the ceiling. You should probably lean over a sink.
-Suck up some of the H2O2/H2O solution in the thing and squirt it in your ear. It will feel uncomfortable, but you gradually work up until you're squeezing it pretty hard to blast away at the wax. Kind of repeatedly press the bulb to shoot pulses in your ear.
-Lean over and drain your ear.
-Repeat this until chunks of wax fall out.

I did this successfully for one ear (got out pinky-nail sized pieces of wax), but the other ear wouldn't work, so I asked my doctor to do it at a checkup. Just a regular doc can do it. They basically do the same thing, but with a squirt bottle. They got out a dime-sized chunk that I wouldn't think would even fit in my ear if I hadn't seen it fall out. Cost $75 for that crap, though.

If you have some capital buy a waterpik that's what I use when I get plugged
>>
Have this periodically for last 50 years.
Don't use q-tip. Water can get caught behind wax and cause infection. Safe way is slow, but works.
Resting on side, use dropper to fill ear with hydrogen peroxide solution. Can massage outside of ear or push the tragus (the part partially over the canal) to get it inside. Should feel/hear it foaming.
Let it work for about 5 minutes, then sit up. Let it drain while sitting/standing for about 1/2 hour before doing the other ear.
Do this twice a day (more can dry the ear canal). If it doesn't clear within 4 days, see a doctor (although it's never failed me yet).
>>
Go to the doctor OP as simple as that.

Go see a doctor, I have a friend who goes once every six months to clean his ears properly

Light a roman candle in your ear. Flame nearly hits bottom extinguish. Pull the candle out, all the wax goes with it. Fucking shit you not. Just be prepared to throw up at the smell of it.
>pic unrelated
>>
You have to use an actual ear pick. If you are too scared to do it yourself get someone else to do it for you.

A roman candle, as in class C fireworks? There is a technique called candling, but that uses a specialty candle. It can cause serious injury. I'd check out wikipedia ('ear candling') before you try it.
>>
Find an ear nurse specialist near you dude, I go to one every six months to get my ears cleaned it works a lot better than trying to sort shit out yourself or going to a doctor who just puts warm water in your ears to "flush" it out. Also, start putting ear drops (I use Waxol) in your ears morning and night for a couple of days before you go see the nurse just to soften the wax to make things easier.

Also
Never use a q-tip
