Does the average person wonder on a daily/semi-regular basis why anything exists?
I know some people do, obviously, but I've never heard anyone in real life really mention it out loud to the point it feels like taboo. I know it's probably not a productive thing to think about but it's just hard to accept existence of anything and my consciousness of it. It's just weird going to bed at night sometimes.
Maybe experiencing dying once will clear things up a bit.

I doubt daily and I doubt everyone.
Some people are like drones, they don't question the basics they do or why they do them.
Everyone has these thoughts, it's part of life. A lot of people just push them to the side to focus on more immediate issues.

Read the great philosophers or take an Intro To Philosophy course.
That is all that any of them think and write about.

i sometimes think about it and on occasions will speak about it with my main group of friends. though, i haven't heard anyone who i am casual friends with talk about it. so yea, i would say its a taboo. i think more people think about then we realise but most of us are not comfortable talking about it with people we are not close with.
