It's a scam that's been going around for a while. Usually nigerians who catfish on Skype and get guys to jerk off (usually using fake videos to look like the girls on cam) and then film it to extort money. They threaten to release it via Facebook to family and friends.

The girl was clearly fake. All I did was sit in my chair and ask her to hold up two fingers and she never did. the framerate and video quality was total shit so it became obvious that i was being scammed. then she blocked me

Tell him it's likely that the scammer doesn't know his real name and even if he did, he can't post it to people's walls unless they're friends.
So his options are:
a) Take down that post. He's making himself look like a retard and outing himself without the extortionist even needing to post the video. Christ.
b) Tell him to make his Facebook profile private. The guy can't add more of his friends if he doesn't have access to his friend's list.
c) Supposing the worst happens and the guy posts his jackoff video to Facebook. Chances are only a few people will see it before it's reported and removed. Again, there's no reason for EVERYONE to fucking know what he did if that's the case.

Reminds me, my grandma got some call from a guy from company that said they worked for Windows, and they saw how many viruses it had. So the guy offered to clean it. Not entirely sure what happened, but she had to go to some site. Cost $100 or so,
Later when I found out, told her it was a scam and to take her computer in to check for keyloggers or anything. She didn't seem to care about the lost money.
The guy kept calling. Saying Windows needed to get rid of the viruses. She told him she wasn't using the computer and planned on getting a mac. And he still wanted to fix the computer that would eventually be bought and wanted information on when that would happen.

Eventually it sounded like he asked if there was anything he could do for her. She said to destroy her number, and not have it on any lists.
I think police should have been involved. And she should have sued to get the money back but.. She's too nice.

I don't know if some people can really be helped.
