What is the point of living if life is inherently meaningless? Even if one creates a meaning, once one dies that meaning will be gone and won't mean anything anymore. Why bother living?
>>
The impact you have on others' lives and the things you create can live on after you. In many ancient buildings and cathedrals, one can marvel today at the works of create masons and carpenters who have been dead for centuries.

I see your point. But even then you won't be alive to take any pride or notice in the effect your accomplishments will have on the future. And once the universe inevitably dies, nothing will ever remember you or the work you did.
>>
Have you experienced life? Have you done everything worth doing? Have a six pack? Fucked an 50 year old? Seen the Tian Shan? Partied in Moscow?

Didn't think so. There really is no point to life but to challenge your intelligence and experience it

I recommend you read Siddhartha and possibly Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse
>>
There's no point to living if you see life as a means to an end.

Consider the act of living as the end.
>>
meaning is constructed FROM life, not inherent to it

Here is your answer OP
>>
Why does life even need to have point?
I don't think life needs to have point to be valuable
>>
"The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves." - Alan Watts

Of nothing exists in this world but what you make, then make good
>>
/lit/ will have some strong book recommendations as well. Spend time considering the essence of Meaning instead of trying to stare down the Void.
