First thing you do when you wake up is to Study!
>>
>>16753173
Where are you starting from?

I got a 4.0 gpa in college, and the only reason that happened is because me and a buddy named Michael agreed we would push each other every day until it happened. Hell, I'd probably have a 2.0 gpa if it wasn't for the fact that we lived to make sure the other one wasn't slipping.

Nothing that anybody types from their fucknig keyboard will make you all of the things you listed. YOU HAVE TO WANT TO BE THAT PERSON. Your desire to be all the things you listed, has all the bullshit you are currently in your life. (not studying, procrastinating, video games etc.)
>>
>Your desire to be all the things you listed, has to be greater than all the bullshit you are currently in your life.**

>hard-working student
>work hard

It's not that hard to find out...
>>
Why would you want to? All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy
>>
>>16753219
Waking 7am and studying from 8-12 gives you plenty of free time
>>
>>16753225
Are we assuming that there are no classes or responsibilities involved?
>>
>>16753183
It's currently 9pm
I have 5 hours' worth of work to do for tomorrow morning
>>
>>16753234
Duck off I sleep 4hrs a night and still exercise, have play time, and study. Make a schedule and a routine and plan ahead for assignments and cook your meals ahead of time.
>>
>>16753249
>4 hours
You know your body needs more than that, right? You might be fine now, but it'll catch up to you.

And I'm not OP. I'm pretty satisfied with my grades, work ethic and time management.

Take Adderall/Vyvanse
>>
>>16753249
What kind of point are you trying to make? If you only get 4 hours of sleep a night, you shouldn't be trying to give advice on budgeting time, dude. That's wildly unhealthy.
>>
>>16753249
>4 hours
I don't know if I could do that. I'm a fucking zombie on even 6 hours of sleep. I simply cannot stay awake or maintain focus.
>>
>>16753262
not that guy but I do it just fine
not everyone is the same yo

It's actually worse for your body to be sleeping more than 8hours. anyways, 4 hours of reading in the morning and I do assignments at night before bedtime. I run off of a small can of redbull and coffee. I don't use any other drugs.
>>
>>16753286
>sleeps 4 hours
>runs off red bull and coffee
>actually thinks this is a good idea and actually encourages others to do the same

No one said to sleep more than 8 hours, by the way.
>>
>>16753279
It's not news to me that people do it. I've known engineering students, too. But it simply isn't good for you long-term.

You're not a superhero, sorry.

>>16753286
You don't know what you're talking about, sorry. Reading a couple articles in the pop. sci. press doesn't qualify you to talk about this. It's physically unhealthy behavior.

Sleeping for significantly more than 8 hours is often correlated with health problems, but it doesn't cause them. "You need 8 hours a night" isn't a hard rule, anyway -- it's a rough average. Some people naturally need a little more sleep than that, some need a little less. There's virtually nobody who naturally needs only four hours per night and will experience absolutely no ill effects from doing that long-term.

Do what you need to pass your classes, dude, but you shouldn't be advising others to do it.
>>
>>16753295
No one told me I'd be wasting 2hours commuting 6 hrs in class 4 hours studying 2 hours working on assignments 4 hours sleep and 3 hours at the gym with 1 hour commute, while all this leaving possibly 2 hours of free time. See? Making that routine wasn't hard
>>
>>16753310
This. Often you don't even notice the adverse effects in that you don't "feel" tired, but there have been studies that show that people who get significantly less than 7 or so or so hrs of sleep have slower reactions and lower concentration and they don't even notice this.

It's pretty good.

The only way to be elite is to commit a righteous hack, man. Like one of those Gibsons man! Could you imagine?
>>
>>16753259
really?

Get your friends to study with you. I have a study group with a few friends. We rent out a room in the library and study together to make sure we all stay on track, even if we aren't in the same classes.

Study maths, at first its pretty boring but eventually you'll get sucked in to it once you get past the plug and chug shit.
>>
>>16754115
That doesn't work for everyone. My friends and I just get distracted
