Don't count your chickens before they hatch

My brother used to work at an Oliver garden. The pay low and people treated him like shit.

Keep applying. If you're only applying at two places you won't find a job for months. Not you, but not everyone is hiring

What about red lobster? I live 5 minutes (walking) distance away from it should i check it out?

You're setting yourself up for shit jobs. These jobs aren't BAD by any means, but is there anything you're interested in? Maybe a music store or something small/local?

I did the restaurant chains and besides the people in there, there isn't much else to gain from them. Really wish I'd done something more related to a trade.

Idk your age and background, but you'd be surprised how much simply being interested and willing to learn will get you.

No offense or anything, I think that down the line a job focusing on something will be more beneficial

Im a 19 yr old senior in hs (missed a year due to poverty) so my options are limited. Im currently working 30 hours a week at krispy kreme but i want to start making more than minimum wage

whichever accepts you first

it's a good indication of who needs/values you more

I was a waiter from 16-21 and made much better money than most jobs my friends were doing. Aside from careers, waiting tables might be your best option until you go to school or find something really good.

You keep naming large chain stores like Olive garden and Krispy kreme. Maybe try finding something not so large?

i live in an area with alot of chain stores in close proximity that are ALWAYS hring and the private diners and restaurants where i live are not currently hiring.
>>

Always hiring cause bad turnover rates?
>>
>>16679309
Not entirely the organization could be shit and therefore have a high turnover rate.

Why don't you wait and see if/when you get a job offer.
>>
>>16679375
maybe. my current job is always hiring and yet ive been with them for 6 months. anyway, maybe i will take your advice and search further for more private owned places where i can work

Bump

It depends on what kind of job you're going for and how much the pay is. I only make minimum wage but I make good tips working at a semi high end steak house. Personally I would work at whichever one is more of a high end restaurant.
