Every uni has a list of reccomended reading. Start with that.

The highest murder rate is calculus. Learn that from khan academy. You want to be able to plot graphs, solve equations, integrals, differentials, linear algebra and so on. The sole fact you have to ask about this means you will most likely fail miserably.

Math is about practice, repetition and concentration. Find some examples of the math problems you're likely to face in your studies (for example course books) and start practicing. If you have trouble concentrating, go to a place where the wifi doesn't connect automatically and where you can enter the mental work mode easier, like a library or something like that. Practice helps with self-discipline too.

You're gonna hit withdrawal, and it's gonna suck. But you need it desperately. Waking up after NOT drinking is incredible after binging for so long.

Really, it sounds like you'e in kind of a toxic place that enables you to do what you need desperately to stay away from. If you can get another job, do. Or at least tell your boss to cut you off.

Well, today I get to my parents. I don't really feel the impulse to drink but I know that I won't be able to fall asleep without it. That's usually the trigger when I finally tell myself that I won't drink. At three am I just walk out of my apartment and go to a bar, because I just can't stand being alone with my thoughts. Why not have her move in in the place you are studying? Why not ask her to wait on familial commitment? Compromise is a part of life.

Otherwise, you will have to have a long discussion which may or may not end well for either party. After that you will have to cut them out of your life entirely and permanently or you will never get over them.

If you wish to place your own interests above those you love without considering other options she may probably better off without you, please take some time to consider a middle ground and sort out your own feelings.

I should add that she's studying currently in our hometown and will be for another 4 years. She is not ready to move to where I live and probably never will be since she values the proximity of her family a lot.

I used to be like that in my early 20s. I'm 30 now and don't play much anymore. They naturally lose appeal over time. Your brain stops giving you the same intensity of reward for it after a while.
