I am a mistake of a violinist. Going into my freshman year of college, I've been playing the violin since fourth grade. There was a long while where I neglected to practice and just dicked around in class and it's just now biting me in the ass. I want to get serious about playing but I've developed a horrible left hand position, broken vibrato, and several other bad habits; they're a bitch to break. I'm asking musicians, athletes, artists or anyone who may have faced problems with struggles in their trade: how do I improve myself and find the will to overcome this adversity despite being demoralized by my shortcomings?

Do public speaking. Doesn't it sound obvious? Practice leads to perfection on that matter (if there ever is perfection).
Rehearse the important parts of the presentation in order to be able to be authentic while also giving the information.
If you are scared to go on stage, than you should start with something like singing... You do it only to yourself and a selected few, until you feel more confortable to go on-stage. Another approach is to just go on-stage first to feel it and experience it, that alone should help you get more confortable. You see, it's not a hell to be there.

So I know private transport services will pay more than, for instance, being part of a hospital's ambulance crew.
But could anyone give me a rough percentage? I dont really want to do private transport, as the rate of 911 calls is abysmally low.
But I also need to pay my bills.

Depends on how much, if they wear the typical instagram amount of makeup you will probably be disappointed because they tend to look really different without it since they never tan their face with their body, if it's just a small amount of makeup that you really don't notice (looks natural) then it isn't too big of a deal

I need /adv/ saving my friend from a bad relationship.
Back story. Been friends with this girl for a little while now. Close enough to where she literally tells me everything. However we both have feelings for each other that is more than friends but decided to remain friends since she is in a relationship. She got out of a marriage of 14 years and met someone who just happened to be there to pick up the pieces. The "supportive" guy and now they are together. Her marriage failed do to cheating on the husbands side. Anyway I know this guy she is with and he is a complete prick. This guy will end up using her for a piece and then leave her.
Few weeks ago I went over her place because she asked me to. She had been drinking. Everyone knows that alcohol removes the filter that would normally prevent you from saying things you shouldn't. But most times there is truth in it all. Anyway she was complaining about how much of an a** this guy is but she loves him.How he is always canceling plans with her to hang out with his friends. At one point we were talking about something and i asked her what she wanted. At that point she blurted out she wanted me but cant because she has a bf. Also throughout the night I had to push her away about a dozen times to keep her from kissing me and rubbing up on me. She even bit the hell out of my chest lol. Anyway I would never take advantage of someone drunk and especially if they are in a relationship. Turns out she remembers nothing from that night at all but said she is so ashamed and doesn't want to tell her bf.
Since then she has distanced her self from me because she said her feelings for me were too strong and it would be unfair to her bf. But now getting back to this guy. How can I plant a seed is distrust to get her to not trust this guy before he ends up doing her wrong?
