I have a brother who has nearly every mental disorder under the sun. He has low functioning autism, mental retardation(they think), and ADHD.

My father just talked to me about my social life since I have always been a bit of a recluse because of the situation and my mother being worried to let me leave the house because of a heart condition.

He asked why I never been invited anyone over to the house and only went to other people's houses or to other places. I had before told him of this question that it was in fact because of my brother. This time though he said that I couldn't hide him forever.

I don't hide him though, my friends know, and I've told people this before.

My mother is the least understanding and doesn't understand a single reason why I wouldn't invite people over, and at her house there are even more since she basically lets him leave anything he wants anywhere, dirt, paper plates, or other things.

I just don't know what to do, I want my father to no worry about my social life, I want a larger social life, and I hate that my mother refuses to stop my brother when he turns the patio into a sandbox.

How do I separate the good and the bad when it comes to Lasik centers around me? (Southwest Florida)

There's Center For Sight, Seeport Optometry, Lasik Vision Instittue, Eye Centers of Florida. idk red flags or what to look for.

Anyone gotten Lasik? I've done a bunch of research about the actual procedure and whatnot, but how was your pricing? Poor college student but I paid off my car and got some extra money now. Sick of spending so much on glasses and contacts. I'd like to get a loan through my bank and finance it that way, as I really like them and I bet the interest would be lower.

Philadelphia Anons, I need some information. Clemens food group is opening up a facility near me and I want to know how they are as an employer. I've heard stuff on both sides of the spectrum.

From what I observed from their presentation they did today, they seem to be big into the diversity meme. All the supervisors from their Pennsylvania plant seem to be ethnic or female and they pushed their health insurance plan as if it's a definite reason to be employed by them.

When you run into someone you used to know, who disliked you in the past, and then doesn't say "hi" to you, does that mean that they will hate you forever? Do you ever say "hi" to people you used to know and disliked in high school for example?

Last night I cried in front of my girlfriend.

A song that is eerie in melody and in its way it's composed and how it hits the notes made me in tears, it was making me so distressed that it interfered with lovemaking , I told her and started to cry. And it's now stuck in my head I'm even listening to guitar covers of the chords and instructions on how to play it and it's hard to listen to it with a straight face.

I don't know how to deal with it now, I can't stop thinking of the song without being in fucking tears or listening to it.

Please help

How the fuck can i get a job? I live in Spain and have numerous degrees to work as a chef or waiter and every offer requieres X years experience. I'm studying atm to keep myself occupied but i'm starting to get desperate.

As the title says, theres a girl in high school we were not very close but still friends, talked from time to time, at the end of the year she knew I had a crush on her even tho I didnt tell her and I had to move away (different country etc).

Jump back to know 5 years after, we both are grown ups (20 years old), I had quite forgotten about her but there she added me on facebook !
I'm quite surprised, she only has 150 friends and she remembered me and added me.

Granted we have friends in common and she could have easily clicked on add my profile as a friend.

She isnt the type to be a super social girl (150 friends on FB isnt a lot for a chick ...) and shes a real qt like easy 7.5/10 if I'm being very very picky.

So, its now been 6 years we havent talked (just wished happy birthdays), she lives in a different city from me but the same country, and she comes every holiday to my city to visit her friends and family.

What can I do to not fuck this up ? Do I even have a chance to date her ?

Man I feel like its super awkward to ask out a chick through facebook like fuck its so beta.

After 2 years of college I've not been able to connect to any girl, since all I seem to get is either boring study types or just very plain uninteresting girls at my college or complete nutjobs hooked on drugs or dick.
These days I've begun thinking about my highschool days, and thinking about a specific girl I liked but was too edgy to act about it.
By the end of the last year of highschool we started getting closer. We would tease each other all the time, generally get along well, and she even said in a more subtle manner that she would like to hang out. She also asked me if I would like to parade with her in the closing ceremony.
Some of my friends were on to the whole thing and were mentioning that we got along. With the end of highschool we ended up having class albums and I gave mine to all my peers so they could write in it, and I decided to only read it with two of my best mates. She wrote in it and then she asked me to write back and I did, without knowing what she had written.
I later found out with my mates that she not only wrote some very kind words about me, she also requested my phone number.
Now the big question is this.
Should I try to contact her now? I've never spoken to her since we ended school. I fear that inviting her somewhere will either end up as a cute reunion with nothing happening afterwards or a desperate attempt to rekindle a relationship.

How do I improve my English speaking skills?

Also how to improve on accent? Let's say I'm going to Canada or US and I'm speaking to the people there and they can't catch up my English because I have a rather thick Indian English accent and at the end they get annoyed.

I don't want to break up with my girl friend, but it feels like something that needs to be done. I don't know if its because we hung out 8 days in a row, or what. But I just can't take her anymore. I love her, but she's so clingy now. In the beginning, I expelled so much love, and she was just receiving. She got annoyed by the amount of attention I was giving her, it was too much, I see that now, so I stopped. But she's doing the samething now. We're on two different pages, and we don't see eye to eye on a number of things. I find myself repeating the same stories to her, and the only times I feel close to her is when we're having sex. The person I'm with now, just isn't who I fell in love with. I love her a lot, but I don't know how much I can take. She's my first girlfriend, and she's been in 3 relationships, with a number of one night stands. We're both starting school this month, so we'll be seeing each other less. I don't know how to break up with her, because I have strong as feelings for her, but I feel its me loving the girl I feel in love with 6 months ago.

Hey /adv/ just need some quick advice

Stopped taking codeine on Friday (after aprox. two years of use) and I have an interview Tuesday. I was wondering if anyone has been in this situation before. I'm quite concerned I won't pass a drug screening if they administer one at that time. Most websites I've seen say that codeine becomes undetectable after 72 hours...
