A few hours ago I arrived home and found that one of my roommates had slid this really aggressive note under my door, accusing me of making the mess in the apartment (and to be fair it is messy, although none of it is mine) and telling me to "stop living like a pig."
The problem is I have 5 roommates and the note is anonymous, so I don't know which one of them left it. And since I just moved into this place and I mostly keep to myself I'm not close enough with any of my roommates to ask them for advice.
And desu I kinda share the note-writers frustration, because the apartment is a horrible mess (although that doesn't justify their hostile tone).
So I was thinking of trying to take the high road, and maybe posting my own (polite and non-passive-aggressive) on the fridge or somewhere acknowledging the original note, and acknowledging the fact that the apartment is messy and we should all work to keep it clean, and telling the note writer to talk to me in person if they have any further concerns. I was also planning on cleaning up some of the mess just as a gesture of good faith, because desu I don't think that pointing fingers and trying to find the culprit is going to solve the problem.
Does that sound like a reasonable thing to do? I thought about ignoring the note, but I'm also frustrated about the mess and think something should be done about it, and I really like the original note writer to come and talk to me face to face. Also I'm wondering if my other roommates got a similar note from the same person, and I don't want them to suspect me of leaving them anonymous, aggressive notes.
I also don't know if I should try to defend myself and point out that it's not my mess. Even though I've always cleaned up after myself, I have a feeling that if I try to point out that it's not my mess that I will come off as self-serving. But at the same time I really don't like having something blamed on me -- especially in such an aggressive tone -- which is not my fault.

It seems to me like someone is using your new occupancy as a means to get away with not cleaning after themselves. I would have an all housemate meeting and assert that the mess is not yours but that you are willing to HELP clean it for the sake of goodwill. Also that if they have an issue to talk to you like a person about issues not some stitty note that puts all the power in the sender as you have no way of defending yourself to a price of paper. Do this with conviction but don't be too aggressive or make it seem accusatorial. You are the "new guy" after all.

So i put in my 2 weeks notice yesterday. Been at a fast food place for the past 6 months...its been ok but one of the main reasons I'm quitting is because this fucking disgusting mexican shithole. I'm not racist but this guy almost makes me be. Imagine the most stereotypical looking dirty mustache mexican and this is him. I pretty much get along with everyone there except for this guy. It's a constant rolling his eyes, bad attitude, aggressive manner with him. I'm always looking over my shoulder to make sure he doesn't try something. He has made it VERY difficult to do my job. One example, we had a mix up in bags in drive-thru so when each customer brought back their food in took the food back to him to show him which sandwiches needed to be remade. He then proceeds to take each item out of the bag and put it in an unused box then back in the bag which is very much against health regulations... So of course i say no...and that i needed him to remake it from scratch and throw the returned stuff in the trash. So of course this fucking dirty shithole doesn't understand or even give a fuck and attempts to reach into the fucking trash can after grunting at me and tries to switch the shit again. At that point i was steeming mad... i could lose my job for serving that shit so i say sternly NO REMAKE and take the returned food to a different trash can. Mother fucker gets mad, grunts at me and rolls his eyes like im retarded and remakes the new shit all dirty, hardly wrapped and with sauce stains all over it and throws it out the shoot. Yea this is what I've been had to deal with for months. The sad part is this fucker can't even speak english so I can't explain why what he's doing is wrong. So before I quit I want to get revenge on this fucker. Pranks or anything to fuck with this guy.He drives a big moving truck to work so i was thinking about screwing with that... I don't want to get caught tho cuz i may have to use the managers as a referral for my next job. Any ideas?

My mom is dying, she was diagnosed with als. As her oldest son i really failed her, she wont get to be a grandmother but maybe that dosen't matter. Was talking in a voice chat with some people all night. Only had the balls to do it because I was drunk. I had a lot of fun though. I had this idea in my head that every time I would speak, I'd just get told to shut up (This used to happen with some people I used to hang around with when I was younger) and was honestly surprised when they didn't, they even reacted to things I said without scorn but with genuine answers. It felt really good, it reminded me I'm not below anyone, I'm just a human like everyone else.
How do I get more confident at talking in conversations and stuff? I'd love to do this more often but I don't want to become an alcoholic.
