My ex was abusive and I have ptsd partly due to him. I never went to the police because I don't believe they help people. I work at a school and he has recently began to volunteer there (our kids attend) I can't be around him randomly with no notice and time to psych myself up for it. Should I go to the school director and tell her TMI? I'm private. I had a panic attack after finding out he would be there this week. I'm good at hiding it. I don't know what to do.

I'm a 19 year old dude that's looking to improve his odds of getting laid down the road, say 3 to 5 years from now on. Aside from lifting, which I already do, is there any other thing I should be doing? I'm currently undergoing college, and one thing that worries me is that I have no real hobbies aside from lifting and playing videogames. Should I drop the games in favor of something more socially interesting like sports?
I don't do clubbing (yet) and don't really 'get out there'. Say I'm in a 'coccoon' mode looking solely for self improvement before I start trying my luck. What would you guys and girls recommend?

Yes. Focus on being smart, funny and empathetic. The world is full of guys who think their muscles, hobbies and nice clothes entitle them to sex. They're generally unimaginative, boring and in plentiful supply.
Be a good person. Be someone who people like to spend time with. If you truly stop giving a shit about impressing people the world of women will blossom for you, anon. A guy who lifts and clubs is not unique or interesting. A humble, light hearted guy who doesn't take himself too seriously and treats people with respect is.

I'm aware muscle and everything else won't entitle me to shit. I'm just trying to improve anything I can, and I think fitness is attractive. I'm not exactly humble, though, and I have no clue how to change that, since it's something much deeper than looks or whatever. But thanks for the insight, I'll work on that.

now that we broke up I'm trying to turn my life around, I've started going to the gym, I'm seeing a nutritionist, I'm seeing a therapist, I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with my life
it's still hard as fuck, every day I wish she could believe that I have the capacity to change, but I know that she got exhausted and has moved on

I'm 23, graduated with my BA in psych in June, surprised to find I'm burning out in my work. I work as a behavioral therapist for autistic kids (and kids with other mental disorders). I've been working in this field since I was 20; I love working with the kids, I love the hours, I love the field. I got a big raise ($17/hr to $22/hr) just with the BA and I also get to work with home-cases.
But I'm burning out. It's as if after I got my degree, I just lost my desire to work. I feel empty. For the first time in my life (I've been working since I was 15) I go to work and then home and then I have nothing to do.
Should I go back to school, get my masters?
Should I get a hobby?
