I've been renting an apartment since mid-June. After living here a while, there are several things I find annoying as hell about this place. I want to find a new place, pack up, and leave early.
But I was re-reading my lease and this caught my eye

Depends on what they do when they jerk off for a month.
Either way, you owe them the rent for the rest of the lease immediately if you move out. If there's 6 months on the lease left, then you owe them 6 months' rent immediately

that is standard clause in USA and the apart mgmt could care less how quickly they rent it out because you are responsible for the rent $$ until end of lease

I started a few exciting projects I'll probably never finish. I did a few sucky drawings. I'm 27 and my art still sucks ass.

It starts on having a more positive outlook on your art. Sure, I get it, you have probably been an artist for years, you think your barometer of not only your abilities but your peers abilities justifies you to an encompassing negative opinion. If you think something sucks, if think it is terrible, what are the chances you will actually finish it, slim to.. none.
You are judging your current pieces by your past projects and other's people's projects. Isn't the point of art for it to be unique, different, and polarizing? All I am trying to convey is that you have to start each project like the page; white, and blank, and that means no preconceived notions and judgements, no thoughts of yesterday or today, what you think you can do and what others are doing.
I am by no means and artist, however I do have the deepest appreciation for art. All of the hours, concepts, and full waste baskets transmute to every present and future stroke of pen, pencil, brush, etc. It is with this where you must disregard the past, and focus on the present and future, and of course I mean artwork to artwork.
You may ask what a negative mind has in all this, it is trying to contain and restrict something that should have no restrictions, limits, or rules, no guidelines or expectations. Mind clear, page, blank; white.

I've been training all my life to become the most bad ass soldier. I've been working out none stop everyday of my life. I just turned 18 and now I'm allowed to enlist in the military. I can do 30 dead hang pull ups, 60 dips, 150 sit ups in two minutes and a 5k time of 20 minutes. I was also on the swimteam for 6 years. I also wanted to become a Navy Seal but after looking at other branches and their special forces it's become clear to me they are not the only options on the playing table. I don't want to join a branch just because of their one elite unit, i want to join because they are the most bad ass branch. The Navy has Seals and Swcc, but besides that none of the mos meet my agenda. The Marine Corp has recon which is not part of special operations but they are still have around equal training to seals marsoc rangers ect... Then we have Marsoc which is a new spec ops created by the marine corp. The army has rangers and berets, and of course the air force has Pj's but fuck them. I'm not becoming a nurse with a gun. If i become one of the best in any of these special forces i could be requested to join Devgru or Delta force. What do you think would be the best road in becoming an elite killing machine for the United States government?

Need some advice, /adv/
So my birthday is coming up. My girlfriend doesn't have a job and just stays at home with the dog. So money on her end is almost non existent.
Anyways, would it be inappropriate for me to buy something sexy for her to wear on my birthday as a gift to me? She doesn't have anything at all except for fairly normal underwear. She kind of has self esteem issues, even though her body is fine. The sex is kind of "eh" at the moment and doesn't happen very frequently either, and when we do, it's usually just missionary and cowgirl. So she's pretty modest. I wouldn't get her anything that makes her look like a trashy porn star, just something seductive.
Am I asking for trouble if I do this?

So I'm 26, 27 in a few weeks. I moved back in with my parents about 4 months ago because my roommates girlfriend had started living with us and it was never really discussed with me, and also I want to eventually buy a house so I figured I would move in with my parents to save money. Well I'm finding the housing market is fucking ridiculous right now and I pretty much have no hope of buying a house anytime soon even though I make a decent living of 60k a year.
Living at home has killed my dating life. I can tell whenever I tell a girl I live at home she immediately loses interest in me. I can never ask them to come back to my place, and asking to go back to theirs doesn't seem to go well. What should I do? I have 30k saved up for a house but any decent home in my city is going for 300k right now. A home between 150-200k will have you living in the ghetto here.

About two years ago I got a new coworker. From that very first day she hit every one of my buttons in attraction, both physically and in personality. She had a boyfriend so I tried to keep my self from getting too flirty while also trying not to get too interested in her.
That didn't particularly work and I fell for her hard.
The other day she came over with the explicit purpose of getting me drunk because she'd never been around when I was. She proceeds to do so, having only two shots all night herself. At some point we snuggled into my bed. My hands ended up all over her, I tested the waters a bit then fingered her and ate her out for about half an hour. We kissed a bit afterwards.
She starts getting dressed and I start spilling my guts. "I love you. Anyone but you would be a compromise. I don't want you to marry this other guy." All that jazz.
She smiled, kissed me more, "why would you want me, wouldn't you prefer X since her boobs are bigger, don't you want Y since her butt is nicer". About an hour later she left.
At this point I don't know what to do. She's coming over some time this week to hang out again, which means I at least didn't upset or weird her out enough for her to break off contact. But now I'm worrying about whether she took me seriously or not.
Did she take what I said as drunken rambling that meant nothing? Or did she take it honestly? At this point I want to sit down with her and say it all straight and sober. That I meant everything I said. But I don't know if that's the smart thing to do.
I'd really appreciate some opinions on what to do and how to handle this situation.
