Hey /adv/

I have a big problem with motivation. I have absolutely 0 motivation to do anything.

I have no hobbies and no goals in my life. I have some friends, but I constantly lie to most of them.

I don't even feel like I have a personality, everything I do is fake. If I didn't have my own tastes in music, movies, videogames and books I'd probably be a hollow shell of a man. It hurts so much, but it's even worse when someone pops my bubble ("everyone has a boring life like me").

For example, my best friend constantly pursues chicks. He fucks a different one every week. And it's not like I'm jealous because I can't do that. I'm jealous of his drive to do things. I just can't fucking bring myself to start hitting on a girl. It takes so much fucking effort, I have to go out of my way and constantly try my best. At lying, of course, because I wasn't born with a loveable/likeable personality. And then I jerk off and don't give a fuck for the next three months, because my sexdrive died when I was fifteen years old.

And it doesn't apply only to girls. It's like this with everything. I feel like I'm capable of doing great things, but I lack the motivation. I simply hate my fucking life and don't even want to change it.

I've been trying to figure out who I am and what I want since I was 16. I've been taking drugs, discussing philosophy with people, reading hundreds of books and doing other stuff.

It's slowly driving me towards suicide.

Is saying "there's nobody I want more" the same as saying "I don't want anyone else but you"?

Ex of 4 years breaks up with me and then I just block her phone number.

A month later, she tries to call me every few days, and then somehow texts me saying she had a nightmare that I was hurt and wanted to see if I was okay lol.

I cave and tell her not to contact me but she kept saying that she wants to be friends and that she misses me and wants to hear my voice despite breaking up with me.

She has done this multiple times in the past and when I get back with her, she breaks up with me again and then calls me back a month later.

Why the fuck does she keep doing this?

What's a job where you can save a lot of money fast because they pay for/provide your room and board and also doesn't involve a lot of qualifications?

I don't know what to make of this girl.

We randomly met in college at a student club. She seemed really interested in talking to me which to be honest was a bit surprising. We ended up taking the same math class this summer so we had class together every day and hung out quite a lot. When we studied/hung out she always touched me a lot or put her head on my shoulder. Added her on FB and turned out she has a girlfriend(she's bisexual). She never mentioned it and I never confronted her about it but one day she randomly said it to another classmate and said "anon didn't know I had a girlfriend lol" I told her I already knew she said "I didn't tell you bc me and her were going through something and didn't know if we'd stay together"

Whenever we talk long enough the conversation inevitably ends up being about her exes or sex. She constantly checks out girls and some guys around me as if she wants me to react. At the same time she complains/brags about rejecting people she willfully flirts with because in the end "she has a gf."

For finals the following semester she got a hotel room and invited me to sleep over. I was like ohboyhereitcomes.jpeg but then she invited another female friend, kept talking to her gf (who paid for the room) on the phone. we were alone for a few hours before her friend came over and I called it a night (early test) but she was in her bed talking about how her butt and tits look (she says shes getting fat)

I briefly considered making some kind of move but I remember how she's always saying she has a gf and didn't feel like taking the risk before an important test.

Hey /adv/, I need your help.

I joined the Army in June of 2016 and I have been in OSUT since then. First I had an 18x [SF candidate] contract, I failed that, couldnt pass a PT test with a 240 in my second phase of training in 11B [Infantry Rifleman] and then got stuck in an airborne holdover for 3 months before getting reclassed to 19D [Cavalry Scout].

I am now in the last 3 weeks of my training about to go on my final FTX [basically like a camping trip with field exercises we do before we graduate], and truthfully, as I look back on my time here in the Army it has been an absolute disaster and a complete waste of time.

I have not achieved anything I came in to do, my original goals were to try and better myself through learning to socialize (I have not accomplished this and in fact I am more painfully aware of how unable I am to compromise with this idea of what a common man's behaviors should be like) through better organization and through some kind of discipline. I wanted legitimate change, looking back, many of the people that were that way in OSUT were simply that way before they came into the Army.

I'm a student, but I have ample amounts of free time this semester. School clubs and socializing in general scares the shit out of me and I don't want to work a part-time job. I already have a regular workout routine.
Literally all my free time is currently spent on 4chan, netflix, and sites where I watch cartoons and/or anime.

Recommend a hobby? Preferences:

>won't be humiliating
>can do it on my own
>can use it for conversation
>free or at least very low-cost
>flexible schedule, can start or stop doing it whenever I want

wifes birthday, mom in law visiting. I tell her not to wash our clothes because we don't want to lose stuff, really it's because it isn't doing us a favor because she mixes them with her own and she doesn't bathe often, I have to wash them again separate afterwards.
Today I come home from work, wash room is destroyed. I had chemical silica packets (work related) in work pants I left in my bedroom. She threw all of our clothes in with hers. Silica gel all over clothing and clogged washer. She just left it like that and went out. I called her and yelled at her on the phone, she went into hysterics and called my wife's entire family. Then they bothered my wife at work. Now my wife is upset at me for yelling at her mother, and everyone is going full autism mode. Meanwhile I was able to fix our washer and am salvaging the clothing.
Tl/dr; I said not to do something, she did it and destroyed expensive shit, I yelled at her for it, I cleaned up mess I didn't make and fixed thing I didn't break, everyone mad at me for yelling at her on the phone. How do I take all this punishment so that my wife can still enjoy her birthday tonight? Do I just suck it up? Yes this situation happens frequently.

Hey anons, how do I deal with social anxiety? I just watched iDubbbz's recent vlog of him going to PAX and it made me realize I could never do anything like that, socialize with people in that manner. I'm just not equipped to handle social experiences and I always end up reverting to just being "that shy dude that never talks unless spoken to" whenever I go into one.

My girlfriend loves going to cosplay conventions but just the thought of interacting with her friends makes me pussy out because I don't want them to think she has a "weird boyfriend". So I guess in addition to my question above, what do I do when I'm in the company of her friends? I'm not talkative, nor am I that much into cosplaying. I feel like I'm just going to be following her around quietly like some scared dog which I probably am. I think this is related to the social anxiety bit too.

I knew a girl a while back. I fell in love with her but she didn't feel the same. We cut ties for a while after thanks and I was very depressed for a long time. One day she texted me and we started talking like friends again. And I need advice. I lost my old phone and it had her number on it. I got a new phone now and don't know her number to text her. I could message her on Facebook but we aren't friends on there so I don't want to seem weird. Is there anything I can do?

Long story short, one of the production managers is getting on my balls saying that I should consider the forecast data for up to 3 months as FIXED (as in just like a normal purchase order) instead as just a preview.

They claim that I'm fucking the company by not forcing the costumer to send POs for every forecast data within the next 3 months that I put into the system.

I claim in my defense that only a PO is the binding and fix order and that I cannot do anything about a possible forecast which changes wildly from week to week. Also that I certainly can't force a costumer to send POs.

There's no help from my supervisors or the people that should handle these issues, I'm basically alone when it comes to handling this shit and nobody wants to take the responsibility of having a meeting with the customer and perhaps have a different deal. It's not up to my competence to do this as well.

This guy Tom Leykis forces people to pay for his podcast. I don't pay the subscription fee but I do record his podcasts daily and post edited versions (with commercails removed) of them to soundcloud and youtube for free. Im not making any money off this just think its a dick move to charge $20 a month or whatever to people. Now I have received threatening emails from several of his fans and Tom's attorney. Since I have removed all content. I did some research and found this old post from 2014 on Facebook of him saying that subscribers agree not to post content. I am not a subscriber and simply am recording his show from his website. Can I legally get away with putting these 26 shows I recorded back up and continue to record and post his show if I am not making any money off his content?
