when we broke up during Christmas she and I cried alot. she was very positive at first, still texting me hearts and cute stuff and said we may come back together, we dunno.

but lately she gotten so cold towards me. no emotion, just alot of anger. really hurts me, I can't honestly imagine dating someone else

during the relationship: her and I get pissed off at the smallest little things, but we would still love each other in the end. I always forget somthing insignificant like her shoe size and she would still get very upset, and so forth. she gets upset a little too often. also, I openly tell her all my insecurities that I have but I feel like she just can't handle it or something. so far, she wants to not talk to me for awhile.

what should I do?? I want to come back together and improve myself in a way but I really don't know what.

What is this "sort of broken up but not really" shit people are doing? You two are idiots
>>

As someone who went through a very similar situation a few years ago, the best broad/generalized advice I can give you is to gtfo as soon as possible, dragging things out like that is just unnecessarily painful. If you think there's actually a chance/desire to get back together, take this time to be on your own.

I'm 25 and still a virgin. Never had a girlfriend or even kissed a girl. I'm good at talking to girls now. Hot girls approach me a lot and are always smiling as they talk to me. I have a two female friends I made when I became good looking who are drop dead gorgeous.

The problem is that I don't exude "sex". Girls like to flirt with me, and I like it too. I can make them laugh, think, and stimulate them that way... but they just don't see me as a sexual option because I never take it further. I've had girls ask if I was gay before because I wasn't acting to their advances as I should.

I really need help badly. I need a wingman, or a wing girl, or something. My best friend doesn't want to help because he doesn't know I'm a virgin (no one thinks I am) and my other best friend (one of the gorgeous girls) has a boyfriend now. Maybe that's an excuse and I should ask them.

Anyone been in a similar situation and, well, recovered? I'm really worried about my future relationships because of my lack of experience.

maybe you should try to be a little more aggressive, in the sense where you flirt back and talk a lil more confidently like how she looks cute or etc.

also, asking out is a good way to start a relationship. alot of girls are actually okay with blindish dates OR you can be friends with em first and work up the courage to ask them out.

what I said can be subjective to error but it's the best advice I can give
>>
>>17990381

My female friend always tells me that becoming a girls friend first is the best way to get into a relationship with them. I think that only applies to her though, not all girls.

I never compliment girls at all. I tease them and make them laugh, talk about pretty girls and things like that, but I never make it clear I like them.
>>
>>17990370

What if you do everything on this list and still want to slit your throat?

But seriously, just move in sexually. tell them you like them. tell them they're gorgeous.

What are you supposed to do when it's 7 AM, you haven't slept, you're scared of being alone but you live alone, and you know you should sleep but you're too scared to sleep?

The scariest stuff happens between midnight and 3am. After that you're usually good to go. Sleep tight or have background noise like a TV or fan.

Very few people will respect your job. Don't get mad if an asshole steps into a wet area you just cleaned.

What are some cool and creative hobbies you have?

In my spare time I make mashups of songs, but I want to try more. I don't mean hobbies like stamp collecting, I mean like programming, music making and survival (e.g. making fires, hunting). Hobbies that end up with me having created something or going through experiences I can look back on. Collections aren't really my cup of tea.

Surfing is pretty fun. I started doing that last year. Also, martial arts if you want some kind of sport that doesn't have a sport vibe.

I make clothing, too. But you sound like a guy so that might not be your cup of tea. On top of that, learning an instrument is always rewarding.

I'm a High School Film teacher in California. This is my first year teaching. We just started the second semester and I have a kid in my class that's constantly causing disruptions and problems. Problem is, these disruptions are escalating to near-violence.

Today in class I sent my students off to work on their film projects (we're filming movies for youtube right now) and while I was helping one of the groups, this student comes up behind me on two separate occasions and swings at the back of my head. Neither times connect. Thankfully I had an honest student tell me what what going on so I went and played back the footage that the cameras in my class picked up (my classroom is monitored by surveillance cameras that I control because the previous film teacher lost all his equipment due to a break-in) and sure enough...several times this student had swung at the back of my head. Interestingly enough, the rest of the class he spent standing in the corner staring at me and rocking back and forth on his heels. It...makes me really uneasy.

I reported it to the Vice Principal and he assured me that the student will be punished in kind. But what I'm wondering is what can I legally do if the student decides to throw another punch at me and I see it coming? If I'm being entirely honest, there's nothing I'd want more than to deck this kid out to teach him a lesson but...I'm not about to go to jail over this kid either. Is there a legalfag in there than can advise me?
19 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Not really a legal fag here, but another teacher fag. Or at least, teacherfag in training. Still got another year on my degree.
Idk about cali but here in mo we have a class as part of the degree that's basically legal shit and teaching 101.

Essentially, if the kid actually does deck you, yeah doesn't matter if you're a teacher, you most certainly have the right to press charges.

Now, problem is in our field, we're expected to take the "high road" and be the role model. Therefore, we aren't supposed to use violence unless 100% necessary. If the kid punches you, you still likely can't just deck him back. You'll be expected to subdue him nonviolently. You are the "bigger" adult here after all. If the kid assults you, take his ass to the ground and hold him down until the cops come.

If you fight him back, depends on the laws there. You can claim self defense any day, but he can claim excessive force since you're an adult and hes "just a kid". Legally that's how it'll play out. But letting your emotions get the better of you can cost you your job, and any job in your profession period.
Because lets be real, say this kid decks you. Are you really going to fight him back because you fear for your life, or because you're mad he hit you? I'm willing to be the latter. Take his ass to court, if he's old enough you can get him tried in adult court. That'll teach him a lesson more than a quick punch imo. Physical pain goes away in minutes. Having to pay a hefty settlement and getting a criminal record will hurt him for life.
>>
>>17990301
This is exactly the answer I was hoping for. Thank you.
>>
>>17990311
Yeah theres a distinct difference between what you can legally do and what will get you fired and kicked from the profession.
I'm sure in California you have the right to defend yourself, regardless of your profession. So as I said, kid hits you, "defend" yourself all you want. But keep in mind you will almost definitely lose your job.

Honestly if it were me, if the kid doesn't get any punishment from the principal and/or ever does this noncontacting swing again, first thing I'd do is tell your principal you want him out of your class. He's a danger to you and your other students.
If he does make contact, sue his ass for assault.

If I were to learn how to sing in a style like James Hetfield or get better in general how would I succeed in doing so?
6 posts and 2 images submitted.

You should sing like yourself. As corny as it sounds, trying to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.

What if Dio tried to sing like Elvis? That'd be a waste of that POWERFUL fucking tenor he had right?

Just keep practicing, you'll realize what your vocal strengths and limits are in no time. Look up guides on how to use your diaphragm in singing too, this is CRUCIAL

Yeah just keep practicing

Just add -ahh at the end of every line

I've had the same person cutting my hair for the past 16 years (my mom, but she was a hairdresser so it's not totally weird). But she and I and I aren't talking anymore, and my hair is past the point of no return. I need it cut.

Should I just stick to some kind of chain, like a Supercuts, or is an actual salon worth it?

I've had the same cut as this pic with some slight length changes and maybe sweeping it to the side when it's longer for as long as I can remember. Should I go somewhere and ask them to change it? Is it worth $45+ for someone to pick whatever they think will look good on me?

I look awful right now.

>>17990262

ive gone to salons and been dissappointed. i go to supercuts and like my girl there. really what matters most is that you find someone who can do good. sometimes it might take two tries cuz you need to understand your hair as well.

the thing about hair stylists is that they have no real way to prove worth. when people dont liek their haircut they leave dissapointed but never make a scene. some salons hire based on that persons look.

if your hair isnt complex than supercuts is fine, just bounce around til you find a person who does good. mine knows that i have thing hair and a bad hairline so she knows exactly how to cut it to look like neither of those are true.

the guy at the 50 dollar salon made it look like he cut the back of my hair using a bowl. i literally poitned this out to him after the fact how there was a sudden drop in the amount of hair i had and he said 'thats just the way your hair is'.

fucking enraging.
>>
>>17990262

Depends on how much of a shit you give about your hair.

If you just want to hack it down to size, go buy a set of clippers and do it yourself. Save a ton of money that way.

Failing that, yeah, just go to a cheap chain and have them trim it, assuming you can style it or whatever yourself.
>>
>>17990262
i'm in a similar situation, my haircutter since I was 10 just retired recently.

like i'm thinking I should just get two large mirrors and a set of tools to cut my own hair. I can always get it cut professionally (though I have not been satisfied the last few times) to clean it up should I mess up big.

>>
>>17990221
Read your books and do the problems. There is no royal road to mathematics nor to physics. You're supposed to feel dumb when you learn this stuff. Do the problems until you can look at the same type of problem and know exactly what needs to be done.

If you still struggle otherwise, consider hiring a tutor.

Health question that I couldn't find an answer for on Google:

Let's say your eye is red and irritated. Something you would do is put eye drops in and to help flush it out or whatnot.

So My mother and I moved into a new home. My neighbors are an old 50+ couple that live like pigs, their home and area is gross.

Yet the wife was sweet to me, until I notice that she was nosy of my personal life like my schooling, etc etc. Yet I found out that she was nosy because the former renters of our home were the neighbors from hell.

So okay that's fine. Yet when I decide to rake up leaves near their area since it looked nasty, So then the husband and wife comes out and asks why, which I answered so it would look cleaner.

So then he starts asking me questions about my schooling, etc etc. The wife thought one of the colleges that I wanted to go was closing, yet both me and the husband told her "Uh no, it's not" And in my mind I'm like "Okay, I should tell them to buzz off", yet I don't want to seem like I was hiding something or get into some useless conflict, so I told him but some parts it felt like an interrogation but ended well and allowed me to rake the leaves.

Should I be concerned with them? My family thinks they're racist since we're the only mexicans around rednecks.

>>17990156

My grandma does this kind of thing with no understanding that some people think it's a little uncomfortable. It's a little bit of a generational thing. For example, she finds the "young Mexican boy" up the road to be "nice but too private," despite the fact he'll come by and help them fix something, bring them some leftovers, whatever.

In their era (and my parents, who are 50+), you used to know everything about your neighbors. My dad, when he was 35 or so, walked around to all of his neighbors' houses in the first week that he moved in, and introduced him to someone. He still laughs that one of his now long-time friends said "uh, hi... yeah? and what do you want?" when he introduced himself.

On the other hand, I don't know the name of a single one of my neighbors.

Just be nice, and it'll work out!
>>
>>17990184
I don't think it will. Sadly, I got a little upset about it and told my grandpa about it...who doesn't really care for white people.

So he traveled over (with his revolver for just in case but under his shirt) and walked around our backyard, where I cleaned up the area.

He said I did great but overdid it and he glanced over to our neighbors backyard and said "Look at their yard...bunch of white trash, don't ever let that upset you, that's just pure white trash"

I then made a nervous nod and laugh because he was a bit loud and I knew that they have their windows open.

So now I'm worried that they heard that and doubt we'll become good neighbors...
>>
>>17990156
it helps to have good relations with neighbors, as long as they are good people
they will watch your back, watch your home when you are way, and take note of any suspicious people like thieves and burglars.

Hey, last weekend I was watching Rick and Morty with my gf but we didn't finish and are planning to continue next weekend. She told me not to watch any of it without her. The thing is that I am watching all of it without her because she doesn't speak english so we are watching dubs and I know from my experience with anime how much I am missing out by watching filthy dubs, so I am watching it on english on my on.

Should I
1) Lie to her next week and pretend I didn't see any of it
2) Tell her that I am watching it and why and that I'll still watch it with her

Until now I was going with 1) but now I've started to think about how maybe it would make her feel nice that I would be honest with her so maybe I should go with 2) but then I am fearing that if she knows that then she'll just feel like she should watch it on her own too and just get on with it.

What do? Anyone have experience with this? It is the first time we watch something that is not japanese and while she is always okay with doing subs for anime, for some reason she wants dubs for this american anime. Need advice.

I'd lie about it. Comedy isn't translated as well as its normal delivery.

It's not like it's the kind of show that is going to hella spoil something you should both be "shocked" by, it's a cartoon. If this were a drama, different story maybe.
