Has anyone here been on Fluoxetine? If so, what were your experiences like?
It's been sitting on my shelf for around a week. I'm terrified to take it. I'm scared that something will go wrong and I'll get worse, have more suicidal thoughts, and tear my family apart. I kind of want to keep trying to battle my depression through hard work and self-improvement, but it's not working.
Should I start taking it? What is Fluoxetine like?
>>18033158
I actually had a lot of fun taking Fluoxetine.
I wish I was taking it right now
>>18033170
What did you find fun about it?
>>18033175
Life was great. Take it, Got me out of depression
I'm all over the place not knowing what I should dedicate time to. I'm 18 in my last year of high school. Most college deadlines have passed. I don't want to get in debt though, but also I want a future, even though I don't know what I want to do. Do I go right into the work force? I heard something about community college but don't know much about it. I'm just very unsure, what do??
>>18033143
Go get a job.
Sign up for one, maybe two community college classes in the fall. They are cheap and the credits transfer to any reputable university if that's what you decide to do.
Talk to the other students at CC. There will be a variety of people from different backgrounds.
Network, talk, research. You will come to a decision.
There's always basic CC trade school. Or no school at all...
>>18033151
that sounds pretty good actually, so community college really is the way to go?
>>18033143
Marry me. I'll take care of you. ;)
ive started talking to this extremely beautiful girl that was one of my random online facebook friends and things have really picked up
like we seem to both be really obsessed and sexually attracted to each other
i mean i guess thats fine, she lives a state up of me so i dunno..
I just need help not being so fucking obsessed with her because i dont want to neglect my own life, but im not about to drop this either!! i just dont want to get extremely hurt if something goes wrong
any advice
cum on her pic. share it with her
>>18033156
ive thought about it
Sounds sad and mean, but I've never seen a guy inflatuated with a girl while his penis is inside another.
What would be the pro's and con's to dating a high schooler?
Details:
>I'm 19 (20 in July), sophomore in college
>she's 17 (birthday was 3 days ago), junior in high school
>we get along very well, similar style, interests, ethics, etc
>I've met her parents before and they liked me
>she is legal where I live (Texas)
quit being a fucking creep
>>18033112
Pros:
>get to fulfill fantasy
Cons:
>labelled as a creep
>senseless drama
>possibly labeled as a pedophile, and/or rapist by her friends
>lose job
>you'll be cheated on
>have to deal with immaturity
>have to deal with her friends
>have to deal with her family who will surely not approve
>>18033112
If she were a year older it'd be fine. She's not though, so expect to catch some flak.
Ok. How do I find a gf while having acne?
>>18033097
get some salicylic acid dude
>>18033097
accutane.
>>18033103
this + tretinoin + moisturizer can also keep it at bay
Go visit a dermatologist
I have a question, how does skin with acne feel? Is it oily? Does it hurt if someone touches it/presses against it?
Why did you date the people you dated?
What do you look to get out of being in a relationship with someone?
Because she brings a lot of joy into my life and makes me feel so cared for. I love making her smile and laugh. She makes me want to be a better person, never judges me, and is there to support me whenever I need it. She's a best friend who also so happens to turns me on so much it's unbelievable.
>>18033062
i have a good laugh with her and i like having sex with her
none of this soppy b/s, life isn't a love film, it really is as simple as that
Another bump
what do you do when you have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge but don't have an ounce of common sense?
Also, I think I'm dyslexic and have ADD
I was a really smart kid, then hit secondary school and completely fell off. Now I'm barely scraping by and tempted to suicide myself. If you have the motivation and drive to be smart you'd be doing it right now. Otherwise, join the club of suicidal teens
>>18033061
read. and if readings not enough, do. common sense isn't going to stop you from learning something on your own time anon.
>>18033194
>smart kid
>hit secondary school and completely fell off
Hate to break this to you, but no, no you weren't.
To be extremely concise, I failed out of college due to not being able to pass math. My other grades were fine in the beginning but right now they've all tanked since I have three F's (retakes) in Calculus.
I've never been very smart but now I'm learning that I might be low IQ. The first two times I studied like hell because I was not getting it and still did not since I did not pass the final. The last time I swallowed my pride and let a tutor teach me. Even then, the tutor i spent hours with in the school library was looking at me like I was retarded. And with all of that my writing skills are horrid and all of my peers are looking down on me as the bottom feeder who is taking up space that an another person should have. These are the contacts I'm supposed to be networking with too.
My college has a three strike policy and failing three courses is automatic expulsion. My biggest issue is that I don't know what to tell my parents and what to even do from here. I've gone from aspiring student (with weak intelligence) to a burden on everyone in one semester.
>>18033051
Bump.
Any advice would be appreciated.
If you can navigate through the schools website and register for classes then you are definatly smart enough for college. Focus on the topics that confuse you the most, you'll get through it.
>>18033217
Well I got kicked out so unfortunately I'm not so sure I may get through it now, maybe next time tho.
How should I approach this with my parents since I haven't told them? Failing out is going to have my parents think extremely lowly of me since my other siblings are ivy league graduates w/ 100k jobs.
everyone says:
"He only talks to me when he wants something"
"What does he want....?"
...how do i move on from this? i don't really understand what i'm doing
>>18033001
What does he want? Take an educated guess OP..
If he causes you more pain than joy then try your best to move on and learn from this.
>>18033003
>Take an educated guess OP..
i'm just trying to talk. why is that so difficult?
should i act more dismissive towards people and pretend i'm not interested???
Perhaps show more interest, or perhaps stop fucking caring about others. They're all fucking hyppocrites anyway, why bother.
is it normal to stay friends with all your highschool buddies after school?
everyone i know stayed friends, whereas my group just completely disbanded after highschool, everyone went off their separate ways and none of us keep in contact.
i kept close with one guy but i don't get the chance to talk to the other guys anymore.
is this normal?
Yeah lol, fuck your high school friendships
Get a gf
>>18032976
Yes and no. I keep in touch with a few of my buddies. The majority I have zero contact with. We all took different paths in life. It's perfectly normal OP.
>>18032976
it varies. this is the embodiment of 'everyones different'. most just talk on facebook. some hang out regularly. depends who moves, who stays, who goes to college, how much you change etc.
there is nothing wrong with still being friends wtih them. nothing wrong with moving on either.
So I want a typical "office job" but I don't know what titles I should look up to even begin searching for it. Not data entry/receptionist but that cubicle type of stuff. I''ve been googling but I don't know what those types of jobs are specifically and "office job" doesnt really help.
I'm so sick of food service and retail if I keep having to do this shit I'm gonna go crazy.
I have an "office job" ina c ubicle but some days it involves driving.
Most of those you go to college for. If you want a generic one get a certificate in bookkeeping or something to that effect and go from there.
Despite the hype, a lot of engineering and jobs and the like are almost entirely in the office and you rarely leave your desk.
>>18032977
I was thinking of getting a degree in communications since I figured bookkeeping was more math and payroll related. I'm absolutely god awful at math but if it's more of the organization of payroll or finances maybe I'll check it out.
I work as a BI / DW consultant.
I spend all my days hacking sql, doing dimmensional modellering, for invoces, orders, ledgers and shit. I also do a lot of ETL, draging arrows between boxes, parsing json, handling events from message queues etc.
Its a hard task because you need to understand the needs of the bussiness users, be able to hack some scripts and java and be a fucking DBA at the same time.
You also need to provide an interface for users who don't understand sql, but needs to get numbers into an excel sheet.
Its too much work for one person, yet i am just one person.
ITT: General life advice
>something that would've helped you in the past
>things that you think other people should know
>what helps you in your day to day life
Also:
- questions that you might want to know for the future
- keep questions general
I want to ask a question about how to get my life back on track but doubt this would be the right thread
Don't think my questions deserves its own thread though
>>18032987
Ask away faggot, you just wasted a post
>>18032967
Good judgement is gained by making shit decisions.
I plan on meeting an older black man that I've talked to for a month for sex. I've never done anal and he's a monster. What should I expect and what should I prepare for?
He wants to do something either tonight or in a few hours.
>he's 46 I'm 19
>I'm a white guy
>>18032903
Prepare to be buried
>>18032906
Noted. I'll have my will present when I leave.
>>18032903
Lurkin'
Ok this might sound a bit complex. If I have a 16 year old gf in another country that would be in foster care and I'm 21. In both her and my country you can marry with at least 16 when one partner is an adult + the consent of guardians. Would it be possible that when I get a marriage cert in my country, fly to her, marry her in her country, take her back in my country and then validate marriage, that she gets the nationality of my country and can live with me?
>>18032892
You do not have a gf as the two of you have never met.
If you have the money, yes.
>>18032897
kek
>>18032900
Yeah I know it would cost quite a bit, but it's not more than a holiday.
What besides ramen noodles and $1 TV dinners make good budget meals?
Every time I go along with my parents shopping I see them often spending +$100 dollars on groceries and I look at it as just wasting money. I eat to live, not live to eat. I want to keep my food budget at about $40/week while I'm single.
>>18032842
If you eat to live you might not want to have ramen noodles as your main source of nutrition.
>>18032842
Find the cheapest veg, protein and complex carbs you can buy. Buy. Cook. Eat. Done
>eat to live, not live to eat
heh
$40/wk is doable but it's less efficient when you live alone. If you can bake try making lasagna and stuff to hold you over for a few dinners a week. Also pasta and put greens/eggs in you ramen.
