I'm always focused on my work in school
I only interact with my class to get work done and talk about work
I don't have small talk with people only a few moments of catch-up and sometimes just an acknowledgment nod.
I'd like to remain like this but more relaxed and easygoing.

I'm 27 and have this 24 year old female friend in grad school

She is a great person to hangout with, and I know she genuinely cares about me. She sends me I Miss you texts, bakes me food, and comes over to my apartment at least 3 times a week to hangout.
However she tends to lie to me, especially when she wants to cancel plans with me. This exact scenario has happened at least 10 times in the past month

work has been great up until this new hire from 3 months ago.
apparently, she has a bit of a history of causing trouble with others; mutuals of ours (they were in her class year and has worked with her before in her last job) have explained to me she has said racist remarks, tries to make others look bad in comparison to herself, brags about her wealth, and is just generally rude and unpleasant and managed to get hated by everyone.
it seems she's trying to get a fresh start at my company, but she's chosen to try to make me as miserable as possible while being sugary and wholesome in front of others.
so far, she has

the mutuals reccomended that i wait til she destroys herself because her toxic personality will eventually bleed out.
but she's making this so frustrating. i've also had enough people tell me that contacting HR would do me no good.

Ok guys this question has been on my mind for a LONG time.

What am I supposed to do? I never understand. My town really isn't the most eventful...and the events we do have are for older-folk (55+).
It's about an hour commute to any other city where events happen, but I'm not a huge advocate for long commutes.
I don't know. It's not like I don't want to go out and have fun/do something, it's just that there isn't anything around to DO.

What's your current height/weight? How active is your daily life/work? How many calories are you consuming and what are the macros like? Counting calories and proper nutrition is crucial to proper weight gain. Oh and it takes time to put on weight correctly. If you're putting on more than 1-2 pounds a week you're doing it wrong. I'd say for most people .5 pounds a week is more achievable if you want to put on good weight.
You should be hitting the gym now.
