hi everyone
im not hot enough to be able to get girls interested in me from an initial meeting (ie i have to spend like a couple of weeks warming them up with my personality or whatever). this doesnt work well as that time is too long and the girl usually meets some other hot guy so that knocks me out the game. so at the moment i usually just get girls drunk when i meet them at events or bars or whatever (im a 23 year old software eng btw, not in uni) which works (on specific girls) but is expensive
what can i do to cut down the convincing stage time? if i can reduce that theres much less chance of chad coming in so that should make things a lot better. btw dont say 'lift' because 1. its not actually that effective 2. i am already trim 3. i dont have two years to wait

So...
There's young girl I was pleased to meet on a party three weeks ago. She is two years younger. The party was nice, I was focused on her and suprisingly she was focused on me... I fucking did it you guys. Yesterday I made a thread saying how I would be taking a girl on a date that I have liked for like 5 years now. Extreme case of limerence. or whatever.
Long story short. My mission was a success. My goal was to break this fuckign curse on me. I drove 45 mins in a snow storm to her house. Picked her up, went to lunch and this little coffee shop. Took her back home and asked her how she felt about me.
She does like me back and does want to date me but she wants to take it slow because she had just gotten out of a rough long term relationship with some dude that moved to europe. I had no idea she was in a relationship before. SHe never told me.
Anyway, she wants to take dating slowly which I get. I have never been in a relationship so I can't even try to imagine how she feels.
However, this date allowed me to actually see her flaws. Before, through those 5 years, I was blinded. She seemed like this amazing goddess from the sky. Perfect in every way. However now.. i see her flaws. She is not very assertive, Indecisive and she also doesn't tell her true feelings a lot.
I still would go out with her but I am not waiting on her anymore. Before I wouldn't even date other women because I wanted to be available for her. Now, I am probably going to date other women and if she wants to date me, we still can but if I end up getting a different girlfriend... then its her loss. I can't be arsed to putz around like this anymore.
Long story short, I am over her and will still go out with her time to time if she wants but I am not holding out for her. Fuck that.

The nightmare is over boys. I feel so much more free now that I know how she feels about me. Before it was this blanket of fog. Now there is full clarity. A new chapter in my life starts now.

So I guess to properly explain myself I'll have to rewind to september 2016. I'm still in high school, and we have one mandatory art class per week. The class is organized so there are 4 students per table. Being me, I get there 5 mins late so every place is already assigned, except one.
So at my table I got two betas, and I don't mean to be rude, but I'm still baffled by the things I hear from them to this day. There is also that one girl which I recognize, since it's my last year of High School**, and I am used to see the same faces for the last 4 years. She's usually quiet and I guess she's a loner, since I don't recall seeing her with her friends. Hell, at the time I didn't even know if she had friends.
So I don't pay much attention to the situation and carry on with my work. One day, this conversations sparks up.
"So Anon, where are you going next year?"
" I planned going to *********."
And at that very moment the girl looks at me with wide eyes and tells me "You too?" She asks me if I'd like to go with her to College next year, since we're studying in similar programs. Being mildly confused by the situation, I accept. She progressively opens up to me, add me on some social medias, share some of her drawings with me and even tells me about her family issues.
Fast forward to last week, I'm on Pinterest and I find her profile. She told me she had an account and showed me some of her pins, but I never really paid attention to them. Being the bastard I am, I start roaming through her account.
Turns out she is a huge weeb. I have never seen so much anime pics and quotes in one account. With Valentines Day approaching, I've got some signals from her indicating that she might be interested in me. My friends are nearly screaming at me to back out of this, but I'd feel bad to leave her alone. I suspect that she will act on Valentines Day.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I do need advice.
I'm not sure if anyone has experienced something like this, but basically, I have an occasional attraction to the same gender as me, as in it comes and goes, some days naked (in my case) men repulse me, sometimes they "interest" me.
The problem is I have never gotten more than a "half-chub", i.e. never become fully erect over the same gender, but I still feel some "attraction". Before about 6 months ago I only felt attraction towards women.
It should be noted that I have depression and anxiety, and my libido is very low, so I don't know if that will effect it?

We had a 16 and a half year old dog who passed about 2 months ago. He was around my cat's entire life, and though they weren't particularly close, I'm sure it's still a change.
Ever since he died, my cat's been misbehaving. He's peeing outside the litterbox and yowling mostly. He's lost some weight, though we believe that's just because the dog would free eat while we had to put the cat on a schedule or else he'd just eat himself to death. He would usually eat the dog food at night while we were't watching, but now that the dog's gone he's only been eating what he's supposed to.
Idk what to do, if he really is acting up because the dog's gone, or what his problem is if not. We tried getting him another litter box to help with the peeing, he's still going in other places though. Hell, I caught the lil shit trying to piss in the pantry and as soon as I walked up to him, he walked over near his box, but not before sniffing around the duffel bags on the floor until I shooed him off from there too. Then he finally pissed in the box.
Idk what to do about his crying though.
Do we just wait this out, same as any other grieving process?

Alright, I was thinking that if it is grief he'll probably go through the process like any human would, but he just doesn't have the capability to talk it out like we do.
I feel real bad for him, it's been the absolute worst timing. We're getting ready to move halfway across the country. So the peeing thing is kinda killing our chances at selling the house lol. But damn, it was already gonna be hard on him moving to a new place, and he's got this on top of it all.
I think we're gonna take him to the vet tomorrow to make sure it's nothing physical.

Break up is imminent. I know I'm going to be a mess and even just getting through the day will be difficult.

You'll get over it in a few months depending on what type of person you are. I'd pick up exercising if you're not doing that already. Jogging can help quite a lot and will steer you away from falling into a heavy depression. I know what it feels like, it's shit. I'm sorry that it went this way for you but you'll meet someone and you'll feel like this was all for the best. Trust me, you'll be a greater and happier person in the end.

Its quite a hellish road for a while depending on time spent together and how much you loved them but like most things you get over it eventually.
Took me about 2-3 months to be legitimately happy again after my last break up, before that I was a zombie just going through the motions. Initially I was crying every second day and didn't really eat or do any of the things that used to make me happy.
I found what helped me was getting outside by myself and going for walks in the sun, just time to reflect on anything and everything that was bothering me. Spend time with friends in between when you start to feel lonely but also make sure to get some alone time to grieve.
It sucks but it does get better, much better. You eventually will realise it was for the best, if it was meant to be then it would be.
I'm at the stage now where even if they reached out and wanted to try again I would decline because the time spent apart has made me realise and grow a lot. There is a silver lining in that you do become stronger from it, its a learning experience most people have to go through.

None of it did any good and looking back, I'm ashamed I acted like that, especially over some fat, lying, douchebag guy that wasn't worth a fraction of that sort of misery and behavior.
I'd say keep in mind that you will get over it one day and you're going to have to look back on your behavior from a more sober standpoint one day. Crying and being miserable is fine. Losing months and months of your life being a pathetic basketcase is not.
