>discover I'm too dumb and hate math
>struggle with Calc I
>already three weeks and can't stand having to learn more stupid BS that is not usefull to games
>thinking of quitting my major

I'm a humanities and art guy, not some STEM nerd.

I guess I should cancel Calculus I and then focus on passing the other classes, so I can start to study the literature classes.

I rather become a literature major and die starving than study math.

If you have that much of an issue cleaning yourself, try adding more fiber to your diet.

I graduate undergrad in less than 3 months and I've started looking for jobs. The problem is, many would require me to move out of my parent's home. This is great, but the problem is I have no start up money to pay for a month of rent, utilities, security deposit, food, etc. while I wait for my first few paychecks to arrive.

How do I get myself set up in a new place without this start up money? Relocation is virtually non-existent since I'm entry level.

Go to a bank and ask for a small personal loan and explain your situation. You will most likely be approved if you state you will be receiving x amount per week.
>>
>>18070797
Alternatively you could ask family members for a loan up front to cover your moving costs. Or sell some of your stuff if you have anything of value. Depending on how desperate you are, there are more creative (read: not illegal) options. Though your best bet by far is the suggestion of the first poster.
>>
>>18070797
I was in your same situation a year ago - no wait, still am. I hope you like working retail to pay off loans and save so you can move to get a better job so you can start your career in your late 20s.

This weekend, my boyfriend of several years sat down to talk with me and tell me he isn't sure if he's happy in our relationship anymore. He said that he "thinks" he is. We didn't fight or anything, but it obviously wasn't a happy conversation, and we spent the next several hours doing things separately in our apartment.

That evening, he apologized and said he is happy with me and wants to keep our relationship going, he's just stressed about school. He was recently injured and hasn't been able to work out or play sports like he usually does for the past few weeks, and when I suggested that maybe that was contributing to his feeling down, he said it might be.

Do you /adv/isers think I have any reason to be concerned? The past couple days have been fine between us, but during the years we've been together, he's never once sat me down to talk like that or hinted that he's unhappy with our relationship. The last thing I want is for him to talk himself out of breaking up with me if that's what he really wants; I'd rather be both be free to find happiness than keep him in something he doesn't want. Should I bring this up again or leave it be for now?

Other:
>on his phone a lot but never secretive about it
>changed his phone lock to fingerprint detection instead of only password even though I never even knew his password
>isn't as interested in sex with me lately
I'm trying not to read too much into these things and genuinely don't think he's cheating on me, but maybe I'm being naive.

>>
>>18070758

I don't think it sounds like he's cheating on you, just that he's being honest that some of the flame has gone out of the relationship. I've never been in a relationship over multiple years, so take it with a grain of salt, but I think it's mature of him to point out that there's issues in the relationship so you two can address them and maybe work them out together.

There's a concern you two break up for sure, but you should at least see if it's worth keeping.
>>
>>18070762
I genuinely don't think that's the case. We split our responsibilities evenly and try to do nice things for each other pretty regularly. If anything, he's the one who's become more likely to ignore me during the time we have together to go play video games over the last several months. But even though I don't think this is the problem, I'll consider it and will work on being more attentive where I might be lacking.

>blue collar
>healthier

this is not really the case. a LOT of blue collar people die young due to health conditions. every jobs different but a lot of them are at least exposed to building materials and the like that arent healthy to breathe in over the course of thirty years, it works your body to the bone on a daily basis, and because of all the hard work your impulse control is a lot lower.

someone who's spent the whole day lifting shit is more likely to binge eat unhealthily which is why you see a lot of fatties in the field, and even those wiht impulse control tend to just be too exhausted in their home life to maintain healthy habits.

working in an office means not feeling like shit just because you didn't get enough sleep the night before.

working in an office means coming home and having energy for your wife and kids instead of feeling like you exist simply to lift shit. working in an office means only needing to exercise as much as necessary, meaning you ahve enough energy to hit the fucking gym afterwards.

white collar offers more freedom as a whole which allows you to maintain your life outside of wokr a lot better.

blue collar just works you to the bone for not so great pay.

perhaps im biased cuz i manage a business.
>>
>>18070643
I work a blue collar job doing HVAC and I love it. Nothing like coming home dirty and sweaty and tired, washing the fiberglass insulation and dust off my skin, taking a hot shower, and getting a beer at the bar down the street.

But I'm 27, we'll see how I feel when I'm 50.

With very hard work jobs, then yes, it can put a strain

HOWEVER

You will be physically FIT and STRONG, WAY more so than some office cuck.

>and because of all the hard work your impulse control is a lot lower.
Sorry how the fuck is this a bad thing?

>working in an office means not feeling like shit just because you didn't get enough sleep the night before.
As a former office worker who never got enough sleep, you are completely and utterly wrong

And in fact, I slept WAY WAY WAY better when I had a job in a factory, than when I had a job in an office.

>working in an office means coming home and having energy for your wife and kids instead of feeling like you exist simply to lift shit.
Again, entirely false, office jobs can be debilitating and shit. They sap your MENTAL energy rather than your physical energy.

>working in an office means only needing to exercise as much as necessary
You mean, being an unhealthy, weak fatass.

>meaning you ahve enough energy to hit the fucking gym afterwards.
I used to go to the gym after my office job - it meant I was busy the entire fucking day and never had energy to do things that I enjoyed for myself. In a blue collar job, work IS a workout. You'll get WAY stronger lifting things all day, every day, than forcing yourself to do it after work.

>white collar offers more freedom as a whole which allows you to maintain your life outside of wokr a lot better.
This is complete bullshit. Blue collar, you go to work, you do your work, then you come home, and you're free. White collar, people are always managing their emails and other bullshit outside of work times.

>Answered ad on Craigslist to be a Dispatch Coordinator
>Had no idea what it meant, but thought it was like some typing thing, so I applied
>Weeks later, forget about it, get an email saying they have a vacancy
>Basically, I'm gonna get a paycheck every week, subtract $300 from it as my pay and wire the rest to somewhere else
>And that's it, I get paid $300/week just to wire money

The check just came in, it's legit. The company exists (though no mention of dispatch coordinator anywhere on the website), it seems that its to purchase office supplies sort of like an eBay store or something, they're emailing me (with a lot of typos) and texting me to keep in contact. It seems real and legit, but it feels weirdly illegal and too good to be true. What do?

You are participating in fraud. You are the guy who's going to get buttfucked by the government while the company mysteriously disappears, and they track the fraud back to your bank account.

Why do people fall for this shit? Isn't "too good to be true" common sense?

So I have been dating my gf for three months now and we found out today that she is going to another college than I. I really like her and we agree on pretty much everything politically, religiously and I can be myself around her without feeling awkward. I don't want to lose her but I also am not sure if I want to do a longdistance relationship. She says she's down for going longdistance and I know she won't cheat since I'm her first ever bf and she's autistic around other guys. Her school will only be 3 hours away from mine. Should I do it or not?

>>
LDRs aren't usually successful... Of course, it might keep your relationship with her going for a little bit but everyone I know who has tried to make that work has failed. But you could try seeing each other every week and skyping or something like that?
>>
>>18070626
If you want to try, go ahead. But don't get your hopes up. If it doesn't seem like she's putting in enough effort, or if she joins a sorority, dump her on the spot.

I don't love my family or my girlfriend. I don't feel anything about other people except that they annoy me. I need to get away, to be on my own, but I can't afford it. More and more I've been entertaining thoughts of suicide because I can't envision a future where I'm doing something I enjoy with people I enjoy; I lack the guts to go through with it, but I do find myself fixating obsessively on this.

I understand these are trademark symptoms of depression, but it's been like this my whole life. What do I do? Who do I talk to? What options are available for creating a future that's tolerable at the very least?

Chin ups and watch your caloric intake

Also, posture is a big factor
>>

I've been trying with my calorie intake
Posture is decent, my sitting is meh but if I fix it will it help burn the chin down a little or will it just make it look smaller?
>>
>>18070452
A proper posture will make your double chin worse or better.

There's no quick fix just reduce overall body fat and do chin ups.
