Ok so i have been in this new relationship with a girl and im in love with her and she's in love with me. She is a very busy person who has alot of places to be so i can only really see her 2-4 times a week. Hello /adv/! For once I have a question that isn't related to heartache and existential misery.
Recently, I found the perfect job and sent my application, working part time in a recording studio for a non-profit organisation. I have a bachelor's degree in audio production, but I have never worked in a studio environment outside of my school and a homerecording setup I have, thinking I should focus on stage production instead due to there being more opportunities in that field where I live. Now I fear my resumé will look like I'm just not qualified for the job.
I heard that if you show up at the door and talk to the people personally, it increases your chances because it shows your determination, so I was thinking about doing that tomorrow. However I already sent my application and I'm not sure if that would seem really odd to them because it's costumary for the employer to invite applicants for a personal interview. On top of that, I live in Switzerland, where it appears that people feel invaded if you are too straightforward.
I really, really want to nail this, /adv/. I can't approach it with the casual "if it works, great, if not, then okay" attitude, I really want to make all the right steps here.

Hello annons,
6 months ago my ex broke up with me because so-called "character differences". I was a lovely, nice, full of love person towards her. I was supporting her no matter what. After some talks I asked her to block me on FB and not unblocking me back unless she wants to figure things out (so I have no temptation to stalk her on FB). Two days ago (after 2 months no contact) I saw that she unblocked me and now she poked me on FB... I was kind of done with her, because I respects her decision and did not thing to bother her again with all that stuff... I hanging out with one girl right now that seems pretty into me (she is even coming to watch a movie with me to my place today). However I do feel like there is something missing in that "relation". Right now when my ex "came back", I have no idea what to do, what if she somehow wants to contact me, however she is hastitating because of the things that were said back during the meeting (like: I don't want to repeat it now). However her cousing told me that at some point she said that "If somehow our paths bind together at some point I would not mind coming back to him". What should I do annons, I do not want to be the one to start trying to rebuild the relation with my ex agiain. I would prefere her to do the first step. But I do know that my ex is a shy and careful person with what she is doing and I do know she would not unblock me unless she thought something serious about me...

Do lecturers/staff at university generally view it as a meme and roll their eyes if you attempt to play the mental health card?
I've been struggling at uni tremendously recently - I constantly feel unsafe and under threat and that people are plotting to ruin me, and have become intensely private and anti-social. My sleep cycle is fucked and I've unironically started having moments where I laugh hysterically to myself and feel giddy. When I'm not feeling that way, I feel almost drugged up - numb, mellow, and sedated. I constantly have neurotic thoughts about pretty much everything, and go from happy and content to wall-punchingly angry pretty much every day.

Long story short I've had braces for 2+ years and to finish the treatment I would need jaw surgery.
However I really don't like the idea of it and I would also like to join the military soon.
Has anyone ever refused jaw surgery? I honestly hate the idea of it now it's closer than ever.

yeah, i was scheduled to get it when i was younger, i refused outright, kicked and cried, etc. doctors made sure to remind me my teeth would only be straightened and touch, and that I wouldn't have a proper overbite
I didn't care, didn't want surgery and pain from it.
I refused ,I'm good, i have a gf, I'm going to school, have friends. I don't think it matters unless you have pug levels of underbite

starting about 3 years ago, i started to develop a very strong subconscious fear of relationships and general intimacy
there was a girl in my life who would occasionally give off very clear signals of interest but i would deflect them because i was afraid of what people might think if they saw us together, and yet at the same time i would get incredibly jealous and depressed when i saw her with other guys
if i'm crushing on a girl this fear will start to physically effect me, i choke up when i see them, sometimes get tremors and often have to vomit or dry heave if it gets particularly intense - it's like where people usually get butterflies in their stomach, i just get this horrible onset of dread and the immediate urge to escape
these physical symptoms are a very large part of why i pathologically avoided the aforementioned girl for so long. most times i actually met up with her in real life i would have to overcome a ridiculous amount of nerves to avoid having to go puke (and most times i failed)
does anyone at all have any advice? i've been considering therapy but i don't really know how to go about it (and i haven't had a crush in over a year so there's no way to really measure if i'm progressing)
any recommended reading would be greatly appreciated
