The truth of the matter is that men and women are just DIFFERENT. There are some discussions where you'll just find unexpected gaps in common ground, or even a shared understanding of reality. Our brains are wired differently, we see the world differently, we live our lives differently.

I'm reluctant to say one is "better" and one is "worse," because I honestly have met, socialized, and worked with many smart, capable, effective women in my life. I've met stupid women too, and stupid men, and smart men.

But there definitely are differences. There are issues where most men can find common ground that most women will never understand, and vice versa. That's why conflicts/arguments between men and women can get so frustrating - at a certain point you realize we're really not speaking the same language

If your relationship can handle the strain, pick up a second job in something like retail. The pay isn't that great, but as long as you're a good worker and (most importantly) reliable, you can pretty much set your own schedule.

I'm 30, was a retail manager for the last 7 years which has done me well for the job experience cycle, and I'm going back to school to get a degree to make the money. I changed jobs to a front end salesman and I'm making about $22/hr now, If I step up to ASM in this company I'll be making $65k annual vs. the $45k I was making as a GM with my last company.
