Hello, /adv/.
When I was in my senior year in High School I started to study psychology so I could better understand myself. I had contact with buddhist psychology, esoteric currents, jungian and some Freud. Hence I joined a psychology course where I live (which is Rio de Janeiro).
As some of you may know, Brazil is in some sort of political and financial upheaval. My teachers are not receiving their payment, and this has been for a little more than six months. So they're on a worker's strike and the college is not functioning.
But I've joined psychology out of self interest, and not so much out of love for the possibility of working with it. I still like psychology, but so that I may better understand myself and people around me, not as something I would like to work with.
Since I'm not studying in college, I've been studying stuff at home. Mostly, computer-related. Linux and programming, at most, but I've got a lot of passion for geometry. Thing is, I also like languages. I study Hebrew, and I would find it interesting to be a teacher of Portuguese.
The thing is, Physics and everything related to it gives me the bombs, I love everything related to it, and it is related to almost everything I study on my on my free time. But I find it weird, the idea of becoming a physics professor. Yet, as I may enjoy the idea of being a professor in Portuguese, the course itself doesn't give me that much wonder.
So I'm in doubt.
What do you think?

I think teaching is what I would like to do the most. I teach English in a course in my city and all. I love it, I just think English isn't the ultimate subject for me to enjoy.

If you have an enormous passion for physics, then you just might be the perfect person to teach that (as you mentioned you like teaching). I'd say as long as passion drives you, this would be your best shot.
And if that doesn't work, do not stress this out, try something else. You have plenty of time to start again.

But we still have one more problem the crying and getting mad by them, this is the third secret i am trying to find out how to stop trying to impress the puppet klan and how to stop crying while you are with them and stop to be mad too..
I am pretty sure that the third secret is about some drug, i am weak mentally as fuck but i am sure there is some drug that can stop my tears and can make me stop to impress her, 4chan lets find out what is this drug that can destory completley the retard puppet klan if we can make every nerd to ignore them and not trying to impress them we won the fucking war!

One of my Dads friends has invited me to go shooting in a couple of weeks with his shotguns.
If I go, I certainly wont be coming back. This is my chance.
The last 3 years of my life have been a hellish downward spiral despite every attempt to better myself. I lost the girl i was going to spend my life with. I lost my chance at my dream job. I lost all my savings, my home, my friends... everything.
The only reasons why I haven't done this already is what it would do to my parents, and I haven't had the balls or means to use any other traditional method.
Im currently being seen by doctors 3 times a week on home visit to help me get out of this. But despite all the medication and therapy, Im losing what little hope I have left. I have no will to live anymore, I gave my life my best shot and failed miserably. There is no reason for me to keep going on.
I feel bad for my parents, mainly because of how much of a failure Ive turned out to be, but also because they are going to lose their only son. I also feel bad for the guy who is going to have to deal with my suicide. But I've had enough. Its too much to take.
I dont want to do this, but I dont know what to do otherwise.

I heard about a week, maybe a week.5 ago, that my cousin got into a car accident with her boyfriend (I didn't know she even had one). It turns out her injuries are more serious than thought and I just found out that they needed to cut open her neck and put a tube in it for some reason for surgery. I have not seen her since I was a child, and only seen her a few times then. I don't really feel anything but the usual "that really sucks, hope they get better" feeling I get from anyone else I hear about. Is this normal since I have not seen her for such a long time, and barely at all?
I'm turning 20, so it has been that long.

My dad once called me to tell me my cousin had died, but he didn't specify which one. I have some cousins who I haven't seen since childhood and I have some cousins who are like brothers and sisters, so I froze and felt panic starting to creep up on me.

I am not close to anyone in my family, and never had any close friends, I just moved away from everyone I became friends with and never got to see family as much as I should have. When I heard that my great grandfather died, I had to feeling for it, even though I saw him a few times that year, but I still barely even saw him in my lifetime.

Hey guys, I (19) have a complex situation and I would be thankful for any helpful advice.
Well, first of all, I have a girlfriend (22) and a best female friend (19) who, even if she is really close to me, doesn't know that I have a girlfriend. It really isn't that I wanted to keep my best friend on the hook, becoming a girlfriend just isn't a thing I wanted to burst out as some other guys do, since I don't think that it's something THAT special to tell the people.
However, it happens that my prom will be next week and I'm going to dance with my best friend which my girlfriend knows about.
I would probably spend the night with my friends and the best female friend (which are two different groups), so I don't know whether I should also invite my girlfriend who knows nobody.
My problem is that my best friend might be disappointed that I haven't told her anything about my girlfriend and she is also going to make her hairs curly because of my request.
Besides, it might be uncomfortable and I wouldn't be able to spend the last time to probably see all my friends together as I would do without my girlfriend.
