What is the best time to move out of my parents house? How much money do I need?
I'm a kissless virgin, 21 with $20 000 in index funds and ~$6000 cash. I don't want to live with my parents anymore.
>>18205825
>I'm a kissless virgin, 21
Totally fucking irrelevant
>How much
Start looking around online at apartments in your area, figure how much a month's rent will be at the place you like, find out what their initial deposit is, then figure out how much you'll need to bring in to keep the place. Figure out how much food is going to cost you, just generally what your expenses are, and pay your parents back for your 3 years of free room if you weren't paying rent already. I'm doing pretty much the same thing right now.
>>18205825
>what is the best time to move out of my parents house?
when you can financially support yourself at the level of comfort you desire for the foreseeable future, or in the case of moving to a new location where your job wont carry over, at least 6 months is ideal.
what are index funds?

They are a passive investing meme
Ite guys, I can't into women, and during the time this happened, I was high as shit, so my sign interpretation skills weren't the best
>heading to camp with uni group
>this chick strikes up a convo with me
>chill with her pretty much all the way there
>get to residences, go into room, toss my bag on one of two beds next to each other
>"you mind if I sleep next to you?"
>absolutely not
>proceed to get on okay terms with her
>we realize it's quite cold in the room in the evening, so I jokingly suggest we may have to sleep together
>she smiles and does the "you gotta do what you gotta do" motion
>some time passes
>she's having a spat with one of our roommates, and they start pelting each other with tiny stones, and some land on my bed, so once again I play the "if you fuck my bed up, I'll have to sleep in yours" card
>she grins at me and places more rocks on my bed
>but then some time after also says "I could sleep in the bathroom then"
>lol fugof
>first night, I woke up to her arm brushing against mine, and she just left in there
>then she moves around a little, then places her entire arm across mine
>its on
>shift my hand around so her hand is in mine
>she keeps moving and people come into the room, so I know she's not asleep, and then like an hour later she takes her hand and turns over
>next night, I told her I was kinda cold and asked if I could move up to her
>sure
>started spooning, put my arm around her, she didn't mind
>then eventually she turned over
>lay in my arms with her head on my chest for a while
>then turned over, back to spooning, then fell asleep
>make no mention of this whatsoever later, just sort of act like that's natural
Cont
>decide to ask her out on the way back
>she says "we could, just not now, because I'm full"
>we indeed just ate with the team like 5 mins ago
>tram arrives, she gets on, she leaves
Plot twist:
>overhear her talking to her friend about how she would want to get back with her ex, that she'd go to his city if the guy wanted a date, etc etc
>find out they broke up 6 months ago, and she kinda wants to get back together (?) but not really sure about it
So my question is, what the fuck? What is this supposed to mean? So are we on or off or what, someone help me
she just wants a nice fuck and you should given it to her
She still has strong feelings for her ex, but she finds you attractive enough to fuck. Don't expect or even attempt to date this chick unless you know for sure she isn't still into her ex. Even then, it's a red flag type situation.
Just bone her until you both move on, and don't get attached. Start talking to other chicks to keep your mind off her and prevent attachment.
how can i be in love with her if she's so shallow selfish and stupid?
just jerk off
>>18205659
You're not in love, you're just thirsty as fuck and the cocktail of sex and bonding hormones in your head are tricking you.
>>18205659
because you have a predetermined image of your life together with that person already conjured up in your brain and you think that's how it's supposed to be
but there are other people out there, a lot of them
How do you chase a girl? I feel like I have never actively chased someone, my past relationships either the girl has chased me or it was mutual from the beginning.
There is this girl I like, I added her on facebook and messaged her, she seems pretty responsive and happy to chat, since then I have messaged her on two other occasions in the span of about 9 days and both time she has been responsive. I'm at the stage now where I kind of want to see if she will initiate if I abstain for a while, is this a good idea? Or should I keep messaging her every now and then to gauge her interest further. I mean if she likes me somewhat by now I feel like she should make some effort, or am I being idealistic here.
you could just ask her out to hang out like a date
>>18205652
Yeah I'm working towards that, she's on holidays at the moment for a few weeks so I thought I'd wait until she gets back to ask her out.
>>18205783
well good
My ex left me 6 months ago after 3 years in relation, we saw each other for the last time around 4 months ago...Few days ago I have heard that she is already dating some guy... I find it very hard to find anybody else at the moment, I am not completly over her, but I know there is no sense to come back to her... Today I saw her on the street chilling on the bench... I could feel like my world is callapsing, I just wanted to hide somewhere so I don't see her and she doesn't see me. I get this feeling, that it was very easy for her to get over me, and that she will do much better without me and that she will get much more without me. While I get this impression that I am condemned for total failure and loneliness and unhappy life comparing to her... I have a goals in my life, and I started to working on myself and my body... But those thoughts are stuck in my head... plz help...
Do you have any friends, mate?
>>18205648
yeah I do bro... but... idk, of course when I am among friends I am not thinking about that shit, but whenever I have nothing to do this idea just bother my fucking head...
>>18205641
Go out with your friends, meet a new girl.
Is cheating in a relationship ever ok? I have a very "liberal" gf who complains about me being jealous, and now i have the opportunity of fucking a 9/10 girl but i don't want to do it because of her.
What do you think, am i missing an opportunity or i'm doing the right thing?. I often hear people cheat a lot, but for me it just doesn't feel right, just the sole thought of a girl offering me to cheat my girlfriend makes me think really bad about that person
>>18205562
>but for me it just doesn't feel right
you have your answer
>>18205568
That's my personal opinion man, i just want to hear other opinions, contrast answers on why yes, why not, and so on.
I'm not planning to cheat at all because i'm a loyal person, but if someone think cheating is right i want to hear why.
>Is cheating in a relationship ever ok?
Why do you think it's called "cheating"? It's like in a test, anon, if you cheat you're doing it wrong.
If she says it's ok then it's not really cheating. It's just a different test where the teacher lets you see the answers.
>tfw messaged about twenty 50+ year old women on dating site
>none are interested
It has worked once a few years ago. Fucked a hot as fuck 52 year old a few times.
I'm 30, lawyer, black hair and pretty fit... just not very tall, though. But still, I only message those shorter than me.
I figured I'd be more of a catch the older I got...
advice?
>dating site
Watch youtube guides for the site(s) of your choice. Also, step up your non-computer game.

why 50+ old women though?
50+ year old women usually want something stable, me thinks
Hello /adv/,
I am having connection errors when posting so I am sorry for the repost, just having huge anxiety towards this issue.
My GF's mother is moving out way too far from where we currently live and I want to get an apartment for her so she could continue her studies and work peacefully. She is the only friend I have and I don't want to be departed from her because of other people's shit.
I am looking to rent an apartment with my girlfriend.
Here is the rundown:
>I just finished school and started a new job making 17$/h for 40hrs a week
>She makes 13$/h for 30hrs a week
>The rent costs 780$/month
>we don't have new cars or anything to pay monthly aside from cellphone bills and bus/subway passes.
>both of us make 45k/year combined and rent would cost 10k/year
I always paid my credit card but I have a student loan of 5k which I always paid interest in full, was struggling going to school and working part time to feed myself and pay tuition so I couldn't pay my loan correctly and it hasn't moved much from that 5k over 3 years..
We just signed a consent letter that's letting the person do a credit check on me.
What are the chances that I am refused?
Me and gf co-signed.
Thanks

as long as your other finances are in order, like your eating habits and transportation are taken care of, then you should be in the green dude.
Race on job applications?
Im not sure what to put or what can I put. I'm white(European) and middle eastern(Iran). The middle eastern is through a DNA test and is probably way back. I have a white name and look completely White.
I'm not sure if it would help me get a job if I put two races, since I always put white, male down and I feel like that isn't helping me.
Just say white, bro.
Adding in that you're anything else other than maybe Asian will probably hurt more than help.
If you aren't getting hired, maybe you just need to increase your marketability or something
>>18205474
Race is what others see you as.
Ethnicity is what you culturally identify as.
I am half Cuban and I was raised with Hispanic culture, but I look white as fuck.
My race is white. My ethnicity is hispanic.
>job application
>race
Wut.
>Have to talk to random people to make friends
Let's say I somehow do this, there are plenty of people at my uni. But something still confuses me - someone always has to be the one of two to start the conversation, right? But if I'm not the one to do it, I will never talk to a single person because nobody ever approaches me. I'm not particularly ugly, I don't smell, I wear okay clothes. But if I don't start the conversation nobody will start one with me.
Also there's another thing - how do I go from a normal conversation to being friends with somebody? When I go out of my way to tak to people and so on, but it never goes past that, how do I socialize out of these small conversations, get invited etc.? Fuck, I don't even want to have friends I'm just curious how it's done. Is it all done over facebook or something? And what do these people even do in their free time with each other?
>>18205379
"Let's hangout sometime"
>>18205381
What does that mean? Do what?
Standing out. You need to seem interesting to the other party.
What kind of interests do you have? Why not try to join a group or club based on those?
Taking a girl out for drinks in a few days. I'll pick her up at college in the evening, head someplace that offers drinks and "get to know each other better" as we've been promising all week.
We're close friends and since I caught feelings we decided to try dating. We're both booked all the time, so I picked this day randomly to do whatever came to mind. So drinks it is.
Thing is, I have no experience with drink-dates in the evening, or experience with nightlife at all. I don't know any romantic places in the area, let alone any places at all. On top of that, she doesn't like alcohol and last time we did something remotely similar in a group setting, all she had were cokes.
As for experience with nightlife: she's slightly more social than I am, but not that outgoing either.
She was still eager to go. Good thing I guess, but I'm completely drawing a blank on how to make this a fun night. Any advice?
If she doesn't like alcohol why take her to a bar? Smh
>>18205388
Well, what's the first thing to come to your mind if you're booked all week apart from the end of a long work day?
Anyone?
What do I do when I fall in love with someone but am in a relationship? Just realized it this morning.
>>18205341
Kill that feeling ya dummy
>>18205341
You break up, and pursue the person you love.
Also realize there is at least a 50% chance you don't actually love this other person, and you just want to get out of your current relationship.
>>18205341
cut that shit out
And by that shit, I mean any and all intimate contact with the other woman
She is not "your soul mate". You are just experiencing the excitement of a new potential relationship.
Is Planet Fitness good if it's the only gym in your area that you can afford?
Looking for a place to get some free weights in.
>>18205290
What do you mean by good? Gyms are just places with a bunch of heavy objects that people lift up and down. If you're starting to work-out, do some body weight exercises and see if you can maintain that for a while. Most people who start working out give up a week or two later.
>>18205290
Planet Fitness is fine for basic physical fitness, cardio, and novice weight lifting. Keep in mind that they have their "lunk alarm" system to make the gym less intimidating, meaning that if you're dropping weights or doing anything that makes you grunt you run the risk of being asked to stop or leave.
Its fine for getting yourself into a routine, and if all you want is cardio and some light weight work for toning you'll be happy. If you eventually get into more serious weight training you'll outgrow Planet Fitness, but if it comes to that you'll likely be in a place where you're willing to either pay more money or expand what you consider to be your area.
>>18205290
They are often extremely dirty. I have video of my local PF with the employee straight up scrubbing the footholds of an elliptical with a Swiffer duster, then scrubbing the panel where you touch. Look around for a local equivalent with heavier weights and a better community where you won't be working out with the kind of people who pay $10 a month to work out. My YMCA is only 30 and has a dedicated freeweight room, a fitness center with cardio and strength machines, two swimming pools, an indoor track, three indoor tennis courts, and a multipurpose facility with basketball, pickleball, etc. The head coach from the local high school works out there and he can go work out for free at the damn high school. Go give it a try.
So, here is my story:
I met a girl on my college half a year ago. We have the same major so we are constantly at the same lectures. The second time we talked I knew i'd fall for her. And I did. Now we started talking more and more, to the point where we talk all the time both online and in person. We came to a conclusion that we are very similar (ways of thinking) and we have a lot of the same interests. Naturaly, I realised i am falling in love for this girl. The problem is, that one of my friends told me that this girl has a boyfriend. So tehnicaly I am in a friend zone. However, that girl never told me about that boyfriend even though we talk all the time. It sound strange. Btw, she is very close to me and touches me when we talk, grabs my hand in the street and all the other small things girlfriends do, so that confuses me. she even told me that I made her birthday even more better that i think. etc. Now, i am having trouble telling her about my feelings. I want to tell her how I feel, but I am afraid of the answer that I already know (her boyfriend). However I am also scared to stop being friends with her cause she makes my days and inspires me on so many levels. Is there a way out of this? Any advice would be appriciated. Thanks!
You already came to the conclusion that you have 2 options to go with. So choose one! Not doing anything about it is no option because it will leave you with bad feelings all the time. If you will stay in the friend zone at least be proud about yourself being real and doing what you thought was best
>>18205125
You sitated my life.. Asshole..
But I guess you should just go for it anyways
>>18205139
