I have got a job which I basically lied to get, assuming all my paperwork would come back and I'd have my license by the time it started. Onsite training starts Monday of the following week and I will need to move ideally by the middle of the week. As I'm very lucky to have yhis job and I'm in too deep with lies. Self harm may be very irrational but I've discounted many other options I'm considering feigning or actually giving myself a healable injury which would give me more time to get everything lined up. Trying to think of something that's targeted, so after some days I can still drive and with low risk of other injuries, and something that is swift and difficult to puss out of. Jumping from a ladder onto my off-leg for instance risks blowing out a joint.

I have a traffic question. Any lawfags/cops around?
I was on a state freeway, and there was a gaggle of parked cars and a tow truck on the roadside. Likely an accident. It looked like they were all out of the way (and they were, because most people stayed in the right lane) but I moved over anyway. I thought I had room; the guy behind me in that lane didn't think so. They got close and took a picture of my license. I looked up our state's FAQ and traffic reporting form, but I don't have a clear idea of what to expect for some guy filling out a form and saying he got cut off. Thoughts?

So a friend of mine has been trying to hook me up with this girl for a few months now, saying we're perfect for each other and everything. We eventually got together a few weeks back in a bit of a group thing with some other friends, she's cool but I can tell our personal beliefs are vastly different which is a big turn-off in regards to relationships for me.
But my friend was telling me that she's crazy for me or something along those lines so she wanted me to have her #. She texts me and we chat for a bit and she said shed text me later so I wait a day and nothing so I message her. 3 days later no response and it's driving me crazy.
Not really much of an advice post but im desperate to vent somewhere about it. If someone's got comments about how to interpret this situation, im certainly no veteran in texting girls or relationships or anything like that which makes things worse.

Committed a very serious crime a couple of years ago and considering turning myself in out of guilt / shame.
Could potentially do up to 14 years, but I'll probably do around 6.
Should I do it? I'll have to give away my dog and my family will probably be devastated, but I want the person I hurt to feel closure.
At the same time though, I can't help but feel like it'd be selfish for me to do this, like it would just be to make me feel better about myself.
I feel like it shouldn't be a hard decision to turn yourself in if you're guilty of a crime, but I don't know if it would actually be the best option. Thoughts?

You should turn yourself in.
Its clear most of your intentions are pure. You want to help the person you help feel closure. Even if some of your motives are selfish, its still a selfless act.
If you're going to get caught/charged anyways, it'd be better to turn yourself in too. The judge would likely give you an easier sentence, especially if you explain how you feel about the act you've committed.

I've been really fascinated by astrology lately, and one thing I come across is how I am supposed to be a highly aggressive, determined and focused person, but I am none of those things.

What I am is a highly self-doubting person who shies away from confrontation and tries to empathise with everyone and understand. As such, I have become complacent and passive, which I dislike extremly. Now I remember when I was younger, especially as a kid, I was much more brash, hostile even, and capable of great determination.
I talk a lot with my dad, and he's a virgo (rest unknown), and it's clear his self-depreciating and docile demeanor rubbed off on me. I see this as not necessarily a bad thing, however I can't help but suspect his influence has dampened my potential. I see that I need self-discipline for my life goals, which I will gain with conviction, but I find it impossible to be convinced. Everytime I want to kick and scream in frustration, my anger propelling me forward because my conviction telling me it's worth it, something in me just shuts down and I stop alltogether, because why sacrifice my mental peace?
How do I go about reigniting that asshole in me that has no doubt? How can I make myself into the person that butts heads and demands respect instead of appeasing everyone and never fighting for what I want?

Any doctor fags in the house?
Im a carpenter, and about a month and a half to 2 months ago i had my ring finger point crushed at work by a 250lb roll of weather membrane just below the middle joint.
It hurt like a mother fucker, but i kept working. It hurt mildly to use for 2 days then it was all good.
However 2 months later, theres still a bump, and it hurts just as much as it did day one but only if i touch it. It has full range of movement and does not hurt to use.
What did I do to it? Should i ask a doctor in person?

Theres a bit of emotion involved here. Making 2-3k a week after tax and that is not common or long lasting in my industry. We tend to suck this work up to survive the constant potential of long lay offs.
Im not making an excuse or giving you a good reason here..
Just an explanation as to why a doctor can be scary to us because they can put you out of work for awhile..
Like it doesnt hurt at all and it bends and moves as it should. Its just when i actually go out of my way to touch it does it hurt.

I had to move back in with my parents after 4+ years of independence.
It's been 22 days and I'm miserable but I've found solace in buying frivolous things for myself.
