You need a change in scenery. Find a 40 hour a week job, even if it's a gas station. Get an apartment. Hell, find a trailer for rent if you have to. If you live in an expensive city/ state, then move. If you don't have a girlfriend or kids to take care of, then it's the perfect opportunity to make some sacrifices. Find somewhere cheap, that you can afford with minimal effort.

Personally, I had this problem at your age. I moved to Oregon and started taking random jobs to see what I would like. Milking cows, working at a seafood factory, and even cutting/ selling firewood.

Its very difficult to gauge attraction. Everyones very different in how they show interest or sometimes don't because they feel awkward.

E.g. one of my female friends had a crush on me and showed it by doing nothing other than try to annoy me because she didn't know how else to interact with me. Whereas my GF would always stand super close to me and get touchy which I noticed prior to going out she didn't do with anyone else.

And the most important thing is; girls do not realise guys are attracted to them. Guys tend to assume girls are interested all the time if any interaction happens because its evolutionary viable for maximum shag motivation.

In short; just chat to someone more, make smalltalk, don't go into it with the expectation of a relationship or anything more, just find out more about them and see if you hit it off as people. Then ask further if that goes well.

One of my female friends has HUGE intimacy issues. She had a crush on me for a wee bit (found out when I started dating my now gf and she got really weird around me) but didn't know what to do because I was her friend and not a random tinder match she could avoid seeing again.
