Some black guy with a gold tooth tried to imply my best friend was a white supremacist for jokingly name-dropping the SS in a private conversation we were having in the gym locker room with my mate. No racial references, nothing. Literally a Family Guy-tier Nazi joke. After the joke was made, he started creepily looking us up and down as we were getting changed after showering, before cryptically talking to us about "standing up for our beliefs" and "not to cower". We eventually realised what he was on about when he told us that they should be teaching that to us in the "SS Army".

He also essentially implied that he had a violent past (and therefore in no position to be lecturing anyone about "beliefs") , by saying that if he were six to ninth months younger, we'd "have a serious problem".

Considering my grandfather is in fact an ethnic Jew and my mate's ancestors had to flee Nazi Germany for that reason, I'd say he's on very thin fucking ice interrupting like that and trying to play the victim. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I want to change my name because it's a dumb German name assigned to jew ancestors that literally means a type of merchant. Fuck me if I ever manage to have kids I would die before naming them after me. Also my dad I'm sure wouldn't really care, he hates his Jewish upbringing kek, also his parents too since he edgy. He raised me more humanist/secular.

Here's the question though: Which of these names do I take on as my new last name?

1. Sheehan - Mothers name, Irish side of family. Line has died out now because all my 3 uncles on this side were gay. Only the daughters married. My grandfather with this name is bretty cool 5/5 Irish Catholic doctor who moved to America.

2. Arsenault - Step-dad's name. Quebecois in origin. Line has also died out because his older brother had no kids, a lot of his many sisters married and had kids but obviously the name their kids got were from their fathers. Grandpa on this side is dead, was pretty cool guy even though I could barely speak French with him. It would mostly be because my step-dad had a really beneficial effect on me, being a more normal person and not a complete assburger Bernd like my father.

3. Arsenault Sheehan - Take both these names, in whichever order.

4. Maurice - Change middle name to last name, and simply drop current last name. My middle name is after my great grandfather, it's a Jew tradition I guess. Name is ok though I like it. Also is versatile because it has history as both an Irish name and a French name.

5. Some dumb meme made up last name. Not likely to do this I don't want to end up as Max Power.

So what do you think? Which option is best in your opinion?

I worked picking fruit at a fruit farm for cash in hand a couple of months back. Now my dad is mad at me because he thinks it's unsafe and I didn't tell him about it earlier because I know he wouldn't like me working on a farm. How can I help him to stop being upset with me? I've approved how I look a lot. And yet, here I am, and I feel worse than ever. I have a serious complex and sometimes I starve myself on the path to losing the last 20 pounds even if I know it probably won't fix anything.

Hi, I've been thinking about doing this for quite sometime eventhough it sounds very negative.

The thing is that women simply don't like me.
