The Korean alphabet is a lot easier to learn, Japanese has a lot more characters. I don't know enough about either to decide where I'd live, though I heard if there is ever an outbreak of war between North Korea and the US, that North Korea will abduct Americans from South Korea to hold hostage

The languages are of comparable difficulties. Honestly, the difficulty doesn't matter as much as your interest level, they're both alien enough to a native English speaker that they're going to require a pretty hefty time investment to learn, so you need to really be interested in the country and culture to keep your motivation up.
Japanese does have a more difficult writing system; grappling with that might tack on six months to a year to your learning process (given dedicated study). Korea is a little more xenophobic, although you will experience some xenophobia and ignorance in both countries. It's not too bad, though, and you'll have to deal with that as a westerner in literally any Asian country, even Taiwan.

I'm entering my freshman year of college in September, and I'm currently on-track to enter the CS major there. I really enjoy programming; in fact, I've been doing so on my own for about two years, and as such, am somewhat good at it (though by no means have I mastered it). I created my schedule with my advisor, and was placed in the introductory CS class that seems considerably below my skill level, with no possibility of entering the higher one without completing this one. I understand that this a few of waste-of-time classes are basically guaranteed as part of the college experience, however.
I'm also very interested in math, though I haven't self-studied it as intensively as CS. Looking down the road at a career, I feel like a job in math (probably research of some type) would be more meaningful to me than being some code monkey at a massive company.
I have about three months to freely add/drop classes, though about an entire semester to think about this, considering that the first semester would be pretty similar between either of those two majors. What are your thoughts?

Very long and emotional post about my life. Sorry, I just needed to get it off my chest, I dont have anyone to tell my troubles to.
I live in small country in the former Eastern Europe. I am currently studying on a high school, not really the best one I could pick, I seem to struggle in certain subjects (mathematics), but that's no really point of this thread. I'm the typical 5/10 edgelord sitting in the back of the class you could imagine. I wear only black clothes, listening to metal, redpilled fag who is being accused of being a nazi all the time. I have been mocked since elementary school by my schoolmates because of my small height, mu interrests and feelings. I don't have any friends anymore, not since all my friends started hanging out with the favorite ones, drinking alcohol, smoking weed etc.. I have never been invited to parties, noone ever asked me or took it seriously. I don't have need to go on parties, but it still touches my heart because no one in the class really gives a shit about me.

I can't do this any longer. I feel like telling her no matter the consequences is the best option, I am sure she would say no, but still see me as a friend who she likes. If so, I wouldn't be able to hang out with her anymore, my heart is always on fire every time I look her in the eyes.
There is no way I can lose contact with her for another few years since she's my classmate and I see her every day in school.
There's probably only one way out of this misery.
