How do I get past the school/volunteering/internship stage of life? I'm 30 and have never had a job that paid more than 12 dollars an hour, even though I'm a 3.7 student and have done a lot of work for free. Feeling depressed. Advice needed.

Hey guys I only have a Raspberry Pi but I want to play games. Any suggestions?

I can emulate: are there any sega games that you can suggest?

I've tried Minecraft on Pi, but there really seems to be no point to it?

I've played "Dink Smallwood", and I didn't really get that into it.


Any Raspberry Pi users that know of good linux games?

I just don't know what to do or even think anymore. People have been constantly calling me ugly and commenting on my appearance for so long. I've tried everything and it still happens constantly. People don't seem to see it as a bad comment either. They never seem to understand that it might have some kind of effect and they just keep doing it. I don't understand why.
I feel like it's hopeless at this point. Why should I even leave bed anymore when I'm going to spend the entire rest of my life hearing this from dozens upon dozens of people every day. I can't begin to describe how much it ruins your perception of yourself. I don't even feel worthy of living or speaking anymore. How are you expected to be able to live like this?

How can I make money on the side in a non-illegal manner working in an office of a that has a lot of wastefulness and non-existent oversight?

For example, I found out that our office throws all the used laser jet toners and cartridges for our printers and fax machines into the trash. I just found out that there is sites that buy these anywhere from $2-$5 EACH (verified we use the same ones they buy currently), and we've been doing this for years. We burn through 30-40 of these a month when I could have been cashing these in for extra bucks, which is what I'm going to start doing starting today.

So, sort of things like that. This is very much the stereotypical office setting with 150 or so staff, so there's a lot of waste and potential things to make money off of I feel, but I don't know what I don't know.

Any ideas?

Do we have to make reservations or walk-ins available? It's my first time going to one.

Getting my tattoo in next 2 weaks, still not figured out where should i put it, leg or shoulder. Need advice from people who work out or generally have few tattoos on themself to give me tips on better place. I'm gonna lose some weight in near future so will it get worse if i tattoo it on my shoulder? Is leg a safe shot?

Hey /adv/, I met this girl on Okcupid that I've been texting for like two days. She's out of town now, but we're gonna hang out and get drunk when she gets back. I think she's looking for a relationship and not a one night thing.

I told her I was going to a friends house tonight, and she told me to drunk text her if I get drunk because she "loves that shit". Why would she want me to do that?

I need to gain more energy to workout after work. I work 6 to 12am 6 days a week and it's not heavy lifting but just constantly standing so it takes a small toll of energy on top of waking up early. Ideally I want to work 6-12 then go right to the gym and not home so I don't get comfy and rest. It's just when I get out at 12 I'm tired and sleepy and have no energy to workout efficiently. What can I do to boost energy after work to go to the gym?
