I'm looking for a smart advice about a study I wanna do, and it's about learning english.
I really want to get a really high english certificate as it's not my native language and I want to get a universal certificate for either business or a future university signing.
How can I start studying? are out there some cool english books to start reading or advanced lessons I could take?
Or anything to help me improving my english?

Any advice on dealing with false allegations and sexual assault charges?
Ex-girlfriend is a nut and decided that I "raped" her 4 months before we broke up... Which is total bullshit, and they're basing the charges off of Facebook messages where she told me I violated her consent and me being a dumbass and not just ignoring her told her that I'm sorry and I didn't know that's how she felt. We were together for about a year. She decided to press charges against me after she assaulted me and child protective services got involved and I left her. Me being a cool guy, didn't press charges against her punching me in the head repeatedly, police were involved though and there's a record of it which should help my case. Getting a lawyer sorted out this week, but just looking for any advice from anyone that's gone through something similar.
Icing on the shit cake is that I work in vulnerable sectors and she's trying to basically ruin my reputation and my career here.

25yo Virgin here - First Relationship
So, I've been seeing this girl I met from mutual classes, we see each other everyday for the past 7 or so months. We eventually make plans to binge watch some shows and movies over at her place for the day. We set up in her bedroom on her bed rubbing, hugging, etc.
So a quarter way into one of the movies we both look at each other and she puckers; Up until this point we pecked each other one after the other all over the face and neck region. I thought maybe it's time we cut the middle man and I peck her on the lips, smile and continued watching the movie.
As a generally shy, keep to myself kind of person I thought, THAT has got to count as a first kiss, right?
Five to ten minutes later I notice her chest moving fairly quickly and I hear audible breathing I thought maybe she fell asleep. I chuckled, said did you fall asleep, then turn towards her and she was looking at me, eyes darting and she said "no". Next thing I know she's in my mouth, not knowing what to do, I followed her lead; tongue, lip biting/sucking. I'm lying there dumbfounded, it was all a blur; I couldn't believe what was happening. 30 second later she hops up on top of me, rubbing herself on me, she pauses for a moment and asks "What are you thinking?", but me still dazed could only utter "I-I-I u-u-h" and we continue making out and dry humping for about an hour. I honestly wasn't even prepared, I didn't bring anything with me because I really thought we were just going to watch stuff. It continues on and off as we watch stuff late into the night.
On my way out I jokingly said "I still haven't seen "movie" yet" and she replied "Well, it was your fault." smiling.
We see each other briefly the following day and she messages me "I wish I could have been around you longer" later that night.
How does she really feel, did I fail her? What do I make of the situation? Where do things stand at this point? It's become a distraction I would appreciate some thoughts.

How easy is it for someone in their mid/late 20's to find a new circle of friends?
The group that I've known since high-school have started taking drugs every time they meet up and have lost interest in pretty much everything else, and while I'm not bothered by what they choose to put in their bodies I don't see the appeal in taking drugs myself, even smoking weed which I did a lot of as a teenager.
Because of this, I feel like I have less in common with them as time passes and that I'm left with only one friend that lives near me that I would consider a close friend that wants to do things that aren't listening to house music and taking drugs.
Due to living abroad as a child and being able to speak Spanish I'm able to make friends with Spanish and Latino immigrants that have moved here easily as I can relate to their circumstances, but as they have no family ties they often move either to a different city or back to their countries when they have a good job opportunity.
How can I make long-lasting friendships with people when I'm not in school/college and not being invited to parties?

If you don't have social anxiety like 84% of the board say they do you should find it quite easy at your age. Work friends , clubs, a lateral move amongst your current friends, just hanging out.

Got invited to another party tonight but the girl I've been going to the other frat parties with doesn't want to go.
Maybe it's just paranoia or insecurity, but I feel like she just doesn't want to go with me.
I wanted to join a fraternity to hopefully force myself out of loneliness, whether that's making friends and/or meeting a girl.
Now that I met a girl that I actually like and don't just want to hook up with, I feel lost.
I want to be with her outside of just parties but I'm to afraid to even bring up just us two hanging out.
Maybe I fell for the Chad meme but I can't help but think that she's blowing me off for a Chad.

How do you manage loneliness?

I'm 18 and in a similar situation although I keep in touch online with high school friends, but I don't share interests with them. Find fulfilling stuff to do. Really think about your future and career and find something that you love to do and put effort into it. If you haven't done so start weightlifting too. It can really help with confidence and is a good hobby to have.

The military is a great route to get out of your comfort zone and meet people. My brother is in the Army and he has met people and made some friends. You can make a career out of it too, especially if you go SOCOM or another good route. Best of luck.
How or what do you do to fill the void between being unconscious?
I'm undirectioned, but not only that - what should I pour my limited time into? You could argue and say that if you don't try then you'll never know but I'm paralysed by choice and can't make a decision for fear of wasting time on the 'wrong' one.

I need some /adv/, I've always wanted to enlist, and work in the US military. I'm currently in my 3rd year of med school here in Costa Rica.
If I move to the US and apply, would my studies here be something that would "stand out" and help me get the job I want?
ps: Is there a chance that I can become a navy corpsmen? and does nationality matter in this case?

I think being an Emergency Physician would be a better route. You can still join the military but the pay and treatment would be far better as you will be an officer. Nevertheless if you want to become a Corpsman then I don't see why you couldn't become one.

I don't think it will make much of a difference as combat medicine is a different situation than being a physician. If you want to serve though they will take you.
