Hey, any Brits-Brit law fags around could use advice on tenance in England, any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.
You're expecting a British lawyer to just be hanging around 4chan at 10:30 pm on a Thursday?
>>18700694
>British
Sorry, don't give advice to subhumans. Why don't you make a /brit advice general/ thread and shit up this board like you do the rest of them
>>18700728

My dog of 13 years passed away last night after fighting tumours and other sicknesses. He was the sweetest little fuck in the world and never caused any trouble or ever needed much discipling. He survived a removal of a 10lbs tumour a few months back but I guess that wasnt enough to extend his life for another year. We tried everything we could to save him.
Like most pet owners feel about their own, i loved this little guy with all of my heart and i think that ill have a long coping period.
I am most worried about my dad as he's retired, my mom still works, me and my sister have both moved out. He doesnt really have many friends these days and suffers from depression after already experiencing the loss of hus mother and father. He really just spends most of his time with the dog or concerned about/helping out me and my sister.
TL;DR
My dog passed away. What are some coping techniques and advice you can give to help myself and my family, specifically my father. Also feel free to share any similar stories.
Thanks in advance.
>>18700663
Spend as much time with him as you can for a while
>>18700663
sorry anon, my dog died last week
My dog had a good life, it was happier than most people are; so I don't feel bad for him.
maybe you should get a new dog?
It's not like remarrying

>>18700717
True. Sorry to hear about yours. Thanks anon.
I need suggestions for a small to medium size company with little to no social media presence. I have to do a semester long project and finding someone that isn't local is impossible without social media.
So, give me some interesting companies or products that you all love that maybe aren't well known.
>>18700653
Perhaps try searching up a company that makes postage stamps? It probably doesn't have much social media, but could benefit from it.
>>18700653
I don't know if you've ever heard of this company that makes a thing called fidget spinners or not. i just put about $12,000 into startup with the inventor and he assures me that it might be a few years, but one day it's going to explode. At the moment we're still stuck in the 'mom n' pop' phase.
Any advice on how to not be so much of a perfectionist?
The alternative is being mediocre, so no.
Spend time outside of your social caste.
I cant finish during intercourse cuz my arousals all fucked up from depersonalization caused by sexual coersion.
I dont feel part of life
>>18700532
>depersonalization caused by sexual coersion
seems like a key indicator that your relationship needs help.
step 1: talk to your partner about how you feel
if you already did then what did he say?
>>18700551
It wasnt causwd by my partner, it was caused by someone in the past years ago that sexually coersed me
>>18700532
Psycholog + cbt.
So I take magnesium lactate and vitamin b6 after running, but I read somewhere that magnesium+vitamin b without folic acid can cause neurological disorder. "You need to assure you have both B vitamins and folic acid together. One without the other can cause serious nonreversible neurological damage can cause neurological disorder if not taken with vitamin b1 that can't be recovered." Is this true? Should I stop taking magnesium? I take about 400mg. The problem is my supplement only has magnesium and vitamin b6.
Why not talk to your doctor?
>>18700507
Just buy some folic acid? Folic acid is B9, if you're worried about od'ing or some random shit you just piss it out like the rest of the B vitamins. Also i've never heard that.
Hey guys
This has been growing on my arm wtf is it should I get it checked out?
>>18700436
a scab and a scar from whatever cut/scratch happened there?
>>18700436
It looks like an allergic reaction
>>18700442
No, that's a form of eczema. I have it too.
It's not dangerous OP. It can last for months, though. I would recommend you to see a dermatologist, just in case.
How do you meditate?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3yf8JFHVyc4
Think hard about nothing.
sit on a cushion with your spine straight and legs crossed
set a timer for 20 mins
rest one hand on the other so the tips of your thumbs are touching
close your eyes and focus all your energy on your nostrils and the sensation of breath going in and out continuously
dont breathe manually just let go
if you find yourself distracted by thought count each breath in from 10 down to 1 until you're focused again
do this at least once a day for a week and then increase the time by a minute
Hi there, I need some advice. Lately I've been feeling empty and sad on the inside. I try getting rid of it by watching a good film, listening to music, playing a game and by studying. However I still feel empty and in a weird way, detached from everyone, even the people and friends I usually enjoy being around with in university. Even whenever a professor is elaborating topics I love during lectures, I can't help but feel empty, sad and detached. I wonder how I can regain a feeling of happiness again. Any advice /adv/?
Search yourself and think about just why you feel the way you do. What caused it? At what point in time did you start feeling like this?
Since you mentioned you're a student, your university likely has a counseling center that can help.
I am exactly how you are. Not really suicidal sad, but empty sad. And when the feeling gets really bad i listen to sad music like lofi or chillhop. I find it more relaxing than happy music because happy music just reminds you of what you dont have but want so badly.
Depression is a chemical imbalance, it's simple as that.
There are studies that prove that proper diet and exercise are extremely beneficial to mental health. I can personally attest to this. While you are depressed it is hard to find motivation to better yourself so I would start just by improving your diet and everything else will fall into place afterwards.
Straight guy here. I found out my best friend, who is gay, was secretly in love with me a long time ago. I've been checked out by gay guys sometimes, which wasn't that big a deal, but knowing my gay friend was in love with me makes me extremely uncomfortable. Does this make me homophobic? I'd like to think I don't have prejudices.
>>18700240
You're afraid someone might think of you as gay because you're straight and you're close friends with him and he loves you. I'd take it as a compliment.
>>18700240
How does it make you homophobic? It's awkward when someone likes you and you don't like them, regress of sexual orientation. The fact your straight and he's your friend makes it super mega death christ awkward lol. You're not homophobic for feeling that. Just don't judge him for it/hate him for it. He can't help it.
>>18700564
This
Make it clear you're not gay and never will be but don't let his gayness get in the way of being friends.
Hey hello.
What are some easy to cook breakfast/meals I can make if I want to lose weight?
inb4 go to /fit/
>>18700159
Just google CICO (Calories In Calories Out), document yourself and then use this website to find out how many calories you have to eat per day to maintain your weight.
https://tdeecalculator.net/
Just eat 500 less each day and you'll lose weight.
It's that simple.
It doesn't matter what you eat as long as you don't go over your calorie limit.
t. ex-fatty turned into fit guy
Oatmeal, son. Tasteless? Yes. But get used to that shit if you want to lose weight.
How to I initiate conversations with people in Uni?
I'm always silent, I never talk to anyone because I dont know how to actually make friends and start a conversation with people. Help me out, /adv/
bumping this
How have you made it this far without learning this. By being in the same place at the same time you must have loads in common.
Find someone you are interested in talking to, and watch them during a lecture until they type or write something you can relate to, and then ask them about it.
I feel like I'm not good enough for my family or the things/life i've been given. I wish I was a better son and man. I feel guilty. I try my best but I come up short in so many ways.
What should I do?
Keep trying. Bettering yourself takes time. You may come up short, but let yourself feel assured that you're striving to do your best nevertheless.
Keep trying. Do not give up. Itll work out in the long run.
Are you me? Hang in there anon...they say it gets better. You will find a way just dont give in and dont feed the negative sides of your life. Nuture the good and it will make a difference no matter the circumstances.
I'm currently in my second term of college and my roomie started dating. They're becoming annoying and their love is in the air contaminating my oxygen, which makes me really uncomfortable and irritated.
Long story short, I feel out of place in my room because they are always together making out or doing some other shit, which grosses me out and makes me feel very uncomfortable. It really ruined my mood for two weeks now, at this point I don't want to go back home or to dorm and I spend most of my time trying to be outside or do something worthwhile.
How do I stop being so bothered by their fuckery? My mood is shitty all the time and my roomie's gf already shouted at me for kind of ignoring her (I usually listen to music to drown out the background noises and at that time I didn't hear what the fuck she was saying)
Am I the most at fault here? What should I change?

>>18700087
Is it a shared dorm room then?
Good fuckin luck. The benefit of having a shared living space but individual rooms was a fucking MUST when I went to uni.
Plus my flat mates are generally courteous. They'd usually not PDA in front of each other.
Hell me and my GF both hate PDA in front of people we know because we'd be uncomfortable if the situation was reversed. They're at fault.
>>18700087
have you thought about talking to your roommate and expressing yourself?
