The characters however are pretty cute. Will stood out as being this adorkable tomboy in the comic, which kinda let anyone fill their shoes.

Many many years ago on /co/ there was a general thread discussing the comic and some anon just posed the innocent question "one of will's friends has a crush on will's mom, who is it?" Next post was "It's will."

Then a dude named gunwild wrote a sexy cute smutty fanfiction on the spot with an anonymous artist (now goes by psudonym) joined in with some suggestive drawings. For quite a while the pair was one of /co/s favorites to bring up.

Italian comic about magical girls a la Sailor Moon.

The comic was very popular in Europe and South America. The characters were varied and cute, plots intresting if you could get behind the Teenage girl protagonists (/co/ liked to say they wished they could be the little girl because of how engaging the teenage drama coule get).

There was the appeal of transformation into adults and all that entails, the girls themselves were sexy as teens and adults, and the mothers, with a lot of 34 focused on mom/daughter incest.

/co/ is responsible for most of it, particularly Will/Susan, in part because redhead leader and the most focus on them.

Unfortunately this meant that the other girls and milfs got ignored hard, particularly because they didn't get fanfiction to inspire artists.

Samson has produced the rest, Jiman comissioned a bunch, Irma was second most popular girl because she was deliciously healthy.

The cartoon was popular because of a namefag/tripfag and the screencap threads, but it didn't hold a candle to the comic (though it got better in the second season and did a couple of things better than the comics).

The comics themselves peaked around its second arc (20 something issues), and then began a steady decline in quality, but remained fairly good until the fifth arc (issue 50 is a nice ending point because it shows their possible future selves, and they are all ridiculously hot).

Everthing after the sixth arc is shit, with retcons unpon retcons, uneven handle of the teen drama and magical adventures, lots or romance crap involving new boyfriends and shit.

The art is still pretty good, and their new power outfits are nice, but not as sexy.

100 issues in it was finally cancelled with a bunch of plot threads hanging, but trust me they were garbage and deserved it.

Issue 50 is where the perfect ending point (no new threats are introduced yet, the characters are developed, the original romances still stand strong).
