Today I finished writing the last big scene/event for the game. That is another huge step towards the (INEVITABLE!!!) release. Which is gonna happen soon, no doubt. Oh, yes, so very soon...

I also recorded the video above where I show off all the hand-written manuscripts containing the new (for the gold edition) events. Don't freak out, 99.99% of the text you see is already in the game, supplied with all the necessary scripts, CGs and whatnot. I'm just showing your those as a sort of "Making of/behind the scenes" sort of developers blog thing...

Also someone sent me a link to one of my old livejournal posts, and re-reading it now reminded me how much my life changed for the past couple of years... Drastically changed I would say... I used to be neck deep in shit. These days it's more like waist deep.

It also reminded me of the times when instead of loosing my mind over creating fucking games I worked on comics and clever illustrations. Also had time to blog, play video games and would even hang out with my friends on occasion...

On the bright sight these days I have enough coins to pay that super pricey VanArts tuition, and as soon as I release "PT:GOLD" I'll start collecting documents for my visa and such...

Well, guys thank you for being such a big part of my life... Nah, scratch that. Thank you for consuming my life entirely. But you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks to all that is happening I was able to bring Lola, Iris and quite a few other memorable characters into this world. And I hope this is only the beginning for all of us ^_^

My point is that because of how different western and eastern culture and social acceptance is of what porn has and entails makes it just like any other game genre.

For example take American comic books and then compare them to Japanese manga. While overall the length and delivery of chapters are the same as in they are released separately and only a few pages at the time, they are different in that comic books are released for sale per chapter while manga is first released in jump then grouped together from the chapters that have been released so far and then sold again in a bundle of chapters.The way story's are made and presented are different as well. While they may seem the same they are different.

This applies to games as well. WRPGs fans have their standards which are different to the standards held by JRPGs fans. Some like the straight story with extra content thrown in from WRPGs while others like the overall grind and equipment collecting found in JRPGs.


The point of it being Japanese is that while they can have loli and snuff and other stuff it has to be censored for stuff that shouldn't matter such as dicks and vagina. It also has to do with the fact that they can sell physical copies of the games while the last time a game such as what we are talking about from there was sold overseas that it raised a huge bitch-fit because of it's content.

Western porn(American atleast) can be uncensored but cant contain some stuff like the Japanese can because of the laws and then the overall reaction it would receive upon release would make matters worse.

Was just in weg and decided against posting any stuff I create there.

It will be an RPG Maker game (VX Ace) and it's basically about demonic corruption of the MC and him in turn corrupting people once the MC's corruption is strong enough. That's the basic premise at least.
I did draw some inspiration from a popular P&P game here in Germany (Das Schwarze Auge) as to how that corruption will play out.
There's a lot of stuff I will still have to decide on, but the next few days will be consumed by more writing.
Thinking of throwing a good ending in there as well.
I know it's not a lot, but I really don't know what to say when talking about my own ideas for games or stories. (Not a sales person, obviously.)

I am thinking I want to include some different races. I am pretty open when it comes to that, so be it centaur, mermaid, snake girl...
There will definitely be female demons though. The main one corrupting you takes on different forms and she'll throw her underlings at you, at first in dreams, later in reality. It all depends on how open your character ends up being towards the whole idea of working with that demon.
You will definitely be able to fight the corruption, in which case you'd decline the offer of sexy fun times with succubi (might still happen in a dream, but I am not that far yet).

You start of not even knowing you are helping people from that demon's cult.
There will also be a duality of a goddess and that demon, being each other's antagonists. However, it's not always clear whether you are still in territory of the goddess or already of the demon due to what they stand for.
You'll change your level of corruption based on decisions you make, but if you go too far, you essentially doomed your soul to that demon's hell and she'll come and take it from you.
More corruption also grants you more demonic abilities though, so you just gotta choose carefully.
Haven't really thought too much of physical changes based on corruption. There will definitely be signs of it and I hope to have those influence how people interact with you (no promises).
So far I was rather thinking along the lines of the corrupted changing themselves physically (granted by the demoness in return for more corruption), but I guess there could be ways to change the appearance of someone willing or deep enough under your influence. However, I want to actually finish the game first. This kind of stuff is nice to think about, but it will only be added if I expand the already finished game later.
I don't want to make plans so big they are doomed to fail or promise too much.

Definitely no mixing of powers.
The demon is not too strict when it comes to consent, to put it nicely. The powers they'd grant you would go against the other's spirit entirely and neither the demon nor the goddess would ever grant you powers if you are following the path of the other. No character following the path of the goddess would want anything to do with the demon anyway and the goddess won't grant you powers if you are corrupted, as you would just use them for the opposite of what the goddess stands for.
I didn't really intend for a pure goddess path, as that would either cut the game short or basically require me to put two games in one. I might go for the short route though (with the possibility of expanding after it's finished).
You can basically either choose to get corrupted (if you even realise you are being corrupted early enough) or defy it and seek help from the church of that goddess. If I manage to write properly, you won't even realise the corruption going on at first though and have to fight it later on, which of course would make it harder.
The level of corruption should ideally have an influence on the choices you can make.

The trick is to play different demons off against each other so they hinder each other from taking your soul. It's either all or nothing, you can't break a soul into pieces. You'd need to be strong enough and have influence in a demon's realm for that demon to care about not giving your soul away. They'd end up giving another demon some power over their realm if they get a hold of your soul then.
Eating demons would just end up corrupting you more and there is no magic strong enough to actually get you out of the hands of a demon.

I actually don't plan to make any money off of that game. This is my first try at actually developing a game and I don't want to end up hating to work on that game and dropping it after people gave me money to finish it. Once I really know what I got myself into and have something I would call a finished game, I might take donations to work on different things/to expand the game. But that's a lot of ifs and whens and I don't want to be one of those guys claiming they'll make tons of games if I haven't even finished one.
And honestly, I produce software without any kind of compensation as a hobby myself, so I doubt I need money to stay motivated. As long as I actually like the product, I will keep working.
